  1. Type in Pensacola, NC and follow 197 (North Fork Road), trust me the map does not do it justice.
  2. NC 151 is an awesome ride, it is short though. The section of 197, heading toward Bernardsville, just before it turns to gravel, is just amazing, watch out for the little dog that chases you on the first switchback though. Riding around Asheville is unbelievable, so many great routes to ride, not much more to say. You guys should really consider this offer, you will not regret it!!! I am trying to get back to Asheville sometime in June or July.
  3. I am not to far from you, I usually ride your way when meeting up with some guys from the Cleveland area, then we head South.
  4. SOLD<<<<<The bike: 2009 Buell 1125R in the white and blue paint scheme, frame sliders, axle sliders, stock and aftermarket (Precision Engineering) pegs, aftermarket brake and shifter pegs (stock included), turn-outs installed on the stock exhaust (painted mild steel, needs touched up), Michelin Pilot Power tires (decent shape), and for the major upgrade, a Dealer installed (A.D. Farrow) brand new engine; 2010 engine with all new components with less than 1K miles on them, all upgrades are current with new electrical parts installed when the engine was replaced. Again, all Dealer installed with all paperwork and work history present. I would like $7000, but please fell free to make me an offer, I do owe much more than this on the bike so please be reasonable.>>>>>SOLD
  5. Nope not as fortunate as you, along with many other 1125 owners.
  6. Probably not much of an improvement over your Thunderbolt in reliability, just better looking, more power, and much more costly to buy and own.
  7. Yeah I think that might be the exhaust, good point, other than giving it to you... Correction I think the pipe is from British Customs. The 2011 is $11,799 plus tax & fees in stock form, The 2010 is $10,900 OTD, with all the accessories included, I do not know what that translates into if the 2010 was in stock form, my guess is around $8500, maybe less. If I added the accessories the 2010 has to the 2011, that is where the $4,000 dollar difference came from, my bad, I should have been more clear on that.
  8. This is the only one I have right now, I will need to take some.
  9. I have a single axle 6'x14' v-nose enclosed trailer for sale set up for 2 bikes, it is charcoal colored. It is a 2012 LOOK Element Trailer with 2 wheel chokes, and two 5' sections of E-track fastened to the floor, with 4 e-track rings. I purchased it brand new, I pulled it home and only used it on one trip to Deals Gap, still in perfect shape. Owners Manual and all the paperwork included. No trades, cash in hand please! I think it is working my Jeep to hard is the only reason I am selling. La Rue, OH 43332 http://www.looktrailers.com/ all the information for the trailer is here, Element model.
  10. Nicely done, you indirectly suggested I consider a Midnight Warrior... Sorry I missed that, I think your right, $13K OTD on a new purchase. Thank you for pointing that out, and the Z1K compliment.
  11. Of course the best deal I can get, but with the brands mentioned they should all be close to my budget.
  12. Why ask for the stock exhaust? The aftermarket exhaust is not the Arrow exhaust, I forget what he said it was, it is a British Company who makes it, single exhaust that exits just behind the rider peg. Personally I think I might like the undertail exhaust better.
  13. Thanks for the replies, I was thinking the same thing, the 2010 is a better deal by far. If you were shopping for a new motorcycle, what would be your choice, Kawasaki, Honda, Yamaha, Triumph, and what model? More than likely I will end up with the SV1000S, and the new bike I choose. The Triumph Thunderbird Storm I looked at today really caught my attention, I must be getting old.
  14. I am seriously considering one of the two. The price of the new 2010 with the dealer added accessories, speed screen, chin spoiler, seal cowl, and exhaust, looks like it will be close to $4K less than the new 2011 with no accessories added. What do you guys think, while taking into consideration the many upgrades the 2011 has seen compared to the 2010 with accessories, which would you choose? Thank you for the advice!
  15. I did not see the random checkpoints, but they are patrolling it hard, State and County. http://www.photoreflect.com/store/Orderpage.aspx?pi=1WPV001B040187&po=13&a=802377&fip=1
  16. That sounds like we will certainly cross paths somewhere, I am not sure the exact routes and what days, I am meeting a rider from VA, and he is mapping our trips, I won't know till I get there, but I do know we will be seeing some of the same roads. Little Switzerland and the Asheville area, along with 421, will be the following week for me. I should be riding Wayah Road with some riders from FL, MI, and VA on Wed., at least that is what I think is planned?
  17. I will certainly be looking for you, I am staying at the Deals Gap Resort, I should get there on Tuesday. A white and blue Buell 1125R, or a blue Suzuki SV1000S, I think the Z1000 is staying home, if not it is white and orange, the Buell and the Suzuki are going for sure.
  18. I am going next week too, maybe I will see you there.
  19. My 2008 Z1000 has been good to me so far. If you can get your hands on a 2010 or a 2011 Z1000, that is the way I would go, but if not, the earlier models are good bikes too.
  20. I personally have not purchased anything from Honda East, but I know several people who have, and they all speak highly of them.
  21. Welcome to the site!
