All Seasons is top notch! Steve is a straight shooter and they have the best service department of any shop around. They are top rated for BMW service in the country. I wish Sean kaylor was still there... He would let you test ride any bike in the place! The gun shop right next to the parts department is icing on the cake.
The first three groups were very good other than an off in fast. But the organization was good and the groups were 8-10 people. The real obsticol will be getting medium and slow organized (this is where the cluster was). We need enough leads and sweeps to keep the group size down in medium and slow. Do not let the total size of the event scare you, as long as we keep good group size, everything will be fine.
+1 We are going to be ok! Myself, Wolfman1 and Derek will be on the ground to help get people in the correct groups and welcome anyone else who would like to help organize groups as riders arrive. I am going to print color maps with mileage reference at turns and stop points to help those that may lead, but are not as versed with the roads and geographic land marks on the route. The route and mileage reference points will be PDF'd and linked in the first post of this thread so it can be downloaded and studied by current and possible leads/sweeps.
To conserve weight and make the engine as slim as possible, manufactures use less material for the valve covers. Also, there is no hood and no sound insulation separating your ears from the mechanical sounds of the engine. If you think that Honda is loud, do not purchase a Kawasaki...lol
Bearing. It may not look a mess, but after wheel is off spin each bearing by hand and feel for notchyness or inner race movement. Have you ever used a power washer to clean the bike? This can force moister in places it would not normally go.
No fuel stop, but there is an exit at 668 and I70. I will satalite view to see if there is a meet point close. 9:00 to 9:30 would me my guess for time we are rolling through.
Agree with both! We should stop at the original stop to asses riders and allow those that want to stay back with slower group can. If you need gas have at it. We could also stop in mcconnelsville for gas and rest. The key to this is leaving sufficient room between groups so there is little to know overlap. Leaders will need to keep the stop time on schedule and get out before the next group arrives. Derek we can discuss timing and a plan then post for approval.
