  1. South of Loudonville east of Danville. Eric from ADV took the pictures. 145 miles just over 6 hours with a hour lunch stop in New Castle.
  2. The guy from ADV rider that rode with me today took these pictures. It was a good day of riding. Heated jacket liner took care of the cold and new Trackmaster tires took care of the snow and mud. I will post on here the next time we ride or keep a eye on the ohio thread on ADV rider.
  3. My boys love the Cliff. BriarcliffMX They have a kids track, C track and a A track. Plus a woods loop.
  4. WR. Sounds like we might have some snow to play in. Going to try and get my new tires on today.
  5. Sundays work better for me. There are a couple guys from ADV rider and I meeting in Danville at 10 this sunday. Sounds like it might be a little cool in the morning. You guys can join in if you want. Meeting at the Lions Den BP.
  6. I live in Loudonville and ride a WR250R I can show you guys some fun gravel/dirt roads just south of here. If anyone is interested let me know. Alan
  7. Nice saw. Stihls are great saws. I have been heating my house 90% with wood for the last 7 winters cutting all the wood with a MS270 that I bought new. It has cut a ton of wood and is on its 3rd bar. It still runs great. My boy started cutting last fall with my MS180 and I wanted a saw with more power so I gave him the 270 and I bought a MS362. Right after I bought it the weather turned to crap and have not got to use it. This spring its going to get a good work out the wood supply is taking a real hit this winter.
  8. After u clean the pins that the caliper slides on and clean the pins that hold the pads put the new pads on and go for a short ride hit the brakes a few times then after a little riding stop with the front brakes and see if the rear rotor is still hot. If so the pads are draging and making the rotor hot.
  9. Make sure the caliper is floating and not sticking that is hard on the pads and your rotor. I had the bright idea one time to make my own pads out of a set of car pads. I cut and ground and drilled on those things for a few hours until I had a good looking set of pads that I thought would last forever on the rear of my Warrior they lasted one day. Live and learn I guess. My Z400 was hard on rear pads also. I tried to use the front brakes as much as I could.
  10. Pluged air filter or exhaust? Maybe a mouse is living is in your air box?
  11. State Farm does not cover gear. ( pants and jacket ) they do cover your helmet. I found that out the hard way after having all my gear cut off after my crash last summer. I tried real hard to get them to cover it but they would not. Other then that real happy with state farm and the way they handled getting my bike fixed.
  12. Matt (pictured ) and I did 200 miles last Sunday. I have a heated jacket liner and heated grips. Matt doesn't have any heated gear. The heated jacket makes riding in the cold much better. I broke my leg in August and missed most of the fall riding so I bought the jacket so I could ride when it was cold out before I had to go back to work. No dust and no bugs last Sunday. A little grit on the slab is not a problem after riding on snow/ice covered road. The WR250R is a great winter bike and makes winter go by so much faster being able to get out and ride. One from a few years ago on the KLR250
  13. I have been heating with wood for the past 7 years the last 2 years its been about 90% wood since I ran out of fuel oil. We use the Eden Pure when its real cold out or if the fire goes out. Heating with wood is a pain in the ass. Its dirty, its a ton of work and you have to be a slave to it all winter. I have to put wood in the fire every 4 hours. Sure you can put more wood in or turn the draft down and get more heat or longer burn times but it makes the most heat and uses the least wood to put wood in every 4 hours. So that means getting out of bed at 2am going to the basment and putting wood in all winter long. Planing work and going away on weekeds around that 4 hour burn time. I have the great set up with the dirt and mess in a basment with a walk out door but you still have to bring wood in everyday. Then theres the cutting the wood, hauling the wood, spliting the wood, stacking the wood, keeping the wood covered all year and then cleaning up in the yard in spring outside from mess. I keep burning wood because I like to save money and I already have the saws, truck, trailer, spliter, wood stove and the kids to help do it. If I had to do it over I would do like most people and just pay for the fuel oil.
  14. I had a 03 z400 that I thought I would never sell. Had a blast on that thing. The problem was after about 4 summers of riding it every other weekend I was board with it. Traded it for a DR650 and never looked back. Bought a WR250R last year and love it. There is so much more riding to do when you can ride on and off road. I live in Loudonville and we had to haul the quads 100 miles to ride any place fun. With the WR I can be on gravel roads 2 miles from my house. I put a lot more seat time on the bike then I ever could on the quad. I do miss it in the snow.
  15. Muck boots. Bought my son a pair 3 or 4 years ago. He beat the crap out of them and they held up great. Just bought him a new pair for xmas only because he out grew the first pair. I have a pair a bought 2 years ago and they are great. Bought the last pair at a Amish boot shop north of Danville on St. Rt. 205 best price I could find.

  18. There are no more $100 go carts all the old ones are junk and the new ones are way over priced. If you do find a old one the brakes always suck, the gearing is way off. If you put a big sprocket on the rear to gear it down then its digging in the dirt and with a small sprocket you have no power and a 50mph cart with NO brakes. Old carts are one wheel drive so dad is changing tires all the time. My son got one day out of a new tire a few years ago. Sure he had fun but I had to buy and change tires all the time. If you buy a go cart buy a wire welder to go with it frames are also junk. The other problem is unless u have some one to race with its just like riding the lawn mower around the yard after the first week or so. Dirt bikes you can take places and ride on tracks maybe learn to jump or do some wheelies. I still have 2 old carts both still run but I dont care if the boys ( 15, 6, and 5 years old) ever ride them again we we are sticking with 2 wheels.
  19. I was going to say CRF50 or KLX110. Both are tough as nails and have lots of upgrades to keep the kids happy as they grow. My 6 year old rides a CRF50 and my 15 year old still plays around on a 110. I think I bought him the 110 when he was 8. I did the go carts and the china atv thing it was a pain. Work on them for 2 hours and the kids ride for one hour. I live in Loudonville if you want to check out some little bikes PM me. Alan
  20. You guys missed a great day of riding today if you didnt ride. 250+ miles for me. Loudonville to West Virgina and home the long way.
  21. They are working on the side of the road by the river. The road was fine. I was going north and got around the first signs fine the next one I had to go in the ditch. Some guy was out in his yard as I came out of the ditch he gave me the tumbs up.
  22. 60s not closed if you have the right bike. I was going to stop and take a picture of my bike under the track hoe arm yesterday. I Had the road all to myself.
