I have not found one thing at Conway's BBQ so far that I do not like, never tried the catfish though, not a fan, guys at work like it though...Turkey, pulled pork, slaw, mac & cheese (take two) is my favorite.
Same for me on my Speed Triple, dragging parts, bad body position causes most of this for me. I struggle getting my upper body in the correct position with handlebars on the SP3 at the track, Pretty sure that was/is my own fault though...
Change oil yourself, check fasteners, chain and all crucial points of interest, you can find all the info needed online, then you ride this weekend. I agree with all on the first service, but you are probably only paying for a record of service, you really do not know what all they check, not a fan of dealers. I would feel better taking it to a trusted private mechanic that will actually do the entire first service as recommended by Suzuki, if you do not want to do the work yourself that is.
Ninja 1K, Z1000, speed or street triple, CB1000R, FZ8, Tuono... I have owned a Harley Davidson and a Buell, I was not happy owning either one, maybe you will be? Best of luck with your decision...
I am in a similar situation, except I will be coming from a Speed Triple, to ???... I really like V2's though, SV650/SV1000? I have considered a Street Triple R ,or a Daytona 675R, but that is more $ than I want to spend on a track bike. All fun for me, not trying to set any records, or become a racer (hahaha), I just want to be a decent track rider, stay upright, and have a good time is all. Not really thread jacking, a message within a question...
Great news Doc, see you there! Ask Jbot if he will give you the advanced lesson he gave me, setting me up and owning me in turn 13 at Nelson...Pics to prove it... haha!
Little Switzerland is a must, and surrounding roads...421, 226, 226A, 221, 181, 90, 80, 261, 143, 91, 133, 107, 209, 212, 352, 321, 32, this should get you started...
The 003 RS's performed great, stuck to the track even in the damp morning...track dried, the tires worked flawless, a bit chewed up, what else can you expect though. Oh yeah completely transformed the Speed Triple, in a good way! Belly pan did not fare so well, scraped up on both sides...
