  1. This is where OC bothers me! First off, I have a CCW and carry daily. I dont open carry, I'm not totally opposed to it and wish it was more widely accepted. However, you found a place where the manager does not know the law and he obviously didnt like you OCing in there. Now you want to go back and do it again!!! this will likely cause a no guns sign to go up and make it a pain for all the rest of us to CC. You already have your CCW, why not just cover up when in the store........ no grief and no new signs.
  2. Dont worry, Obama will fix the situation. He wants to grant them all amnesty. I'm sure once they are all legal citizens they will stop being criminals, never wind up on any form of public assistance and amnesty should discourage any more of them from sneaking into the country, right? With the un-employment rate at the highest in decades, tax revenue at a low and national debt at an all time high, surely more people will just help, right? Obama is dumber than chicken.........
  3. LMAO...... way too many people think exactly like her......
  4. I think in this area, most people think redneck when they see it but further south the meaning is more along the lines of the rebellious spirit that "We the people" wont be held down by a tyranical government. It is the spirit that has made this country great. The slave issue didnt come to the forefront until Lincoln used the Emancipation Proclamation to turn a large portion of the population against the south from within (the slaves) it was a brilliant strategic move on his part. I dont fly it..... but I understand why many do.....
  5. I know first hand how it goes, I see it all the time with rentals and my friend manages project housing. Single moms sign up for every program they can find and the drug dealer boyfriend stays a few nights a week and they drive Chevy tahoe or something similar..... you see them lined up in front of the projects. Most of these people work harder at scamming the system than they would at a respectable job. Somehow it just doesn't make sense to pay millions to scammers so they can stay at home and do nothing while keeping the borders wide open for illegals to come in and take jobs, get paid under the table, contribute nothing in tax revenue and send money out of the country. But if you ask a liberal....... it usually makes perfect sense to them..........
  6. Next time you get pulled over just say "No Hablo Ingles" and they will assume you are an illegal alien and just let you go...... well....... for now anyway!
  7. I'd like to know where all the left wing nut jobs are on this one........ I mean, every loony tree huggin wack job in the country was protesting, marching, bitching on the news about the Exxon thing........... this is 5 times worse and they are all being quiet........ Feds are sitting on their hands doing nothing.......... something is starting to smell worse than the rotting fish on the Luisiana coastline!
  8. LMAO: Of course, they don’t see it as self imposed. It’s all George Bush’s fault. He broke Obama’s promise to put all bills on the White House web site for five days before signing them. He broke Obama’s promise to have the congressional health care negotiations broadcast live on C-SPAN. He broke Obama’s promise to end earmarks. He broke Obama’s promise to keep unemployment from rising above 8 percent. He broke Obama’s promise to close the detention center at Guantanamo in the first year. He broke Obama’s promise to make peace with direct, no pre-condition talks with America’s most hate-filled enemies during his first year in office, ushering in a new era of global cooperation. He broke Obama’s promise to end the hiring of former lobbyists into high White House jobs. He broke Obama’s promise to end no-compete contracts with the government. He broke Obama’s promise to disclose the names of all attendees at closed White House meetings. He broke Obama’s promise for a new era of bipartisan cooperation in all matters. He broke Obama’s promise to have chosen a home church to attend Sunday services with his family by Easter of last year. Yes, it’s all George Bush’s fault. President Obama is nothing more than a puppet in the never-ending, failed Bush administration.
  9. Then you wont mind if I add that this was pushed by Bill Clinton and Robert Rubin and was co-authored by the recently appointed to Deputy secretary of the treasury Neil Wolin. (Obama administration) Rubin was secretary of treasury under Clinton and now heads up Citi group I believe and has also been with Goldman Sachs and Enron as well. But I'm sure that has nothing to do with recent bail outs using tax payer money............ (sarcasm!) I wonder what other damage Neil Wolin can do before he leaves office? Sort of seems the same ole players are coming back in to finish the job of destruction they started years ago............
  10. I did read it and it clearly states: "signed into law by President Bill Clinton which repealed part of the Glass-Steagall Act of 1933,"
  11. Uh...... it wasn't included in the constitution. It said this: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances"
  12. A lot of people dont like giving out personal; info on themselves, especially to the government. The people in the article obviously reacted the wrong way. I'm all for telling the Gov how many people live in my home but I'm not giving out financial or personal info to them no matter how friendly a person they send around to collect it.
  13. http://voices.washingtonpost.com/federal-eye/2010/05/woman_killed_by_police_after_h_1.html When police arrived, the man answered the door armed with a handgun. His wife also approached with a shotgun, pointed it at the officers in a threatening manner and was later shot and killed when she refused to drop the weapon.
