Nicky is the only American on the world stage as far as motorcycle racing goes - a pretty big blow to fans of his. I've met his dad and they still seem to be pretty down to earth people despite all of the accomplishments within the family. Hoping Nicky makes it through this ok.

as far as comfort goes, the fz07 will probably be the best out of all the things you listed. any standard will be more comfortable than a sport.

Have fun! Wish I had the day off, I might be tempted to go again, lol... shaved 10 seconds off my lap times yesterday before legs started cramping and I decided to call it a day. Want to drop into mid 1:50's, need to get my corner speed up. Ended the day at 2:01 (session 5) but felt like I could have shaved a few more seconds in the afternoon sessions if my muscles hadn't decided to misbehave... Next time for sure.

Just a heads up that this is happening on Friday/Saturday, if anyone is looking for something to do. A buddy of mine is racing and is currently leading points in the 2wd class. It was supposed to be cold and rainy at Mid-O yesterday until around noon the day before so...

On hot days, you're going to be hot as hell in anything you wear unless you buy squid gear. This dudes in this video are probably fairly comfortable. It's also a good example of why you'll find cheap liter bikes. That said, I wear full leathers every time I go out on any sort of lengthy ride. I don't use my bike to commute so that turns into pretty much every time I ride I'm wearing full race gear. I stay comfortable until it hits 90/95 degrees. The leathers are fine down to about 40 degrees, though I need some cold weather gloves. My hands were icicles on the last 40 degree morning ride over to Coshocton.

Honestly, all dealers should at least have a demo version of their more popular models. It's ludicrous to expect people to drop $10k+ on a new vehicle without being able to test it out first. Bikes are kinda like shoes, it may look great and you think it will fit 100% until you try it on and your toes are touching the end.

It was a beautiful day at the track. Met Ravi and his fiance, ended the day running 2:01 but a leg cramp put an early end to any more gains in the afternoon. Next time I hope to hit 1:50's. I've got video from about every session, although the morning sessions were kinda snoozefests since there were 35 people in novice and it was traffic jams everywhere. All in all I'm happy with where I'm at for the first of 4-5 track days this year. Good luck to all you guys running on Tuesday, I hope the weather is even nicer for ya.

Loaded track bike on trailer. Discovered JB Weld won't hold the washer fairing bracket in place, will need a real weld.
