  1. No posting at Crack-Kroger on East Main today. If I can't carry there, I'm not going. Partially out of principle, but more-so out of concern for my life.
  2. They're like locusts at Crack-Kroger on East Main.
  3. Cars I drove but didn't pay for: 1986 Camaro 1985 Grand Am 1982 Mercury Zephyr 1994 Nissan Sentra Cars I paid for and drove: 1998 Toyota Tacoma 2004 Nissan Frontier 2007 Ford F-150 2004 Acura MDX Cars I paid for, but she drove: 1998 Mitsubishi Spyder GT 2000 Nissan Sentra 2001 Mazda MPV 2007 Toyota Sienna
  4. I suggest that you "WASP" him up to $800 or $900. WTF? I'd try to clean things up a bit before joining the fiancé’s family for Seder.
  5. I too think that's a little high. The ammo is probably $50 or so. The mags are probably $25 each. Gun around $400-$500. I'd say $500-$600 would be more reasonable. As above, it depends on the quality too.
  6. My SKS went full auto for about 6 rounds and then died. Got the range-attendant's attention at Dillon. Nice pick-up.

    Ranges?

New Albany Shooting Range has great instructors. I took my CCW there. On the downside, they are a great place to look at and even test what you want to buy, but then go to Vance's to buy it. Typically 15% or higher difference in pricing. I haven't been to Blackwing or Powder Room, but have heard that they both are very nice. There was talk about putting one in at the old Sun building on Alum Creek right by my house, but I think it was "voted" down by the area. Apparently, it would lower the value of the brand new Lion's Den, the cardboard box community down by the river, the hooker-corners, and the crack-houses.
  8. Pickerington's newest is a 2009 Honda. They're loving it.
  9. +1 on the Street Triple... the only bike that has made me wonder if maybe I should have instead.
  10. Sure, I'm a little biased... Yamaha FZ6. Fuel Injected, Claimed 98 horsepower, upright ergos, absolutely screams at 8K RPM. Average between 40 and 53 MPG depending on how I'm riding.
  11. You're really going to like the ride on that. IMO, the FZ6 and FZ1 are two of the most underestimated bikes out there. The ergos of a standard and the guts of racer.
  12. I was thinking more along the lines of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BoXu6QmxpJE
  13. Damn, now I feel old.
  14. I'd ask if the seller would get it notarized before you get there. I once purchased a car that was notarized about 4 months before I purchased it. I had to pay a small fee for the old notary ($30 I think). My point is that it's no skin off of the seller's back to get it notarized and hold on to the title until a buyer presents. Call and see if it is notarized already. It may be. If not, I'd ask to see the title, give him all but $300, take the bike home and then give him the rest of the cash when you get the title. And congrats! What are you looking at?
  15. I cannot begin to imagine the pain that that family must be feeling.
  16. "My facts are backed up by studies and research and I am a survivor of a gun violence victim." Damn those gun violence victims. Sounds like one whipped her ass.
  17. Good thinking regarding "locking it up". Kids will find guns. I did. Most on this forum knew exactly where the hidden guns were. I have a Gun Vault at bedside... I'd suggest the same or similar for anyone. However, I make sure that my kids see the guns, touch the guns, and ask about the guns as often as they like. I don't want to create a mystery. As for the gun, as said before... get one that you will shoot comfortably and then go out and practice. You'll find a full-size 9mm pretty easy to handle.
  18. +1^ As for the parent comments... That is also inate. What do you do when you come across a bear cub? GTF out of there because mamma bear won't be happy. Every try to mess with a baby goose? Ever swim up to a bluegill's nest? Ever climb a tree and find eggs?
  19. If I put on a ski mask, stood outside of the school, handed out candy and hugged kids, you would have no problem. The "no kids" thing wasn't meant to be an insult. It's a different relationship than I have ever had in my life. I think others would agree.
  20. How are those below-the-bars mirrors? Take a little getting used to? Great looking bike.
