  1. Went a few times, but thats been years ago. It used to fill the parking lot to where they'd hand out pucks for bikes to park in the grass. Hundreds of bikes a few years back, but not sure it's still as big. Through the week is tough to go since its about 45 minutes away for us as well.
  2. To revive the color, try a spray-on upholstery/fabric paint. Just buy twice as much as you think you'd need, this stuff needs to go on liberally http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/midnight-black-simply-spray-upholstery-paint-827626/ For weatherproofing, use Nikwax http://www.google.com/search?biw=615&bih=369&site=webhp&tbm=shop&ei=7IIhVNWVD8auyATCo4GIBw&q=nikwax+fabric+waterproof+spray&oq=nikwax+fabric+waterproof+spray&gs_l=mobile-gws-serp.3..30i10.140909.142670.0.143116.7.7.0.0.0.4.680.2561.2-2j1j1j2.6.0....0...1c.1.53.mobile-gws-serp..5.2.661.bWqzUz7A1TI
  3. If you'd topped off the brake fluid while the old pads were worn down, and didn't bleed the system ( or drew out excess fluid from the res ) once you put on the new pads - the system could have been beyond full at that point. May be why fluid sprayed when you pulled the res cap
  4. This ^^^ Even with a fully insulated interior, it wouldn't be enough to heat the building. Dealership I work for has liquid floor heat in the shop's dyno room and wash bay since they aren't heated, and it does nothing to regulate room temps. And these are well insulated bays, too. The rest of the shop has NG radiant and it works great. Even with bay doors going up and down all day through the winter, it keeps the shop about 65 degrees on average. No idea what company installed the systems, but it's industrial sized equip since our building has 30 ft ceilings and 26 bays, so it was definitely expensive.
  5. So even if his weapon was holstered, it's considered brandishing just because it wasn't on his hip? I believe that's a technicality that could likely be argued against the word of a couple would-be thieves, especially since open carry is legal in Ohio right?
  6. Touche' And thanks again for the redirect just before Nelsonville. Thought I was further into the ride than I was at that point. I'll do better this time. Will have 2 GPS units and 2 smartphones to navigate by. So, if I cant get it right with that much help, I'm a lost cause
  7. Snap judgement call or not, I think Sam did himself and his neighbors a favor spookin the whiteys away. Given the recent history of the neighborhood, a cop would've definitely stopped and had a similar chat with them as well.
  8. I've rerouted the medium group's ride to avoid the Rt56 shutdown by taking 278 north to Canal St in Nelsonville, then south to Burr Oak Blvd to get to Rt78. I'll also jump across Summit St in Somerset to get between Rt13 and 668, this way we'll avoid the traffic circle in town. These couple jaunts will only shorten the route by about 8 miles total, but the only other options I see will add quite a bit of mileage to the ride, and this just makes it simpler. Are the other groups planning their reroutes the same way?
  9. If you like meeting other local riders, railing twisty backroads, and good BBQ.....you'll love it
  10. Kawasaki's make the best meat for a Harley sandwich
  11. Any plan for the reroute, or is there hope the road opens back up before next weekend? I'd just like to study the route and get it down as best I can beforehand, seeking redemption for the Spring ride's wrong turns
  12. Here's the W/SW ohio meet thread http://ohioriders.net/index.php?/topic/106015-2014-fall-epic-ride-meet-up-for-western-ohioans-92714/
  13. Derek, I'm now clear to make the ride - I've got a thread up for our side of Ohio. I'll lead our group again for those who want a medium pace. Hoping shadyone can make it to sweep for me again, he did an awesome job earlier this year.
  14. Logan area weather is forecasted to be perfect for the 27th....sunny with high of 77
  15. Sorry for the delay, but I had to get my work schedule covered before committing to this... Western/Southwestern Ohioans, let's meet at Competition Accessories Sept 27th between 7-730am and then head down the street to Shell gas station ( corner of Leffel Ln and Limestone St/Rt72 ) @ 730ish a.m. to pound coffee and fuel up before heading towards Logan by 8am SHARP. GPS estimates a 1-1/2hr slab ride to the meet spot, so 2 hrs should give us plenty of cushion to be on time. Competition Accessories 343 W Leffel Lane Springfield, OH 45506 There's a secondary meet point we'll plan to stop for just south of Columbus at GetGo Fuel Station, 3765 S Hamilton Rd, Groveport, OH 43125 -- our eta here should be about 9:15'ish a.m. So, for other riders not from our side of Ohio that want to meet up, hopefully this secondary meet locale will entice more to join us. We'll likely hit Millstone BBQ in Logan after the ride for dinner again if anyone would like to join us PLEASE chime in here if you're planning to join us so we'll get an idea of who to expect. I'll continue to modify this post to compile the roster. So far the CompAcc meet group is... Myself Snot wolfman cptchaos Tigerpaw Anden 3.504 claine650 Groveport meet group is... SOLD!!!

Ah, misread your post earlier that the EBR would be next in line for you. Interest is definitely piqued about the new build, text me the hush hush stuff.....I wont breathe a word of it to anyone
  17. The tank emblems are available, but look to be about $65 a side http://www.kawasakipartshouse.com/oemparts/a/kaw/500b2670f8700223e479050b/decals-en500-c6 The site I linked for paint will email you a quote if you email them the pic of the tank
  18. Sucks to hear, but I understand your bike's sentimental value. Heard good things about this place, but I've no personal experience. http://www.precisionmotorcyclepainting.com/ Albeit pricier than your run of the mill paint and body shops, but these guys perfect factory color matched paint schemes.
  19. Hopefully it can be controlled via meds of some sort so you wont have to give up riding completely. I'm not familiar with how/if it can be treated, but surely there are options. I dont ride a ton of miles every year, but I truly enjoy those that I do. Here's to hope, and wishing a positive prognosis to you
