  1. Touche! I work out of the house, and live at the end of a cul de sac. My "office" looks down the street. Yeah, I see your point.
  2. My neighbors mommie just put her grandkids on the schoolbus to go to afternoon kindergarten. Her car is parked just outside the front facing garage. She opened the overhead door, and she and the two little ones ran to get into the car. She started it, backed out of the drive, turned the car around, and backed in at the end of the drive. The driveway is only three cars "deep". When they saw the bus down the street, at the one stop prior to theirs (about two minutes after getting into the car) the three got out of the car, and stood under an umbrella at the side of the car. The bus came, stopped, the kids got on. Then gramma gets back in the car, starts it, pulls out, turns around, and parks the car exactly where (and how) it was when they came out of the house. Unreal.
  3. I used to use BP exclusively back in the 90s because they would send me trinkets every so often (coupons, nice coffee cups, etc). When they started phasing out some here (Dayton area), I switched to Marathon, though I don't really remember why. I went from a steady 25 mpg to 28 mpg with no other changes whatsoever. We continue to use Marathon because of the discounts they give with the credit card (10, 15, and/ or 25 cents per gallon, I think. Depends on how much you spend per month). Never had a problem with it. Seems that most of them are owned/ run by, uhm, "folks for whom English is not their native language", which is funny since their tag line is "Fueling the American spirit". I think they're tied in with Speedway somehow, too, but not for the discounts.
  4. Nice. Never really pegged you as a name caller. No more than they do now. Renew your old plates as often as you like, switch them between vehicles, etc. Doesn't have to cost you anything more.
  5. I'm guessing it would take a long time to squeeze $100k out of him.

  7. Poor guy. The agony of having to maintain a huge garage! (playing with you)
  8. Update (to the gun issue): http://www.usnews.com/news/blogs/washington-whispers/2011/11/23/interior-reverses-course-no-shooting-restrictions
  9. Indeed. Ironic indeed. Picked up another six of it today, and asked my wife to bring home some ice cream.
  10. Where are the model photos?
  11. We were fishing off of the beach at HHI about 14 years ago, and were amazed at the types and numbers of fish we pulled out of the water, and how relatively close-in to shore they were. Lots of stingrays, some croakers, and a small sand shark. After that, the guy I was fishing with wouldn't go into the water. This past August we were down in Destin, and the water was glass smooth and crazy clear, so he finally got in the water. We were floating on boogie boards about 150 feet off of the beach. We could see the bottom of the sea floor, and there was a stingray hanging out below us. Little yellow and black fish were hanging out in our shadows, and would nip at us once in awhile. We didn't have masks or anything. Just looking down from above. Asked him how deep it was, and neither of us had a clue, so I moved over and dropped down. Guessing about 10-11 feet deep. It was amazing.
  12. Oh my gosh. I'm off to Kroger for some ice cream: http://www.breckbrew.com/food/vanilla_porter_milkshake.html

  14. Wow. That hardly seems called-for. Actually, the light itself is far from "huge". Its smaller than I thought it would be, and only 6volts. I'm guessing it would be perfect for seeing addresses, assuming the owner actually has them on their house.
  15. Welcome to keep it at my house. Where will you be in Cinti (N, E, S, W)? I'm north of Lebanon, about 10 min out of downtown Lebanon, so it may not be convenient, but you are welcome.
  16. Fair enough. I edited because after I wrote it, I thought it was kind of a crappy thing to do. Just didn't seem right.
  17. C'mon now, what has he really done, work-wise? Nothing. He likes to talk to crowds of people, play golf, and fly separately from his family to faraway (and frequent) vacations. What a worthless government we have. All branches, all members, all parties. "Ignore it and it'll go away" isn't feasible anymore.
  18. Saw this in Caspers "I drink too much. So much that I take photos of the beers" thread, and have been keeping my eyes open for it. Found some today at Springboro Wine, so got it. Good stuff. Just a hint of the vanilla right at the beginning. Best of all, my wife doesn't like porters and the like, so she'll leave it alone. Thanks Ben.
  19. I think we (as a country) are being set up. The DNC knew/ knows that Obama would burn a lot of bridges in one term, so they're going to bring in Hillary for phase two, and she's going to light the country on fire. Obama is just a stand in and primer for the real destruction. He's only a figurehead, hence he can be on vacation and playing golf more than he's in the Oval Office.
  20. Obama to try to close "public" land to shooters? http://www.usnews.com/news/blogs/washington-whispers/2011/11/16/obama-pushing-shooters-off-public-lands

  22. For some reason, I couldn't get that Free Pizza coupon to print. Can you post again??
