You could eat them from the pond. I just catch and release though.

Got home last night and threw the line in the water. I could see schooling bass on the beds, about 6 of them. They were mostly around 10” and one that was over 12”. I was throwing a storm 360 swim bait, chartreuse. Bam! Instant fish on. And then three more on. Ok, this is fun. Started working the pond and caught about ten. Was able to see a lot of fish and probably the best population and size that I have had in the pond. Seeing fish big enough to spawn and a good population of them, gives me good hope for getting the pond how I want it.

These matches sound fun. I have not done one. Everyone I have shot with that does these says the same thing though. Competition is fun. It's time consuming and money consuming. There is always another piece of gear you want to get. You chase your ranking in a group and in the end, you are good among other people that are good too. But, it's fun.

For the most part, when you live in Columbus, the box stores are likely going to be your cheapest and most convenient. I'd head to Home Depot or Lowes, and tractor supply if there is one. If you want a drive and find a grain store or mill near you, that's where I would go.

We sold my Dad's a house in Vermont last year after he passed away. There was no capital gains tax. Vermont taxed me on the sale because I was not a state resident and my attorney up there said I would get all the money back, after VT reviewed my name in their system and saw I didn't owe for back taxes. Attorney says I just file VT taxes this year. I have always done my taxes and am not finding how I can file this form or for VT taxes. I took it to H&R Block and they wanted to charge me $380, AND didn't know how to file this form and get my tax money in VT. CR, who knows how to get this done? Thanks.

How much are you willing to spend?Have you considered 10 days of training? It's about the same cost as boarding at a good place and your dog learns.

Since photobucket said fuckit, I do vids now. House will be for sale Spring of 2023. 4 bedrooms, three bath, master and in-law suites, 15k back up generator, 3 acres with 1 acre stocked pond, and rifle and pistol range. 20 minutes from Columbus.

Good looking work set ups here. Funny hoe this thread is getting all the feedback that was wanted from the man cave garage thread, before it went into detail about a computer build.

Food for thought. How bad do you want to sell the gun? It has to be a deal, or people are just going to buy new. Selling a gun at cost will likely bring to you the people that aren’t allowed to own guns. That’s not the CR crowd, 99.999%. Gun shops are only going to give you $105-$125 for it. So if you’re looking to move it, I’d say $150 is a steal and $175 is a deal for you and them. Your gun. GLWS.

Need to see it mounted. Pretty common use mount.

Brian’s going to lose his shit with sneaker race break downs. Age groups, distance, track shoes, high tops, flip flops, barefoot........
-
I’m in on some sneaker action. I got nothing to lose. If you win, you beat a guy in his 40s in a foot race. If you lose, ......... I mean how damn slow are you?

https://palmettostatearmory.com/smith-wesson-m-p-shieldtm-9mm.html $249 and then pay a local $40 ffa fee for transfer and you are under $300.

I would say shields have a non-gender bias application.

I've heard the 2.0 is lighter with more grip and a better trigger. But that's not saying there was an issue with the old trigger. It is long time common for many people to go to an Apex trigger with all MP pistols. I've done it twice, but really never noticed any difference. That said, most people do it. I can't justify the Shield in a .40, but that's my personal opinion. I think in 9mm it is a great option for the price and functionality. I got a stupid deal on G43, or I may have gone with a Shield in 9mm. Only other gun I would look at is about $500, and that is the Sig 365. I have not handled one yet, but I like the concept and the 10 round ability. I did hear there was something people were having an issue with, but I forget what it was and wasn't a serious buyer and brushed it off. It's a Sig and I'm not too surprised if there is an issue, but sure they will fix it.

Looks amazing so far. Congrats. If you would like, PM me where you live and I could stop out and talk to you about things. One good thing I see is a step grass edge into the pond. That will frustrate geese and may be enough to keep them away. Ducks are friends, geese gotta go. Also, Blue Heron's don't like a step edge. Depending on the water depth at the edge, this could deter them from liking your pond too. Shooting a Heron is a $1000 fine and 6 months in jail, but when they are eating all your stocked fish, you start to consider it.

