Update: Finally rec'd the eargoo on Friday, so copied this guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmk-y_9exJ8 . I have a pair of Skullcandies that I just bought because my Sony ear rubbers needed to be replaced, and the phones were on a clearance rack at Meijer for $3. Short version: I didn't like the outcome. Ear goo was fine, trimming was easy, but the buds lost all of their bass. All of it. Popped the Skulls out from the cured goo, and inserted the Sony's, with the same results. I would use the goo as a noise reducer, and the buds on their own, but won't be using the combination. Gonna try the above version today (altered foam plugs), just for grins. Note: If you copy this guy on the eargoo version, there's no need to drill out the hole like he did. You cut that away, anyhow. Also, pay close attention to the angle that you insert the buds into the goo. The alignment toward the ear canal seems to have a notable impact on the sound/ volume. I love my Sony's, though I don't like any of their other audio stuff (home nor auto, none of it).
