  1. "Well maintained" being the key phrase in that garage, nice scoots Lime. I've seen bikes with half that mileage, molested, neglected, and beat to shit. Some owners will never get it. They live to thrash it, sell it, buy another, rinse and repeat
  2. Jesus oldschool! Hell of a collection!! GLWS
  3. Did the bike run before teardown? Been a while since I've visited this thread and didn't reread the first few pages, but I'd advise a continuity test on the harness leads before install just in case there are any broken circuits. Maybe I'm just being anal but hate to hear you got it all routed and secured to find an electrical issue later that would need tracked down. Lookin good so far though
  4. If it's weighing in under an FZ6, I highly doubt it's a sleeved 1k. If you want a handful more ponies than a tuned FZ6 and care less about fuel mileage, FZ8 is probably a fine bike. Personally, I'd seek out an FZ09 for even better all-aroundness
  5. Odd that they cant at least pinpoint what side of the planet its coming from. Surely several types of space phenomenon can create a random burst of frequencies from time to time, just weird that it's not more detectable in one country vs another. Or am I missing something?

    Riders Down

Watching the vid it looks like you'd have been much better off holding your line or maybe widening your line a bit to try and ride it out, or lowsiding. But hindsight being 20/20 and all that jazz, the "what if's" are limitless. That leg looks nasty Derek. Glad you 2 aren't any worse off than you are.
  7. and +1 for the MSF basic riders course and the advanced course. Will teach you the fundamentals and some good low speed maneuvers.
  8. No cruiser hate from me, thinking of getting into something more comfy myself

Glad to hear you're both still kickin. Speediest of recoveries to you both. Take it easy out there everybody, it aint no racetrack
  11. Low tire pressure would fight natural turning input, it's happened to me before.
  12. ^^That is biased propoganda Josh, it seems like this one has had a rough life for sure -- That said, with no more miles that it's got, it may be worth jabbing his price down some more to accommodate replacing/repairing bodywork to your liking since the powertrain is likely still sound even if the maintenance has been neglected.
  13. Nah, it's Saturday so my work ethic is automatically set to "minimal effort"
  14. He is 5'11 and weight was around 160 back when he had his ninja, but his cruiser days have caught up to him so he's not able to squeeze in it anymore.
  15. Researched this a bit and I'm not seeing where 40us and 50euro are equivalent sizes. My buddy thought these were what the 2 sizes on the tag meant, but now I'm not so sure. I am positive the suit isn't a 50us because it's much too small compared to the 52us I wear Tony has bowed out, so this is all up for grabs. NEW PRICE OF $375 + FREE SHIPPING
  16. I enjoyed the track all afternoon, but during the morning sessions my head just wasn't on point with the wife crashing out early in session 1. Think it shook us all up a little in the beginning. Afternoon sessions I ended up testing my abilities quite a bit more. My bike's suspension needs some serious attention, it was setup way too soft so I had trouble holding my lines at entry. Wearing textile gear definitely had me riding much more conservative than I could have, so my best efforts ended up being a little over 2 minute lap times ( like it matters without proper gear/bike setup ). I plan to get back down into my leathers and get the suspension resprung and setup for my weight before my next trackday there. All in all, it was a blast and I learned quite a bit about where line entry/apex/exits should be. Looking forward to the next one
  17. What a day. Nothing like watching cars try to run the track dry all day at the bike races I'd like to punch mother nature right square in her suck
  18. Awesome trackday today. My ass is whooped LOL. Hopefully walking MidO top to bottom the next 2 days will loosen me back up Thanx toTodd for the help in getting my wife back to the paddock safely too, we were both shaken up from her little ordeal.
