Nitro jacket sold

Part of the issue is the amount of other stuff us real cops deal with (state patrol excluded since their job entails mostly just traffic). I might be en route to one of the 20 calls I handle in an 8 hour shift when I fall in behind your light malfunctioning / tailgating / texting driver. I can't delay a more urgent call to make a traffic stop on some minor bullshit. The stops I do make are either out of dispatched calls or they are made when I am not currently on or en route to another call... and as I have said in numerous other posts on this topic, I generally don't write for minor stuff unless there is an extenuating circumstance or it leads to a bigger violation. I concur, but it's the principle of the thing, coupled with the fact that if they didn't prosecute, everyone who got a MM citation would then contest it knowing it would be dismissed, thus "contributing to the chaos". It would basically be free reign to drive like an asshole, if you get caught, oh well - ticket will be dismissed anyway. Edited for this side note - you want to discuss wasted spending, if the OSP plane gets you and you fight the ticket, the pilot FLIES to the airport, parks the plane, and gets a ride from a trooper to the courthouse. He and the issuing trooper then wait for court... so the state is paying 2 guys OT, plus the cost of flying a plane to wherever, which can't be cheap... all that for a MM ticket on which the state will collect about $26 after court fees and such.

We've kind of reached that point now. Every time the law changes, the manufacturers tweak the compounds. Even with more generalized wording in the laws to make "substantially similar" compunds illegal, a lot of times the prosecutors won't try a case that they feel is iffy. Testing and classification of these things is well behind the manufacturers timetable of designing and producing the drugs. I promote putting massive amounts of ricky-ticky bad shit out there and letting the idiots kill themselves all off.

Watched SNL last night... well, as much as I could stomach...

It's cyclic, like everything else in life. -
Let's see, I stop 4+ people a night and only issue citations for the more blatently reckless violations, crashes, DUS, and DUI. General speeds, stop signs, stuff that I give a pass on unless the person is a scroaty scroatbag or the DUS / DUI thing comes into play. If I then write a ticket under state code, the city gets no revenue. If the person then fights that ticket, the city actually loses money because they pay me to go to court, and pay the municpal prosecutor to prosecute the case. If I write a ticket under city code, and the person pays the ticket, the city gets $13. If the person then fights the ticket, again, the city loses money by having to pay me and the prosecutor. So yeah, us fucking cops are out there cracking out the tickets to bolster our city's revenue. I will grant you that communities which use a "mayors court" do see more revenue per ticket, but it's still a small amount and really is more of a "break even" proposition.

SOLD email me direct: markmeftah@yahoo.com Ladies size XL 2nd generation First Gear Kilimanjaro, gently used, no damage, never down, minor fading on the "yellow" from the sun, w / stand alone fleece liner, a very nice jacket. Looks better in person than in the pictures as the flash dulls the yellow quite a bit. CE soft armor in back, shoulders, elbows. Double zipper. Multiple pockets inside and out, R chest pocket is hydration compatible (allegedly, she's never used it). Arm, chest, back venting. Still fairly waterproof. All velcro and snaps are tip top. My wife lost some weight so she's getting new gear. For comparison, she has a 32" waist, 34" chest, 34" arms, and is 5'11"; and this is just big enough on her to be baggy. We figure the fit on this is the same as a men's Medium, but the zipper is reversed. Otherwise, no outward indicator that it is a ladies jacket. New price - $45 shipped Con US. Paypal only.

I read the first two pages so if this has already been said then disregard: Ohio cops would prosecute under ORC or city code, not USC. USC has no bearing on carrying a knife, regardless of any 2.5" rule imposed by the USC. The feds aren't going to sweep in and take over some misdemeanor CCW of a knife case from local LE. If you are carrying a concealed knife (or other weapons as identifed by the OP) and you are a piece of shit and are actively breaking the law, it'll probably be a CCW charge. If you are carrying a concealed knife and you are a decent human being, it'll probably not be. Since, as the OP articulated, the law is not clear cut; it leaves room for the officer and prosecutor to have some discretion on the matter.

Edit, never mind

This by chance in Groveport?

Just to clarify, since I think you may have misread, or maybe I misspoke; I don't feel that 50 foot headshots are the norm for self defense engagements, nor could I (doubtfully) make reliable 50 foot head shots under the extreme stress of a active shooting. I do feel that if a guy can stand on the range and hit, every time, a head sized target at 50 feet he is going to be much more efficient at an up close and dynamic confrontation than a guy who can't hit the paper at 25 feet in a static range situation. Point being, your skills don't get better under stress.

Several people have posted that even if armed they are not sure they could have taken a shot in the darkness, with gas swirling around, etc; or felt that their shots would be ineffective due to his body armor. If you are going to carry, you owe it to yourself to carry a quality gun of a fighting caliber in a secure, quality holster. You need to be proficient in the use of that specific gun. If you can't make static head shots at 50 feet with zero misses you'd better not be packing. If you can't reload without looking at the weapon, reload under severe stress, and clear a malfunction without looking, you'd better not be packing. Carry reloads. Carry a small flashlight, even in the daylight... it's useful for all sorts of stuff but especially useful if you have to identify a threat in the dark or engage someone in the dark. Carry a secondary weapon; not necessarially a second gun, but a knife, OC, something to use as a weapon if there is a failure or loss of your gun. I can't say what I would have done in that exact situation, but I can tell you I would have been carrying a Glock 26, 2 spare mags, a knife, and a flashlight; and I'm capable of making static headshots every time with the G26 at 75 feet. I like to think I'd have had the tools, training, and heart to get the job done and put that fucker down. I get tired of contacting CCW guys who are carrying a piece of shit Diamondback in a E-bay $12 holster, no training, no rounds fired through the gun, no spare mags, no secondary weapons or light, shaky legal knowledge (as evidenced by the whole "trespass" discussion here); and who think they they are somehow prepared for a life-or-death confrontation with someone. Every time I leave the house, be it for work or personal stuff, I mentally am gearing up to kill someone, or multiple someones, if I have to. I am secure in my equipment, my training, my legal knowledge, and I have plans in place for various contingencies - including briefing my wife and step-kids on what to do if we encounter extreme violence and I have to go hands on with someone. I don't think that mindset is prevalent enough among the CCW community. It needs to be.

Nice!

I have one and LOVE it. Used, $125. I was expecting it to be a cheap POS that I could throw in my trunk and not really care if it got beat up. It actually turned out to be a very nice piece, well made, well finished; nicely balanced. I ended up liking it way more than my 870 Tactical and actually sold the 870.

He would have been indicted too, but indicting a dead guy serves no real purpose.
-
You do realize his whole family has since been indicted for drug dealing, with strong direct ties to Mexican cartels, his brothers have fled to Mexico to avoid arrest, and pretty much everyone who was once slamming the sheriff's office for "killing a Marine" (Oathkeepers, for example) now recognizes how idiotic their mantra sounds since it has become obvious that he was trying to kill police who were lawfully attempting to conduct a search warrant.
-
So I can't legally walk up to your front door and knock without a warrant?
-
So in your mind knocking on a door constitutes a search, and is illegal for police to do?

I disagree with this statement. There are massive differences betwene the two other than engine type, not the least of which is Kawasaki's absolute shit quality control on their cheaper bikes (like the KLR).
