  1. Not sure on the demand, but way back when, in my stock car circle track days, they had an on site welder. You could pay up front before the racing, like $5 or $10 dollars and if you needed anything welded, the welder guy would do it during the course of the night/ as needed. If you were not in the welding pool, and you needed something welded, it was like $30.
  2. Thanks, since I got a puppy, not much free time or alone time. Still need to get my pinkey finger on my left hand to "get with the program". I can play the first few parts of Rage's " Killing in the Name of" but need to work on the timing / cadence. Neil was classically trained, but then put a rock spin on it.
  3. One aspect I liked about the class, it was not super basic. Brian ( and Jason) has taken other training and took all knowledge and re-packaged it into real, hands on skills for everyday life. The topics discussed, with a group, it was more than just how to shoot, it is the other dynamics around a "threat" The range drills of how to focus and shoot on the move helped me learn that while I and pretty good, standing static at the range, I have some areas to improve while moving. Still not sure my holster selection was the best for my firearm, but glad i had to chance to practice with it, until i can find something else that might work better, at least for me.
  4. Very cool to meet a person that inspired you. I bought a guitar this year and thought i would teach my self to play, then life got in the way. I bought an entry level ESP guitar and amp. I was just starting to learn a few of the drop D songs from the 90's ( rage against the machine) One Cleveland local guy that has hit it big overseas is a guitar player named Neil Zaza. Back in high school. 1988 - 1989, he had a band called Zaza...... my sister's friend was dating him and he was and still is a cool guy.
  5. Damn it!! I got hosed when i took my class!! This option was not on the table when i signed up back in October!!
  6. How are ya? The bike looks great!
  7. They Lived!! ( Subaru comercial ) Totally uncalled for by the driver of the truck. Glad you got away with "slight" damage. This makes me want to get a video camera for my daily drives into work. Seems the video helped you with the officer and any potential future claims by the driver of the truck.

    Proud as heck

Very nice set-up! I have a mix of Snap on, Mac and Matco. Also a few craftsman tools, just because. Now I am off to internet stalk the Wright tool catalog, thanks for the tip on those tools.
  9. Just keep on doing what you are doing. The knowledge, instruction, delivery, pace of the class, topics covered all that equal a great value. I thought I was ok shooter and marksman at the range, butthat all changes under pressure and while moving. Opened my eyes up and "trained my brain" to constantly keep all the elements of the purpose of the class together. With some time and improvement in my skill set execution, I will buy the first VDG franchise.
  10. It was a great class. The conversation about what and why we carry, what we carry reaffirmed that I made a good selection in my firearm. Adam getting "blasted" with pepper spray in the basement was funny. Having a chance to draw, locate the target while moving was an eye opener for me. I have a few areas to improve on. This class is way better then just standing static, punching holes in paper. at the range. The way the range segment was set up, learn a base skill and action, then expand. As the day progressed, each task was built and then an additional task was added. The final round was a combination of all skills and drills added together, and had elements to think about before firing off a round. The Harry Potter "target" was awesome! I learned Kawi isn't the best speller, and math probably isnt taught in coshocton public schools. I would like to learn more about the medical kits you had. Would be nice to have in the car and for the range and while hunting. I will recommend this class to several people and plan to take an additional class with these guys.
  11. Not so much of "F-it" but i never did ever have the big house and fancy cars. No kids, just me and the wife, and the dog. Living modest, but having fun traveling and making memories. Never really bought "big ticket" items, but after my dad's passing, and watching him not really enjoying his earnings, made me realize life is short, so why not enjoy it? So, maybe i am going the wrong way. but just starting to really enjoy life now. I work at the same place a few members on this board do, and work can be a shithole at times, but there is no other place i can earn what i earn at this time.
  12. i never did pick up that Horton Brotherhood bow and now Horton is out of business. No muzzleloader yet. I will probably get a CVA of some sort after the season.
  13. wow, you am be a youngin'. So we are still on for Oct 18th ( minus Larry, I mean Speedy?)
  14. some of us already have 20 years
  15. Some of us already have 4 weeks of va-ca
  16. So sorry to hear. We lost our dog of 17 years in May 2013. Took us until Aug 2014 to get our hearts open to another dog. We adapted a 6 month old Husky. it always hurts when they leave us, but I would not change the time we shared.
  17. Speedy, i know where you work, tough getting a single day off.
  18. Speedy, take that friday night off and ride down with me!!
  19. Congrats on the season. Just a few points between P1 and P2, close!
  20. I still have the factory pipes and air box from my 1982 GS 850. Right after I bought the bike, I installed pod filters, rejetted the carbs and a 4 into 1 pipe. so the factory stuff has been "laying around" for 18 years.
  21. I am still open for the Oct 18th, but would end up solo. Sorry Speedy
  22. I heard on National Public Radio a segment about http://www.alibaba.com site. It is a business to business site "overseas" for mostly electronic companies. Background I was looking on line for a service or tool rental for camera to inspect my drain tiles around my house. I suspect one of the clay tiles is either cracked or clogged. There were a few websites that show how to make your own inspection camera setup using a waterproof USB camera and drain rods. Should cost about $50 to $70 (way cheaper then renting or having a service call ) to build your own camera setup if buying off of amazon. Then, assuming the camera survives the trip down the drain pipes, I am thinking i could use the camera for engine inspection down a sparkplug hole. Back to the alibaba site, USB cameras with 30 to 50 feet of cable are about $2 - 5 direct from manufacture. Some have a minimum order,Some dont. So going the super cheap route, I could buy a few cameras direct, but never dealt with any of the companies on the site. I realize saving $15 bucks might not be worth the risk of buying overseas, but just curious. Or, if anyone in the north east ohio area has a drain inspection camera, let me know Thoughts?
