That boy's never been to Nelson. -
Ok, perhaps some of our LEOs or armchair traffic cops can make me smarter

Pretty sure that's illegal. Whenever I do it I'm creeping and yielding to anyone that might turn left. As for your end of it, I also try to be aware of whatever is behind someone turning left in front of me. If I can't see, sometimes I'll just wait to let them go first. I would take even less risk if I was on a bike. Don't count on laws to protect you. Here's a question I have on the same topic of at least the title of your thread - what the hell are "restricted hours" on a school zone with no flashing lights? Is this something I'm supposed to know? Why don't they put hours on the damn sign like all those no turn on red signs? I actually got pulled over for this in driver's ed and I still don't know. Cop said something to the effect of "if you see kids outside coming or going or at recess or something" and let me go because "I know you folks from Parma are used to your flashing lights." Neither my instructor or his trainee in the car with me had any idea either. We were actually discussing it as I coasted down from 55 to about 45 before the cop nailed me. I thought of it again yesterday morning as I went through a school zone at 55mph at about 8:30. I'm usually passing though there much earlier, and had an "oh shit" realization about halfway through. Didn't see anybody outside, but the next school zone I came to the lights were on, then the one immediately after that the lights were off. WTF. P.S. A quick Google of this finds a bunch of people asking the same question, and the official answer from the ORC is the same vagueness the cop gave me. -
So will this run til at least 6?

SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY! I won't make it Saturday. I might make it Sunday. Don't plan around me though, I might not make it either way. In all honesty you're probably going to piss people off moving it without an obvious rainout day of.

EDIT: Got in touch.

I had four impacted wisdom teeth cut out of my head. I opted for full anesthesia just so I wouldn't know what was going on, the regular dentist is uncomfortable enough. That was awesome - I wish I could fall asleep like that every night. Nitrous going in and coming out was also a blast. Had a chipmunk face that evening but everything was back to normal by morning.

http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/2292352960.html Yamaha Jog 50cc - $525 (Westerville, Ohio) Date: 2011-03-28, 8:29PM EDT Reply to: sale-hmap8-2292352960@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?] I have a Yamaha Jog 50cc, it's a 1994, red and grey, older model but runs quiet and is great for campground, boat dock or race tracks. I has been used at the boat dock for the past several years, each year after it sets through the winter, add a little gas and it starts right up. It's a good one, it's a YAMAHA, not one of those Japanese ones you buy for $600 and they are not running in three months. Call me, Pauline 614-895-0219. Literally sick to my stomach that those guys do $100k modifications to $250k cars. I'm going to start investing all my money in lottery tickets. Otherwise it will never amount to anything anyway.

My machine IS a toy, and I will treat it with the same respect I have for a hooker.

Afro locks wheel up at 80mph...thrown piston rod is the culprit!

Not as much as mine when I thought I was heading into an oil slick at 140... -

Way to keep it up. Better it happened when it did that on the track. Probably wouldn't have lasted long at high revs. This was an ex-stuntbike that probably also saw a few too many whoolies in its time. Thankfully the race lower caught every drop of oil that didn't go up in flames. http://tinypic.com/r/o07aes/7 -
Or just by a long extension cord.

You can buy any gun with cash on the spot at a dealer too. If you buy from a reputable retail place they will take care of you should you have any issues. If you're the paranoid type that thinks the gubmint is gonna show up one day to take your guns, cash FTF leaves no paper trail. An actual dealer at a show will run the same background check the store will, and that paperwork never leaves the store anyway. I've never found any deals at a gunshow anyway, all I see is overpriced junk.

My advice is don't. Of course that is based on my first and only handgun that happens to be a 1911. After almost 1000rds of "break-in", lots of tinkering and frustration, I finally completed a 90rd course of fire this evening without a malfunction. That's the first successful range trip since the first 50rds. I feel like I got a lemon but a search of the internet shows it to be a common story these days, with manufacturers across the board apparently pushing the limits of their tolerance capability and parts quality. I wouldn't count on something like this for defense. Get some tactical tupperware that will go bang every time you pull the trigger. In my opinion (again, based on my rather limited experience), 1911s are for people who like to tinker.

I have some Fox ones that are pretty much identical that I wore for MX before I got knee braces. I've also worn them on pitbikes and snowboarding. They stay in place alot better if they're tucked into boots. Since the top isn't really fixed to anything I've found really baggy jeans will end up sort of hung up on the top when you straighten your leg. I seem to recall grabbing them and adjusting them around alot while wearing. For $13 what the hell... give it a shot.

This. Years ago I only knew you by a username on another site. It seemed your only purpose in life was to start trouble. I don't even remember any of the topics at hand, but I do remember that my opinion of you was very low. I had no idea who you were when you worked on my bike at Midohio. Sometime later I made the association. My exact thought at that moment was, "Wow, that guy really sucks at the internet." After that I watched as you caused a stir on another site unrelated to motorcycles. I just laughed, as I had come to expect it. I know you're a good guy "in real life." I learned long ago not to judge people from the internet. Some people take this shit too seriously, sometimes you seem to be one of them. It's all good. Hope your "series of events" didn't cause any lasting "real life" issues. P.S. I must've missed the "other thread" (re: Chevy) if it was on here recently.

I believe it works, look at the fairing and the frontal area your knees/legs would add. With all the other variations of dangling off the bike these days, I think they need to figure out a way to write a rule against it if they want to prohibit it. I bet things would get ugly if for some reason you needed to swerve. I wonder if it's ever been wind-tunnel tested by the top level guys. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rollie_Free

I'm one of the ~50% of people who responded to the gear poll that wears jeans on the street. This does bother me a bit, I just try not to think about it. I was curious what options are out there that fall between jeans and the leather I wear on the track. Has anybody crash-tested any of the "reinforced" jeans? Any opinions by inspection that some models offer more protection than others? Any more or less comfortable than others? Any other options comfortable and low-key enough to wear when the destination is more important than the ride? How about some type of commuting over pant? I've never shopped for anything like this so all opinions are welcome. Just wondering if there is anything out there that offers enough of an increase in protection to be worth (to me) any tradeoffs in comfort and convenience. I do select the jeans I wear riding with durability in mind, so if something isn't going to offer much more protection than heavy weight denim I probably won't consider it. Didn't want to have to parse the scooter thread for responses.

All I heard about all pre-season is how ridiculously fast the Hondas were - I was happy to see that claims appear to be exaggerated. It seemed to me that race spread out less than most of them last year. If Yamaha can find a few more ponies Lorenzo will be back to giving lessons and Spies won't be far behind. Wonder what Rossi was thinking when Spies went by on his bike. I sincerely wish the best for Ducati, and hope as Rossi moves up the order that Hayden is right there with him.

Here's my key story for the thread jacker. I wanted another key for my Honda, because I had to cut one to install an aftermarket steering damper and didn't want to trash the originals. Honda dealer A about 45 minutes away told me to bring in my title and the ignition off the bike, and they would make me a new one on a Honda blank for ~$12. Me and the parts girl sat there for quite some time and wasted all the key blanks they had in stock trying to cut keys with the dealer tool before I realized the tool was too wasted to cut a good key without some trickery. She said she'd order more and I could come back next week and try again. Honda dealer B about 25 minutes away told me to bring a key and they could make a copy no problem. They have one of those tracer machines like they cut house keys with at Home Depot. $3 and five minutes later I had a working key on an Ilco blank. I realize dealer B does not help the OP, but if you have a key that works, old school is the way to go.
