  1. From news conf: Nothing really new except that there were *no* unexploded devices found. Only two bombs were involved, both were detonated.
  2. Honey Boo-Boo's mom just bought you. Dinner is served.
  3. How often do US drones bomb schools? Obviously not a girls school, because the Taliban execute girls who dare to go to school in Pakistan. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malala_Yousafzai#Assassination_attempt
  4. I read he was being "interviewed about involvement". No need to shoot and kill him unless we at least figure out if he's involved.
  5. I'm seeing reports of unexploded devices - one at JKF/UMass and one at the Mandarin Hotel.
  6. Found the location of the accident in google maps. Looks like a nice road. The ditch is not really visible in street view.
  7. Abs = no flip. Although I think in Jess' case there was nothing she could do. With ABS she's still in the ditch, just a bit slower and still on two wheels. Not sure how much that would have helped. It all went to shit VERY quickly.
  8. P1 and P2 are the "intermediate" and "advanced tracks", right? which is which?
  9. Back when civillians were valid targets. A dark era. That's why nuclear war would be such a terrible thing - it's one thing to drop a jdam in Kim Jong Un's lpa and take out him and everyone in the room - but if we were to drop a B83 on pyonyang we could see 2 million dead. When you say "they did the same thing to Japan" you mean "we did the same thing to Japan", right? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bombing_of_Tokyo
  10. Easy to remove. Heck, I took my own stitches out of my chin when I was 13. 7 of them as I recall. Grab the ears with tweezers and cut right under the knot - but make sure you only cut one side of the loop or else you could wind up with a length of suture stuck in your skin and getting infected. I always take my own stitches out unless they are in a place I can't reach. I took my own vasectomy stitches out. Meh. Try to get a disposable suture knife (medical supply place?) Extremely sharp, easy to control. If it was me I'd attach a small bulldog clip to the ears of the sutures to apply the requires pressure so you can get the blade in under the knot.
  11. I would hug hum but I wouldn't feel anything through my gear.
  12. It's called an asymmetrical frame slider.
  13. I never said you have to wear one. Just said musing about the value you place on your brain.
  14. Should have had a helmet on his knee. Anyone who rides without a helmet has nothing up there worth protecting.
  15. They only wanted to stop him, not vaporize him leaving a smoldering crater...
  16. Happens in Russia. They don't care about keeping to lanes so you get cars three abreast on two-lane roads. It's normal there. Don't want it to be normal here. Although it's a stupid excuse for banning lane splitting.
  17. He can be well liked and respected and still get shot for waving a gun around in public. I'll be interested to see what the investigation says.
  18. I know that look... You wave them closer and they look at you like you're going to road rage them.
  19. Here's an intersection I've had trouble with: The red box shows the grooves in the pavement where the sensor wires are. Note the obvious flaw. If you don't pull up past the stop bar then you won't be seen, car or bike. The lights can cycle for the crosswalk or opposing traffic, but won't turn green for this lane unless there is a car in this lane. The sensor does not pick up bikes even if you park in the front left corner with your wheels directly on the seam. If you DO pull up past the stop bar then you have committed an offence, you are going to get honked at by people turning left across the front of you, and if one of them clips you on the way pas then it's YOUR fault. I run this light pretty much every time I come to it - but I still have to wait two cycles. Another one for the city engineer to sort out.
  20. They are making a second movie - out in 2014. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_SpongeBob_SquarePants_Movie_2 The voice actors are all very prolific. Mr.Krabs' voice is supplied by the guy who played the original inhabitant of "The Hatch" in Lost before Desmond arrived. Squidward's voice is done by the same guy who played Professor Membrane in Invader Zim. Plankton is Filburt from Rocko's Modern Life. Jill Talley (Karen, Plankton's computer wife) is voiced by Tom Kenny's wife, who also does Sarah Dubois in the Boondocks.
  21. Anyone who laughed at that just admitted to watching Spongebob. ...And so did I.
  22. Any time I run a light because it didn't cycle I send an email to the city engineer. They usually fix them within a few weeks. And I set the dashcam video aside, just like you...
  23. You can proceed through a red light in Ohio if the lights don't cycle in a reasonable amount if time. If I am alone I will run the red (safely) if my lane is skipped for two light cycles, or 5 minutes passes with no cycling and there is a break is cross traffic. If there is a car behind me I motion the up to have them park over the sensor.
