  1. If you are a Mansfield area rider or know someone in the area that is proficient in wiring trucks and trailers and needs some extra cash send me a PM. I have a friend that has several crews working and has some trucks and trailers in need of wiring repairs, mostly broken wires and such. He has all his guys on hammers so he could use an extra hand for this. I would guess that it would be finding broken wires, pigtails or plugs and fixing such. Having a test light and/or a meter would probably be a plus because I don't know if he has one as this is not his line of work. If interested send me a PM and we will go from there. I told him since I can't get over there I would check here to see if anyone was interested over in that area.
  2. I think the group Slade deserved more credit than they got. Keep Your Hands Off My Power Supply was a drive it fast tape of the day. Ready to Explode is a long one but at the 6:25 mark starts the motorcycle part. 3. oops, I meant for this to be in The Daily Ride section, but this will work.
  4. There was a New York rider and his wife that had their bikes, truck and trailer stolen in Florida while down there for Bike Week in 2003. The bikes were recovered in Coshocton and in the same shape they were in when they were stolen, except for some dust and cob webs. Wish more bike thefts had happy endings but a little sooner. http://www.coshoctontribune.com/article/20110811/NEWS01/108110302/Motorcycles-stolen-Florida-recovered-Coshocton?odyssey=nav%7Chead
  5. I have both if you want to try them back to back.
  6. Jamez, you didn't mention spark plugs. I have a couple of friends that are mechanics and they scrap the plugs also, regular plugs in the steel bucket and platinum tip in a seperate bucket. I guess that the platinum tip plugs pay pretty decent.
  7. Here is a pic of some tacticool/useful slings that a guy made for his rifles, they use about 200' of paracord with the knives, mini-mag light, fire starter and zip ties added. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  8. I wish I had a video of the following moment but only because there was no permanant scars, lol. A couple of guys were winding the coils for a new dock door at the factoty I used to work at and one guy kept saying thats enough and the other guy kept saying it needed to be tighter. When they finially stopped winding the one guy stayed in the lift to adjust the stops on the track and the other guy yanked up on the door. When he got about waist high the spring tension took over and the door took off like it had rockets on it, the guy up top didn't have time to react and the door hit him right in the forehead and dropped him like a bad habit. When he woke up he was pissed and those two guys didn't speak for a couple of years. If you do it be careful, I have seen tire tools, pry bars and screwdrivers thrown for quite a distance. ETA, damn you guys are fast, there were four post since I started typing, lol.
  9. That calls for a tough decision because if I don't like it I don't keep it. As far as a revolver it is a toss up between my Dan Wesson .44 magnum in 8 3/8" heavy stainless and my Ruger GP100 .357 magnum in 6" heavy blued. As far as a semi-autos it is a toss up between my 1911 that is a pieces and parts gun that was built as a bowling pin shooter and my Glock 21 that is one of the first generation of their .45's.
  10. That's not a bad looking rifle, Good score. I had heard that they were butt ugly but to me the Ruger mock up is the ugly rifle. I bought a new in the wrap CMMG conversion and three mags for less than $175 out the door at a gun show last year in Cambridge. So far me the neighbor kid, my youngest son and myself have had a blast with it but if you put any backward tension on the mag at all it will jam. I have an easy fix for the problem but just haven't done it yet.

    If only...

I believe that if you have a licensed/registered full auto or SBR then these big mags are OK. However it is up to the local law on the interpretation of that exemption. A couple of years back there was a guy in the Sylvania-Toledo area that had a registered machine gun in the form of a short barrel rifle and he had mags that put him over the 31 round limit with one in the chamber. The cops used the round limit to take away his guns and he had to lawyer up to get them back. I believe that he won the case and the law cops were ordered to give the guns back but they hadn't returned them like a year later. Supposedly the prosecuter or whoever keeps trying to drum up reasons not to return the guns.
  12. I think I would pass on the Armalite. From what I have read about them they haven't compared even close to the CZ they are patterned after.
  13. Sure is and will be a sharp bike when it's done, two thumbs up.
  14. I have actually had two of these and they weren't too bad for the money. Both of the guys I sold them to still have them and both are on AR15 rifles. I have seen them for sale in the 400 range. http://www.blacklionoptics.com/nightvision/weapon_sights/mk-238.html

    New Toy

Nice LeMans Ringo, makes me wish I still had my '70 GTO.
  16. A little of the topic but as buildit says they take up very little room when broken down. I had a friend that took one apart and tucked it in the tail section, unhooked the horn and wired it there then plumbed it to his air shifter. He just held the horn button until the air pressure built up for his storage tank which by the way was his swingarm, pretty slick setup.
  17. Very nice looking home and I would love to be able to walk out the back door and be on my own shooting range.
  18. Done and she is up to 185 now, don't think she will have any problems winning this one.
  19. I have an aunt that is like 5 miles from the launch site and they watch the take offs with a telescope. This thread kind of hits me with the reality that I had a place to stay and never went to see a launch. Heck I've never been farther away than Roanoke Va. and that was a delivery, down and back.
  20. My current shoes are K-Swiss Tubes, I was very leary of buying these but am very satisfied with the purchase. They are comfortable and have lasted very good so far. I had my foot broke by an 8-900 pound steel beam and most of the time I end up hateing the shoes I'm wearing in a month or two but if they are on sale when we take the kid school shopping I will get another pair.

    Baby Ben

Congrats on the addition to the family!
  22. A member named modular had one and sold it, it was a 2010 model that he did some parts changing to and it was sweat looking. Here is a link to the add on thread. http://www.ohioriders.net/showthread.php?t=72249
  23. Prime is for when the tank has been drained or run out of gas. When you put gas in the tank it allows gas to run into the bowl without having to crank the motor over for several seconds trying to get fuel to the carb. If it is set up like I think, there is a fitting where the choke cable goes in the carb, it is like a 10 mm or so, remove it and see if the spring on that end of the cable has broken. Sometimes they will break and allow the cable to slide out of the choke plunger. The spring goes on the cable then the ball into the plunger and then the spring holds them together. The throttle cable runs your butterfly and as it allows more air into the system, vacuum opens the slide allowing more fuel into the system. It is very simular to the carb on the GZ250.
