    CCW Class?

I am still teaching. Have a class Jan 11.
  3. In first 30 seconds, fat chick and 740 necklace. OH..... And, then it's hosted right here. Damn, I can't make it through this whole thing.
  4. Here's what you do. Have Robin change her name to "Karen and tell her to cut her hair short. Send her in there to talk to the manager. Make sure she has a Starbuck drink in hand.
  5. Embedding change from the equal sign?
  6. Couple of things that have me thinking. I like that functionality is the focus. It's ugly. I don't like the power comparison with it pulling a F150 that is not the same class of truck. Needs to be a F250 or F350. Pricepoint of $39k is ok for F150 comparison though. The $39k Cyber truck is the poverty version, what are the specs of it vs the maxed out version? This truck will influence the functionality and pricing for future trucks from all companies. My .02.
  7. I’m assuming you are saying cheapest FFL to have a gun shipped to. Most places are $40. I have one place that does it for $25 for military, but I’d rather pay the $40 to someplace closer to me. Where ever you might be shipping to, call them and see if they can get the same thing and beat the price. I shipped my Bergera to Aim Hi and they were pretty excited to see it and couldn’t come close to the price I got it for. Made good conversation for another purchase I made there.
  8. I really appreciate all the comments from everyone. The car is posted on almost all the RX7 pages on FB. Many compliments on the car. I understand it’s a unique buyer for this car. The amount of space in extra RX7 stuff it will free up in the shop will be nice. Extra trans, jugs of methanol, books, spare piping and couplers, boxes from electronics installed, it just doesn't seem to end.
  9. Bring your truck and I can probably fill the back from trees I have dropped.
  10. Not looking for another car in the stable. Thanks though.
  11. Thanks for the kind words. Every time I look at pictures of it, I smile at how good it looks. So hard it get a unique look without going overboard with the FD’s. Thanks for fixing the video Brian.
  12. So here it is CR. Time for someone else to enjoy this car. Ohio loves the FD, but beats up its value. I don't expect the car to sell locally, but will share the for sale post here. CR price is $29,500. The car will come will a lot of extra stuff, to include 2 gallons of methanol. February of 2019 Complete detail of car, in and out, September of 2019. Why I’m selling. I’ve had the car since 2005 when it was bone stock. My intent was to take the car to track days on road courses. With my work schedule, I never made it to do a track day with the car. So, the car has been a fun weekend driver and out to some car shows. You will get leg humped whenever you stop at a gas station. For many, this is their dream car, whether they are 16 or 60 years old. The build has been fun, but my time is spent fishing and hunting now. I only drove the car about 600 miles in the last 3 years. It’s time for someone else to enjoy this car. I really like that the car is able to have a mild lobbing sound until you get into boost. Then, there is no mistaking this rotary motor wants to party. Loud, well you could say that. It’s a ported rotary that wants all the RPM’s. The handling on this car is all you would want from an RX-7, tight and stable. There's too much to list all that is done to this car. Car has a full tank of gas, and was professionally detailed in September of 2019. It's ready to go. No trades. No tire kickers or joy rides. NO BROKER SALES.
  13. Be sure to check in the building materials section of Menards. We did our steel roof through them and they had plans for everything. They do garages and pole barns too. To have someone do our roof was between $15k and $30k for a 2190sqft ranch. We did it for $4800 with Menards planning, it includes everything you’ll need for your build, down to how many screws. Their out buildings are the same process at the roof we did.
  14. My shop is 26x40, wood frame with metal roof and siding. The ceiling is insulated and the walls are too. All this was done by the previous owners. They used rolled insulation on the walls and covered it with partial board, then painted it. Overall, it’s fine. I have a 80,000btu mounted heater in there and that is plenty in the winter. Go as big as you can afford. Can never have too much room.
  15. Sean, this would be a nice car for you.
  16. Thanks, Brian. There’s quite a bit going on with the electronics in the car. A yellow top allows extra terminals to connect to and is a great battery. It’s not lead based, so it doesn’t matter how you mount it. The car had the gasket on the oil pan replaced today. There was a leak that has been resolved. There’s a for sale vid and a few more pics being edited that I hope to have completed after this weekend.

    CR, then and now.

I have seen in the last year that several of your posts have been extremely helpful. That’s the interaction I remember From CR as members. After having a chance to reply to Howard above, I went into my private messages and sent you a private message. My private message I sent you was to basically to let bygones be bygones and hope we both move forward. Then, I refresh the page to see that you’re still stuck in the same place. Being entrusted to help on this forum is something I do with care and regard for the person and CR. After our exchange this morning, your situation was still on my mind. The reality is is that you reported a post complaining about how somebody spoke to you in a thread. And yet you continue to badger people with your comments and overbearing approach in nearly every thread you enter. You are a wealth of knowledge that comes with an expensive price of dealing with your attitude. Me creating this thread was in hopes of helping CR as a whole. I hoped the person you reported would see it, as well as you and hopefully others being able to reflect on how they’ve conducted themselves here. As I said, I myself have been involved in argumentative post here. You don’t have to like what other people post and if you don’t like what they post about you, take it up with them. Arguing here is a waste of time. I don’t have that amount of time. To be realistic, is anyone here willing to fight each other physically over what someone posted here? The 95% answer to that is no. So none of this really matters and turns in to terrible bickering back-and-forth. That’s not something I’m able to rationalize. As I said in the PM Kerry I hope things are well with you.

