  1. Depends on the intent. Obviously a horrible accident involving a firearm is one thing. But I DO believe the parents should be held responsible or if not the parents the person who allowed a gun to fall into the hands of a 4 yo. As my dad used to say, "The weight of a gun is not measured in ounces or grams, but the responsibility it represents." That is why responsible owners know: 1. Always point a gun in a safe direction 2. Never put your finger on the trigger until you are ready to use a gun 3. Assume a gun is ALWAYS loaded, even when you know it isn't 4. Always secure a weapon not in use. This can be a properly installed gun trigger lock or bolt lock, gun safe or place inaccessible to others. 5. When you fire a gun, you can never recall that bullet. So be certain where you fire is free of obstruction and safe from others.
  2. Good for you, hope that works out for you. I'll stick with my plan that if you are breaking in and the dogs don't stop you, I will.
  3. I see the issue, debates can propose hypothetical situations. So hypothetically a gun can jump off a shelf, load itself, hop down the street and shoot someone? Figure it out, there ARE people out there who despite the means will and WANT to do people harm. Denying they exist is no better than burying your head in the sand. Simply put, "If you want to try to outrun a bad person with a gun (because they won't give theirs up) be my guest. I'll pray a nice person who is carrying a gun is willing to defend your life. In the mean time if you want to discourage crimes with firearms, why not work for tougher justice for those who would commit crimes WITH a gun?
  4. So in a home invasion situation people should... A. Sit and watch, maybe lend a hand. B. Pull a Chuck Norris Moment and get shot by the criminal. C. Bend over and take it like a liberal. D. Have a plan of where to make a stand and have a loaded gun available. E. Call magley to come rescue them by talking the criminal to death with peace and love. Because as we know, if I don't have a gun the criminal will throw his away. Your view = skewed.
  5. Odd, last I checked it was the person who's finger pulled the trigger that goes to jail, not the gun he was holding.
  6. I thought most illegal guns were supplied by "fast and furious" curtesy Eric Holder
  7. Ohhhhh, the PC police are on there way now. Three weeks of Obama diversity training for you!!

Definition of a friend is someone who you'd stand by thru thick and thin. So I understand and respect you for doing so as your friend.
  9. Don't they have the bottles full of sleeping pills and stool softeners labeled as "strong narcotics" "Oh, here you are Mr. Bad guy. Now go to sleep and crap yourself for being a moron pill poper"
  10. The liberals are just trying to make sure criminals stay employed instead of getting fired (at).
  11. Improper gear, aggressive riding and just being general dumb asses. I suppose if squid is offensive I could call them just good old fashioned dumb asses.

I'm always happy to help fellow riders keep from getting screwed. I'm glad they have been fair to you and they never screwed me either. But neither of us ever took a bike to them either. Question you should be asking is why did MJ act in such a deceptive way? If the quad was stolen, report it, don't look at the owner and say, "It's your problem". It's is your choice if you continue to support them, it will not change my respect for your opinions about motorcycles or riding.

These storms have a lot of cloud cover. That make photos much harder as the clouds reflect a lot of light and conceals the lightening too. The best photos are often taken when the sky around you is clear or high level clouds and the thunderhead is either approaching or passing by allowing for a clearer view. I'll be ready tonight if some good lightening storms pop up.
  14. Agreed, it was stupid. Unless the car backed up to come after them staying behind the car at a safe distance was their safest move. Not making any excuses for the car driver, just pointing out the video is very damming for the actions the squids took.
  15. Yeah, because what these squids did was much safer. I'm glad the cops (I assume) pulled them all over. But as others have said I doubt the squids got and bonus points for egging the car on.

Yes, I've tried several video cameras including my contour. Problem is they can not adjust fast enough in most cases for the flash of the lightening so all you get is a big white frame.
  18. No excuse for what either side was doing. Guys on the bikes that got hit are dam lucky to be alive. However, that was an escalating situation and it wasn't like the car was going to outrun them. Just tag along and wait till they car stops someplace or runs out of gas.

You'd be surprised how many people from other forums saw this. MJ's actions didn't win them and loyalty and the cost to MJ is more than just a quad at this point.

  21. Yeah, imagine what it would do to a bunch or radio active geeks!
  22. Wanna know why I moved from the west side of Gahanna after Easton was built? Worked for a guy near Schotenstines for a while. Every day we'd come back from cutting up trees to see what the homies had stollen that say.
  23. Was he shopping a Vances when ti happened? Opps forgot MJUSA is there too.
