All tires swapped and all wheels back on both bikes. Will probably stick with Q3 on the street triple and PP3 on the Ducati. Might have to try out Pilot Roads after the Q3's are done though, seems a few people on this forum run PR4s. Would like to see what mileage I could get out of a set.

Glad you all had a good ride! I at least got the front tire swapped on the Ducati today after finishing up client work, so it wasn't a total loss. Both bikes ready to rock and roll on the 14th now!

Buy-in is pretty cheap, I may pick up a mini later this year or over the winter.

Just gonna pick up a 17mm alen today. Already got the tire off the duc rim down here at the OMRL track. Fronts are significantly easier than rears it seems. That's what she said.

PP3 rear mounted on the Ducati, no more chain rub... not even close. Looks like I'll be sticking with Michelin/Bridgestone on the track bike. A shame since Q3's are so very sticky.

Q3 rear on the Triumph... PP3 rear on the Ducati... Don't have a 17mm allen to remove front wheel from the Triumph... why you gotta make things difficult you god damn biscuit eaters? Can't just use the same 25mm socket I have for the Duc? :| Gonna be an early morning run to Whalemart or Lowes to grab the allen and get the front wheel off before setting off for Circleville to meet @jacobhawkins at 9-ish.

lol... apple's auto-correct strikes again it seems. It works, but I found I had to go around almost the entire circumference of the rim before the bead would actually come off. It will be easier moving forward though since last night was the first time I used it and there's a bit of finesse involved.

changed my first tire the old-fashioned way. Forgot to buy weights, will pick some up tomorrow then it's time to go ham and swap 3 more tires this weekend.

I'll pitch in here too: I ordered a Vortex head stand from Mike last week in the late afternoon, the order still shipped same-day and arrived a day later. Mike puts up with me asking for quotes on various things I don't buy throughout the year and still goes the extra mile when I do actually pick something up. RD is always the first place I check on big-ticket items and the only time I'm disappointed is when they don't carry what I'm looking for because I know I'm not getting the best possible deal.

I'll have extra room in the car too if it's not shipped straight to Wheeler. I'd imagine he would just order the tire and hang onto it for you though...

If you're flying out of Columbus, get there earlier than you think you need to be. The super early flights are always the most crowded for whatever reason... barely made it onto my 6am Delta flight last week to L.A. and I was there 1.5 hours early. Like, they were closing the doors to the plane as I stepped on board barely. The TSA line was the one that took so long. Over an hour.

I ordered a new PP3 rear last night, though it's going on the track bike and the Q3s from the track bike are migrating over to the Triumph. Dunlop runs really wide on their tires... their 180/55 rear is actually 186mm. Michelin on the other hand runs slightly narrow. I might need a stop in at Wheelers too, depending on how long the Q3s last on the street. They only have 1 track day on them but it beat the rear up pretty good. Soooo sticky though... will be nice on those southern roads with their sand paper asphalt. Just like finding cloths brands that fit I guess.
