Everything posted by what

  1. target fixation and hitting brakes. he was headed towards the truck before he was out from behind the rock/buffer.
  2. looks like whatever program they use to flatten the image prior to print didn't preserve the transparency on the drop shadow. should have been caught by QC, assuming there is QC
  3. I'll either be medium-fast or medium-hatium-ish depending on how I'm feeling that morning.
  4. There's a big parking garage right outside hofbrau. You can probably sneak up to the top level and hide it there.
  5. what

    rm -rf

i think they kill themselves over something like that over in japan.
  6. dropped by on the way home from picking up my bike, didn't see any bikes, decided to try again some other time. was there right at 6-6:10 though.
  7. 70 and sunny. let's hope it stays that way!
  8. I can say that my SV is lower mileage (6300-ish) because it wasn't built for my 6'6 self. Damn knees.
  9. so both parties involved are in the wrong. shocking.
  10. until all the rumbling and shaking causes the loose rock in the surrounding area to break away and cover the roads.
  11. Considering indicated speed can run above or below actual speed by as much as 10%, I have no idea how they will actually enforce this. Hopefully a limited run thing that will be over by June and apply mainly to the interstates...
  12. "It's finally warm again" bump. Bike is currently in Xenia, stored for winter. Will be giving it the pre-season treatment in the next week or two (fluids changed, spiders relocated, etc).
  13. Count me in, nice early ride. Just got out of having to work that day too. Hooray.
  14. the only room is the one in the waaaay back right hand side of the building. they may put us if there's enough of us.
  15. SVs are lovely bikes, nice and nimble with a sweet spot right around 7-8k rpm. You'll be spending a lot of time in 3rd gear... hehe. Suspension and brakes are the biggest two things with SVs but you should have both of those covered with the gsxr swap on the front and the zx14 rear (my SV has the same). If the swap doesn't include steel braided lines, I would toss those on. Also consider an aftermarket seat (corbin or sergent) as the stocker is formed just right to make you consider amputating your ass after a couple hours. Looks like that guy has some mods already with no clip-ons and (a single?) moto style grip. Will you be going back to clip-ons after the gsxr swap?
  16. what

    Triumph sprint

Don't have a sprint but I'll agree with Hellmutt that Triumph built one hell of an engine. The 675 pulls hard all the way up, would be interested in riding a 900+ triple to see how those are in comparison.
  17. About 2 years now. I decided to ease into a lifestyle change rather than crash diet. Slow but steady... seems to be working.
  18. Down another 20lbs since Jan 17th. Should be down another 20 by late May if I keep this pace, will put me at around 140lbs total loss.
