  1. You can have it, I don't know if it's leaded or not.
  2. I picked up some VP Racing barrels from Michael Shank Racing that have 100 octane e10 left in them for a project. I don't need the fuel that's left in them and would hate for it to go to waste. I wanted to see if anybody on CR could use the fuel before I offer it to the unwashed masses of Facebook. You will need to come to my house to get the fuel and have containers for it. I'm guessing between all of the barrels there's maybe 20-ish gallons left. Need this stuff gone ASAP and I might try to condense it down to one barrel for now if I can get it into one.
  3. Vortech is trying to get back heavier into the racing market so they're pushing new stuff out. No intercooler because it's running M1. We (Dragzine/CEO) just picked up a new "project" car that was moved from race gas to M1. Making that switch let us remove all the intercooler stuff and the weight that went along with it.
  4. Some spots yes, other spots no.
  5. When I first saw this car at Outlaw Armageddon I did a double take to see what it was. Even then I was wrong and thought it was an old Buick. Crank-driven blower cars like this just sound evil... https://www.dragzine.com/features/car-features/malicious-intent-richie-blubaughs-supercharged-1952-ford-mainline/
  6. Really like my M&P handguns, best feel for me. Most fun to shoot rifle wise is my AK, it's loud, mechanical, and makes me giggle.
  7. In my opinion, it's still a Mini Cooper. The car has all the original glass, only body mod made was for the wheel tubs, still has the vin tag, still is stock wheelbase. It's pretty much like a 1969 Camaro race car with how it was built.
  8. I remember when this car came out I wanted to do a story but was never in the right place at the right time. Super cool guy and the car is very well built. https://www.dragzine.com/features/the-mighty-mini-ken-hebert-jr-s-2011-mini-cooper-clubman-s/
  9. CR has changed for the better. If this post was made 10 years ago it would have been at least 9 pages long, in the kitchen, and filled with inappropriate things.
  10. My wife is a CNN addict and loves anti-trump porn, so I hear and see all the stupid stuff he says all the time. She reads his tweets and this other trash and looks at me like I'm supposed to get mad, and then asks, "well what do you think" like I'm going to defend him. I finally told her that I really don't care what he said, the man is a fucking idiot.
  11. I see guys laying down on the track surface to get low angle shots and it makes me cringe. I stay as mobile as possible, or I'm at a point along the wall where I can just get down if a car goes air born. Another example is in drag racing where guys go to do parachute shots at the top end. Seems safe right? Well, depending on the track if the car gets a little wide that parachute basket will come bouncing along and can go over the wall. I saw this happen first hand at Bowling Green last year and after that I took a solid 2 steps off the wall to shoot at the top end and go farther down where these cars aren't moving at terminal velocity. It's breathtaking and terrifying all at the same time to be close to the track when something goes screaming by at 250 mph then you see a high speed crash and realize how quickly things can go bad and you have no time to react.
  12. Looking at this from the standpoint of a person who shoots races for a living I don't know if I would feel comfortable shooting from there. Being on the outside of a high-speed turn or what could be a high-speed turn is asking for trouble. It doesn't matter what race I'm shooting I always make sure I'm not in a kill box and have a way to escape danger. Being right there you don't have a whole lot of options if the worst-case scenario happens, and it did. The problem with a lot of guys I shoot with is they get very complacent, personally, I try not to be and sometimes you need a good scare to remind you bad things can happen.
  13. The NIMBY types helped kill the track and they continue to kill others across the nation. There are so many different factors in play that are helping to slowly kill motorsports and hot rodding in this country. I love what I do but I'm already planning the next stage of my career when I have to jump off this sinking boat.
  14. Taught my nephew how to say "suck it" and do the DX crotch chop. My sister loved that
  15. I raced nitro and electric RC cars for years. Nitro just gives you that "experience" with the sound, the fumes and so on. Electric, on the other hand, was just pure, raw, and sometimes angry power on demand. With how hard the EPA is finger banging the aftermarket industry every chance they get, especially on the tuning side, look for electric to start being forced down our throats more and more. The irony is all these people want electric cars, but we don't have the infrastructure as a country to support it.
  16. Very interesting to see this from GM. https://www.dragzine.com/news/chevrolet-unveils-electric-powered-ecopo-camaro-race-car-concept/
  17. This thing is just naughty....
  18. NICE! This is some good info. I will have to look into some of this stuff for sure.
  19. Let's talk bench grinders. I'm going to need something that is better than your typical HF unit for sure since I'm going to be doing a lot of metal work. I'm thinking something that is 3/4 horsepower. What do you guys have in your home garage or use at work?
  20. I've known Bill for a while and it was bad ass to get to tell his story and the car's story. Still can't get used to the color... https://www.dragzine.com/features/big-boost-bill-lutzs-twin-turbo-1967-camaro-is-no-time-terror/
  21. Shot this a while back and my editor just now was able to get the story written. This car has all kinds of trick stuff done to it and should really haul ass when they get it dialed in. https://www.dragzine.com/news/ramblin-man-dean-vaughns-turboed-64-amc-no-time-rambler-wagon/
  22. Where's the hot spot to get raw materials to fabricate things in Columbus? Just picked up my welder and I'm going to need some material to build a welding cart, fab table, and some other projects I've got floating around in my head.
  23. I was thinking machining/fabricating but other tools work too. Welder is up there for sure if you have the cash. I picked up a Miller 211 from work that was used during Horsepower Wars for a good price.
