My wife won't sell her bike, but would possibly swap or trade it towards another -- It seems she now has the "bug" as this is her 1st bike and she won't do without after this :D I can't blame her, I've been this way since I was 11 yrs old

I understand being the middle-man......not always fun trying to help someone out.....and my wife wouldn't be able to ride this bike without quite a bit of lowering, especially if your wife's friend has trouble at 5'3" - it would be possible to lower the bike enough so she could ride it BUT let me talk it over with my better half and see what she'd like to do - My wife's Intruder is in stellar condition and would definitely be worth the swap, but we haven't really shopped much for a sport ride that suits her -- this was kind of an impulse initiated by me So I'll be in touch Mike, thanks man

That's not a bad deal........do you have prior sportbike experience? A 1k sportbike is quite a jump up from a 750 vtwin

I love Buell's front brake design -- seems ( thinking logically, that is ) that they would give you plenty MORE braking power since the friction zone would be that much larger in circumference AND since it's closer to the diameter of the front wheel than conventional systems increasing applied force wouldn't it? And......wouldn't the brakes run cooler with more friction surface area to allow better heat dissipation?

Oh, and you're cool in my book - in my experience not too many guys your age can figure out a computer, much less operate one!!

I can appreciate the talent for sure, but more importantly......time and place fella's......time and place. Public roads are not controlled environments to be pullin' stunts - too much can go wrong and possibly cost lives. There was a guy in Tipp City that used to ride with StarBoyz outta Cleveland that joined our pack one summer years ago, he'd ride wheelies in different stances on I-75 from Tipp all the way to the I-70 interchange - he blew his 900RR that year, oil pump cavitated enough to eventually starve the bearings into spinning - stupid...

Showed my wife the pics and she'd like to know how tall the seller is to see if she could even ride it ( my wife's 5ft ) - she may be willing to trade her bike straight up ( CLEAN '98 Intruder 800 with lots of goodies )

Gotcha, almost figured that was your position on it - just wasn't entirely clear.......But I agree, it's like going hunting with buddies and there's one guy that's clueless to gun safety and proper handling......scary stuff to be around sometimes.
