  3. With the diversity of this site, this might be interesting.
  4. Yea her counter part will be on maternity leave and there is another lady with more time than her at the office that wants those days off too. So it is what it is.

  6. Well the Mrs. going with me is not going to happen now, she can't get the time off work. I have the entire week off so right now the plan is her and I plan on going to Cedar Point that Monday and I'll be leaving for the Gap on Tuesday and taking 2 days to go down. Haven't thought of a route yet but I will be Zero freeway. If for some reason she can't get that Monday off to go to CP I will be leaving for the gap Sunday and taking a grand tour down.
  7. Welcome. We have a group trip to the Dragon area in June you should try to join. Plenty of track bubbys on there that can help you with that also.
  8. No Problem. Think im set for the year. I've got a half worn set of Roadsmart3's on the bike and a new set of Roadsmart 3's in the garage already. Now with the 2 rears and one front of these T30s on the way I should be set. Along with the rear ill have to buy while out west.
  9. Yup, the Connie eats them up, Literally. But then again it eats every tire up Think I've ran about 6 sets of them over the last couple years. Wish could get more miles out of them but for the price it's still a bargin. Guys on lighter less HP bikes theese will last a long time.
  10. I was on the fence with the T31 vs T30, it would have been $110 more to order the two rears and one front that I ordered to get the T31. In the end after research I decided the T31 wasn't worth the extra money. The only thing that chanced is a slightly different water sipes that supposed to improve wet road grip. Which I never has any wet road issue with the T30. And the front is supposed to be a slight different silica compound for better dry road handling which I figure was to fix the slow warm up issue that just about any ST tire has. Dosnt bother me because your supposed to warm your tires up anyway before railing on it no matter the tire. So that's really it. They didn't give it any more wear or mileage. If anything the front will get less miles on the T31 due to the new compound.
  11. In that case maybe the gsx1250fa is a option. https://www.cycletrader.com/listing/2011-Suzuki-GSX1250FA-123273005
  12. So I'm sure I've covered this in a previous post but just a recap. Two years ago I started at 298+ lbs., then came the total life style change you all have heard about. Got down to 228 lbs last April then came my accident and back injury. Got back up to 254 lbs this last summer before I decided to get back on track. Decided at the begining of the year I will now only do monthly weigh ins. Last month I was down to 239 and today I'm down to 233.8 lbs. My first goal is to be back down to the 228 before April 23rd which is the date of my accident last year. Then the next goal will be 219.9 hopefully by vacation that is May 20. The second goal might be a stretch but we'll see. Been kind of lazy on workouts the last two weeks due to getting things done around the house and then getting sick last weekend and not totally over it yet. But I have stuck to the old diet fairly well. So that's it for now we will truck on and see what net months weigh in tells.
  13. Since Bridgestone came out with the new T31 they have all the old T30 and T30 EVO even the GT specs on close out. I just bought 2 rears and one front for $349 delivered. (Or $219 for a set) The T30 is one of my favorites grippy as hell and great in the wet. ST tires would be great for 80% of you riders out there, most of you will not run out of grip or performance on these tires. Can't go wrong at these prices with free shipping and no tax. https://www.ridersdomain.com/motorcycle-tires/bridgestone-touring-tires?dsc=clearance&cont=radial
  14. City riding? Freeway riding? I don't even know you people anymore. Welcome @NewbieBaby71 lots of great folks here don't be shy and get to know them. Lots of great info to be found. And hit up or sponser @RidersDiscount for the best deals on riding gear.
  15. Most of us will never ride to our bikes full potential no matter what you ride. So get what you think looks and or feel good and just log miles. Or just get what ever makes your peepee look bigger and go.
  16. I think the connie, vfr and fjr are kind of ugly too but that's not what I base my bike selection on. I wouldn't own another adventure bike either, just wasn't my thing.
  17. Being old fuckers has its advantages, we pay $180 a year for 2 bikes and 2 riders full coverage
  18. Then your doing it the right way. Set it up the way you want because later in the game you will feel like it's not worth the money to do it. There are things i wish I had done in the beginning that I won't do now because I feel she's on the down hill slope of ownership.
  19. With the miles and beats and bangs mine has taken over the years she isn't worth much to anyone but me. Ive seen far nicer units than mine sell for less than $5k
  20. You have officially put more money into your connie than mine is worth
  21. Was going to wrench on the bike today but had to work on the short bus grocery getter instead. 160k miles was just too much for the stock rear pads and rotors I guess...lol All shiny and new now.
