  2. From Parking lot to Passing lane, done.
  3. That has to be a neat catch. Cool fish, and thanks for posting pics.

How long will he be doing PT? After my dad was hospitalized for three week, he had to go to a PT home near the James. Once he was there a few days, I had to remind him he is there to train his body. And, to stop being a whiny bitch to the staff who is there trying to help him push a little. He said that helped him, me telling him that. He later told me he was just being a grouch and didn't know why he was fighting trying to progress. I can see Anthony being grouchy though this too. Just FYI.
  5. Things change, and they could change again or even change back. It's good to hear that you get out there with him. And good for him for being actively involved in something. Sitting at home is common for so many able bodied people these days.
  6. I've been consumed with something relatively new since July of last year, and that is boating. Fished Canada for two trips last year and after the second one with 12 days on the water, I came home and bought a boat. I know Derek gets after the fish, I've teamed up with him a few times and he has been a huge source for info and help. Wondering who else on CR is focused on hitting the water to fish? Not sure if Chris is still doing tournaments for Ardent? Would be interested in hearing how people are doing on the water and what you are fishing for. Post pics if you have them.

Happy to read he is doing better this morning. Looking forward to hearing more progress.
  8. I started going to Canada a couple years ago for a family fishing trip. It’s the thing I look forward to the most through the year. Bought a boat, and love the feeling of chasing Muskies and being on the water. I hunt through the winter and take the side by side on the trails when we have time to link up with other people to ride.
  9. I am bored with many of the things that I used to do. Not to say I became an expert with them, but I got to a point where I was pretty good. Didn’t wanna invest any more money or time to take things to the next level. Some close friends on here know how occupied I am with my work, so free time to be able to enjoy some of these things simply hasn’t been an option. It’s not a matter of making time. However, for the downtime that I do get, there are other things that are a priority or that I enjoy doing more so then messing with the things that I’ve mentioned. I went out to my range the other day and took a few shots at a steel plate that was probably 60 m away. I had it two out of the three times, unloaded the gun and went back inside. I was satisfied. I guess most of this is just coming down to be sorting out how to justify what I do spend time doing. What can still hold my interest, and what I need to move on from.
  10. Quite frankly, the few times I drive the FD and get into boost, the damn thing is viscous. I feel like I’m going to jail immediately. It’s fucking loud! It just pulls and wants more. I pulled through two gears passing a couple cars last week, and felt like I should have apologized to them. Its not the fastest car out there, but is is plenty of power for fun. I didn’t mean this thread specifically just on the FD. There’s several projects I’ve got into, and I just feel like a soon as I get done I don’t wanna mess with that anymore. For instance, last year I put together a rifle to shoot 1200 maybe 1500 meters. As soon as I got all the parts on it and put it together, I shot it a couple times I just put it away and never touch it. I wanted to shot a few competitions, but again I just don’t have the time.
  11. Voice to text beat me up on that. Maybe you too.
  12. I don’t know who yi7 is, But there are no gremlins at all with the card work out. It’s never had any suspension issues. I was training this weekend so that’s why I wouldn’t of been able to go. Drove the car to work last week but about 280 miles on it.
  13. The RX7 was built with road course and Auto Cross in mind. The key factor with not much interest with the car the last few years, has simply been lack of time to do events like that. Even cars and coffee has been something that I’ve only been able to get you once maybe twice a year.
  14. I find myself getting into projects and completing them, only to not have much interest in them. Maybe I do it to see if I can do it. Half of me justifies the disinterest as being ok with downsizing on things I don't need. The other half is that I don't have time to mess with the things I have. For instance, I've driven the RX7 less than 2000 miles since 2012. I'm not as interested in it like I use to be, but there's nothing to work on, so that may be part of it. Anyone else run into this?
  15. I'm thinning down my projects and hate wires. I have a double din that I want in the RX7. Columbus car audio wants $200 to install it and they won't guarantee the install because I did not buy the radio from them. I don't need a lifetime warranty, just someone who knows what they are doing and I will help. I'll pay you and feed you. I have all the tools. I just ask that you do all the part inquiries and I'll pay for them. Then we do the install in my shop. I don't have to me to run around and drop the car off. No XM install, no backup camera, just hooking up to an existing amp with subs. Looking to knock this out next weekend or the following weekend on Sunday afternoon. Let me know if you're interested.
  16. So who do you know? We got lucky that a cousin knows how to do roofing. Went to Manards and after doing 5 measurements to be sure we were correct, ordered with them. We have a 2200sqft ranch that has a few odd angles. The complete roof, screws and everything, cost $4800 delivered. There were some challenges, but easily overcome. We gifted the family crew a few hundred bucks each and we ate very well that day. Saved over $10k doing it this way, but would never ask them to do another one. Made for a long weekend. I'm still buying beers to thank them.

The James is full of great people. Glad he’s getting the care needed.
  19. Former US Vice President Joe Biden has announced 2020 Democratic presidential run. Annnnd, GO.
  20. I take a bit to Canada and MPG were a big factor for what truck I bought. Also didn’t want to go diesel because it sometimes runs out where we go in Canada. Dodge is really stepping up their game for infotainment. I don’t know if they have fixed the mechanical issues that I always heard about. The 2.7 and the 3.5 EB, along with the trim options just made Ford easier for me to make my choice.
  21. One person has a bad experience, and you tell the world and the world listens. Twenty people have a good or great experience and they tell the world, only to be scoffed as not having a bad enough experience to appeal to what people want to hear.
  22. I sold my 8.1l Silverado and bought a 2018 3.5 EB. 16,000 miles so far, and no issues. 22mpg highway and 17mpg in the city. Towing my trailer with my side by side through the Smokey’s, I got 12-14 mpg. Towing the boat a bit this weekend for the first time, so we will see. I have followed a bunch of pages and have not run into big mechanical issues. Some people have had their doors stop latching, but it has been covered by ford.
  23. Great to hear the kids fishing stories. This time of year I usually have 25lbs of forging minnow added to the pond. It runs about $200 delivered. Last year I set up a series of minnow traps in the creek at the back of our property. I pull in quite a few minnows now. I have canceled my minnow order at this point. When it rains like this, it's easy for me to fill a gallon pal with huge creek chubs, crayfish, minnows, blue gill, and tadpoles. I screen the fish before adding them because I get catfish in the traps too, and don't want those in the pond.