  14. Glad the good Lord was looking out for your family........... makes you think.....
  15. Sweet!!!!!!! Go Arizona Go. It makes me want to buy something from Arizona........ I'll have to do some research next time I need to order something........ may as well get it from Arizona.......
  16. My wood deck is about 7 years old, needs stained every year and generally a piece of crap that needs replaced. The next one (if I stay here) will be composite.
  17. From OFCC: "Licensed D-Liquor Permit premises in which any person is consuming liquor. Concealed firearms are banned in premises for which a D permit has been issued or in an open air arena for which a permit of that nature has been issued. There are some exceptions to this prohibition. The prohibition does not apply to principal holder of D permit as long as principal holder is not consuming liquor. The prohibition does not apply to an agent or employee of the principal holder who is also a peace officer who is also off duty. Possession of a concealed firearm is allowed in a retail store with a D-6 or D-8 permit as long as concealed carry license holder is not consuming liquor. Class D permits are generally issued to an establishment that sells alcohol for consumption on the premises. In any event, be certain of the type of permit and whether liquor is being consumed before you enter with a concealed handgun."
  18. Yea....... it all depends how you label stuff, you can pretty much get a chart to read the way you want it. What it boils down to for me is: Earning your own way= Good Mooching from others= Bad Charitable giving = Good Forced redistribution= unforgiveable
  19. And back on topic......... California doesn't even have a military or an ongoing war to fight. I'm not going to argue with anyones attempt to cut budgets of waste or fraud whether its military or otherwise. Fraud is fraud. However I see social programs as an enslavement of people. I've seen too much personally. Speaking from my own observations in life; Everyone has a certain comfort level that they need to maintain. I worked to better myself till I reached a level I could be comfortable at........ Some peoples comfort level is way above mine and they generally have worked harder or longer to get there, some peoples comfort level is way below mine and the handout programs they receive more than provide that comfort level. They have no reason to be motivated. I've seen it with friends, with my rental houses, I've seen it in project housing that my friend manages. These handouts are a social cancer that needs cut to the bone for the good of the people who currently receive it. It is the stupidest thing in the world for the tax payer to support all these people and then allow illegals to come in to do the jobs that we pay our citizens "not" to do. So the welfare people are a burden for the tax payer and the illegals are a burden to the taxpayer and neither one contribute............ that is stupid!!!......... as a tax payer, I protest!!! I want to put people to work in the private sector, I want everyone who can to help contribute and those arent supposed to benefit, shouldnt!!!!
  20. The Government Deception The pie chart below is the government view of the budget. This is a distortion of how our income tax dollars are spent because it includes Trust Funds (e.g., Social Security), and the expenses of past military spending are not distinguished from nonmilitary spending. For a more accurate representation of how your Federal income tax dollar is really spent, see the large chart (top). HOW THESE FIGURES WERE DETERMINED urrent military” includes Dept. of Defense ($653 billion), the military portion from other departments ($150 billion), and an additional $162 billion to supplement the Budget’s misleading and vast underestimate of only $38 billion for the “war on terror.” “Past military” represents veterans’ benefits plus 80% of the interest on the debt.*
  21. A public employee in California with 30 years of service can already retire at 55 with more than half of his salary as pension, and public-safety workers can get 90 percent of their salary at age 50. Another budget buster is California’s spending on social services, clocking in at about 70 percent more per capita than the national average. Leading the way is state spending on cash assistance programs (that is, welfare), where the state expends nearly three times more per resident than other states. There’s a good reason for this rich budget. California’s legislature has only reluctantly embraced federal welfare reform, and for years the state has had one of the worst records in moving people from welfare to work because state law limits the ability of welfare administrators to sanction those who refuse to participate in work programs. California politicians have been expert at avoiding dealing with these problems. In 2003, enraged citizens recalled Gov. Gray Davis after he announced an impending $38 billion budget deficit. Arnold Schwarzenegger promised reform but delivered only a year of it. When tax revenues spiked in the national economic recovery that started in 2004, California politicians went on another spending spree, increasing expenditures by $34 billion, or 32 percent, in just four years before revenues slumped again. http://www.realclearmarkets.com/articles/2009/02/should_we_let_california_go_ba.html
  22. You cant bitch about military spending. Now if you want to point out waste or fraud, I'm cool with that but before you can spend any money in your home, you have to be sure you can defend it and protect it...... I cant figure out liberals wanting to cut military and then create bunches of programs to keep people depenent. Any place you spend tons of government money on social programs, people dont get motivated and go to work...... all you get is more people flocking to the free hand out...... problem just gets worse.
  23. When trying to drive a capitalist economy, if you weight it down with socialist spending, you cant say capitalism failed when it goes broke. Thats like repairing your ford with schwin bicycle parts then bitching about the unreliabilty of the ford when the schwin parts break down and leave you sitting by the side of the road.