The G1s have been sold as low as $239 from what I’ve seen. The improvements made on the G2’s are good improvements. But, I would say that the price that you’re seeing on the G1 is simply trying to get rid of the old stock. I wouldn’t hesitate from buying one, but I would certainly be looking at under $250.

David Goggins will do it, for the right price.

Do it man. I’m telling you it feels great. Sounds like you are in a good spot. Feed your family real food and be healthy. Last year I got people together and we spent the day grilling and telling stories and catching up. We blew up a shit ton of fireworks and it was an awesome time. Fireworks are literally burning money. All week people messaged me about how fun it was and they loved the fireworks. Some of the people hadn’t seen each other in a few years. It felt great to get everyone together. That’s what living is about to me. I don’t want to look back and wish I had done more. Good luck.

Are the bills paid and a retirement plan in place? Another thing to think about is, how old are you. For me, I'm 44 and $50k isn't going to do much on the investment side without what I would feel to be high risk, in order for a change in my financial situation. Going through some life seasons last year, don't overlook living and creating smiles. I push all I can through my work, so I can take time to be with the people I care about and enjoy things with them. If that's a trip, we are going. When my Father passed away last year, it was before I could take him on a big fishing trip. I lost making that memory. Don't spoil your kids with wasted places like Disney, but find what the family likes, get rid of the phones and do it. Someone once shared an outlook with me that I hold now. If your kids are 12 years old, you only have 6 more Summers with them before they become too busy. If your parents are older, say 65, and you only visit them twice a year, and given the average of 78 years old being what people live to, you only have 26 more visits with them. Don't blow the money, but be interested in investing in memories and use some $ as needed. My .02. Pun intended

https://www.atac.cc/contact-us/ There are other places with better looking websites, but these guys have had the best pricing and their fish transport and live well once they get to mynpond. And, they often give me extra. Jones fish is ok, but their pricing is pretty high. Fender fish hatchery is nice too. Steve is the owner and will likely be the one to deliver the fish. I order some fish from him now and then. There is good info on his site. http://fendersfishhatchery.com I spend a good bit on minnows for forging. I’m on their stocking plan, which is 50lbs a year, split into fall and spring. Comes out to $7.xx a pound, or like $400 for the year. I have a creek at the edge of my property. 2 years ago I started minnow trapping there. I love it when it rains now. I’ll get 50-200 big creek chubs to throw in the pond. Sometimes bluegill, frogs and crawfish too. Of course your common minnow is in there too. I do all I can to add food to the habitat. There is on minnow I look out for that is spotted. I think it’s called a dart. I don’t put those in there. Read they can be a breeding problem or something. I get catfish in the traps too. I don’t put catfish in my pond anymore and pulled the ones I had out. They eat everything and take away from my bass food and population. If you’re stocking fish, big cats are eating your money before those fish can grow big enough to not be eaten. Any bass over 12” to buy and stock is going to be $5-7 a pound. That adds up quick and anything smaller than that will be eaten by catfish. Even at 12”, big cats eat them. I bought a boat last year and plan to catch my own stocking plan other than the forging.

I’ll be on Hoover after the big blues in there this year. Hope to see pics from people’s catches this year.

I just pm’d you about aeration. I was at the show Friday and Sunday. There were some good deals to be had there. This was the first year I’ve had several venders know my as a customer. That might be a bad thing. It was great to catch up with them though. Good to hear you are doing some stocking. I moved away from hybrid BG and have been pushing regular BG. They spawn more often, four times a year, and that means more for for the bass to grow. Perish are going to spawn around March, if the bass didn’t eat them over the Winter. Keep an eye out for them to see how they did. Try to get some minnows in there when the weather breaks, for that Sring forging.