    CR, then and now.

I do wish dueling were still an option in today’s world. Actions need to have consequences.

    CR, then and now.

That was taken care of this week. Car goes to Tim next week.
  20. CR has a long history of having members who post aggressive, insulting and belligerent comments. While the site is not as young as it once was, and the posts not as frequent as they once were, some of that still remains. It was a point of pride for many members here to be able to destroy somebody online. I myself, felt at times I was a bit gifted at being able to prove someone wrong or mock them for their way of thinking or doing things. The turning point for me was actually getting a history lesson. I’ll summarize it and share it with you, and maybe some of you can reflect. Abraham Lincoln was challenge to a duel by James Shields. Lincoln had written several very strong articles that were published in the local paper under the pen name of Jeff and Rebecca. These articles attacked Shields, even to say that he didn’t do well with the ladies. To save face, Shields challenge Lincoln to a duel. I won’t go into the details of the duel, but they’re worth looking into, as Lincoln was clever in how he said it would go down. Just as the dual was supposed to happen, a General intervened and said that it was not to happen. The two men agreed and went on their way. It’s worth noting that at that time, Lincoln was a young and talented attorney coming up in the political world. The impact of the challenge to a duel ended up being a lifelong lesson for Lincoln. He knew he was a talented writer, a tremendous human being at 6‘4“ tall and extremely strong for his time and age. But, what he had never realized was the strength of his words. He had written about a man in a manner to upset him so much, that that man was willing to die or kill for those words. After that incident, Lincoln never wrote or spoke in a derogatory or ill mannered way about another person. In Lincolns day, things were certainly tougher than what we experience in today’s world. My thought is if Lincoln can have the outlook in those days to realize it’s not worth it don’t argue with someone or say demeaning things about them, that maybe in today’s day, we can be thoughtful enough to see a bigger picture to approaching a conflict. It certainly was not a matter of Lincoln being weak. He decided to use the strength of his mind and his actions to change how he was. Some people conduct themselves like they have something to prove, I myself am guilty of that at times. Maybe CR can just keep in mind that we’re all here because we are car enthusiasts. If you truly do have something you feel you want to voice about a member on this board, be good enough to just send them a PM let them know you think they’re a piece of shit and the two of you can address it from there. I think CR has the shared opinion of attacks in threads on an individual being counterproductive to the discussion of the thread. If we would get away from the feeding the ego of person firing shots at the other person that may also lend to better discussion. This is simply my .02. Someone can make change with it if they like.

    Suicide..

I'm no expert, but I've been around it a bit now. Best friend in high school tried kill himself. Then, he did every drug and drank all he could for 15 years, and I think he was in self destruct mode. His family said he cleaned up, and had a heart attack a year later. I know he had tried to kill himself a couple times. I think he did in the end. One of our guys after deployment, the funny guy, killed himself a year after we were home. Last month a guy I work with took his life. Life has stacked up on me many times. I think it has for everyone. All the cliche', " tomorrow's a better day", it's true. Time heals, but you need to take the time to heal, and I don't think some people do that. Last year I went to six funerals. Four for cancer, one for blood clot and one for a car accident. Here's what I have to say about death. It's going to happen. When my dad passed away, what I realized was that he sat in his living room for 25 years, by himself in a house in Vermont. We brought him to Ohio for treatment and he hated it here. He missed his way of life and VT. They said he was better, so we brought him home and had daily check ins with him. Four months later he passed away. The cancer had come back and was too aggressive to fight. I learned a lot last year. Live life and do what you need to to feel alive. If that means snorting a pound of coke and shoving bottle rockets up your ass, best of luck to you. Be the best person you can to help the people around you. Not everyone needs your help or wants your help. If it's not hurting others, for the most part, do your thing. I decided I'm not going to look back and say "I wish I had......". Many people are chasing their happiness. I can't explain the calm and clarity I have felt this last year. I celebrate life. I have mourned these people not being here with me anymore. I was mad at my friend for all the drugs and drinking and likely taking his own life. For three years I tried to sort out all the things surrounding him. He lived his life. He chose. I tried to help manys times. we have great memories, and those are the stories I will share with his family. My outlook now is to go make smiles and memories. I'm going to live and enjoy and I want those around me to be happy too.
  22. You can store them at my house and I'll watch them dry rot until mine wear out.
  23. Those are looking great.
