  1. The harbor freight is fine. Daily use, track use, winter storage, whatever. Not a bad stand at all, and only about $24 brand new (use the 20% off coupon). Pit bull is great stuff, but way overkill for most of us. Had one, it was fine. Let it go with the SV650 when I sold it. http://www.harborfreight.com/motorcycle-swingarm-rear-stand-65620.html
  2. The problem is the bike. GSXR's aren't really designed for the track. And why are you keeping your feet on the pegs, anyhow? Haven't you perfected the Rossi "hang your inside leg/ foot off for no apparent reason" technique yet??? All the cool kids are doing it, but nobody knows why.
  3. I'm so sorry for your loss, but glad that the chapter ended peacefully and lovingly.
  4. Cracked into it again, and yeah, it was hooked up correctly, but the front cylinder was pulling so much more than the rear one. Clockwise on the screw did lessen the front/ increase the rear. I got them fairly even, buttoned it back up, and went out for a ride. From all the stuff I read, I figured that there would be a huge difference in performance, but there really wasn't. Pretty disappointed. Got it back home, back up on the surgery table, and cracked into it again. Off the bat, they were still pretty even, then went haywire. Craaaaaap. Tried adjusting it again, sucked more ATF into the engine, tried some more, then had a beer or two. Its got a PCIII on it, but I don't know if that changes anything. It was on there when I got it, and I haven't touched it and don't really know anything about it. "Hello, CCM? Can I speak to the service department?" Screwit. Valves need to be checked, TPS checked, and then the TB sync that started the whole snowball...
  5. The early link doesn't work. Any photos/ pics?
  6. I read all the forums and info, and decided I'd sync the TBs on my 07 SV1k last Saturday afternoon. Very simple procedure, or so I thought. Hooked up the hoses, started the bike, and the front cylinder started sucking the ATF fluid in. Quickly. All the "how-to" info said there might be some differences between the pull on the cylinders, but I can't find anything about troubleshooting for the problem I ran into. Thoughts anyone??
  7. Honestly, sounds like you were looking for a confrontation from the get-go. Did you think your charm would cause the salesWOMAN to give you a better deal than a guy? (Edit: Sorry, misread the OP. Thought you requested a woman specifically...). Nevertheless, there are better deals out there. Did you REALLY have any intention of buying? If she had said "Yes" to the $13k, would you have been picking your date up on a new bike?
  8. Taco's suck on gas. Suuuuuckkkkkk.
  9. I was just on I-71 between Cinti and CMH, and on just the stretch from SR48 (Lebanon) to Rt 68 (Wilmington/ CCM exit) there were seven of them stalking. Aaargh
  10. http://tinyurl.com/cznf5pk WHAT!?!?! No mention of whether or not she was wearing a helmet? I thought that was obligatory!
  11. Blew the horn on the SV1K the other day while in the garage, but meant to hit the starter. On my z400, the starter is in the same location as a horn button on street bikes. Whose idea was this??!?
  12. I may be dating myself here, but I miss the old MotoGP days of Doohan, Schwants, Rainey, et al. Back when they raced with their skills, knowing that the vicious two-stroke beasts with the scary powerbands could flip them on their heads at any moment. Days when Gary McCoy would leave beautiful long dark blackies coming out of the corners. Too many electronic limiters now. It was much more exciting then. Sure, I still watch, but it seems pretty sterile in comparison. Now its all low-sides in the rain.
  13. I think I passed you heading out of Morrow on Mason Morrow Millgrove Rd (yeah, thats the name. Seriously). Cruiser with you? I turned around, followed for a mile or so, broke away. Is the Z stretched?
  14. Another reason to dig Gen...
  15. Uhm, are you a college student?
  16. Theres a trooper that likes to sit on 350 just east of the greasy spoon where 350 breaks away from 123, heading from Lebanon to Ft Ancient. He popped me the other night, but was a very nice guy. Checked my info, let me go. I wasn't flying or being stupid. Heading out that way now.
  17. Glad I got to meet you and your dad at the Dayton Meet 'n Greet. Best of luck with your healing. Hopefully in 20 years I'll be retired and part of Florida Riders or Tennessee Riders...
  18. I thought it was gonna be this photo again.
  19. Is the Oregon District still a gathering spot for sportbikes on Sat nights? Its been a long time... We used to have some decent groups ride out of there. That was a long time ago (when I was able to stay awake past 10pm).
  20. I think "the people" are making a pretty powerful statement.
  21. Go to Iron Pony while up there. Just cuz you can.
