^^^This. I'd heard rumor of a crash too, but it was just that....rumor. I'm sure the pros were pissed about the delay and track conditions after that. Parade laps should be done at the end of the day so there is a lot more time to address any issues like that without interference with the racing schedule.

His helmet had a shattered look graphic on it, but the scuff/grind just above the visor is where he said his head struck the street. I agree with looking into leather too as I currently wear textile, but seeing that Joe Rocket jacket burnt up makes me want leather even more now.

Likely a grade 8.8 metric M6 or M8. Penetrating oil bath and extractor kit would probably suffice, and gives you a reason to buy an extractor kit for any future issues. I like having reasons to buy new tools

^^This for track noobs^^ Be a sponge and soak up as much technique as you can, and do it slowly. No need to try and set records your first time out, you'll find your current limits quickly in the afternoon sessions ( if MidO CR's cut Novice loose in the afternoon sessions ). Just ride your own pace and be minful of other riders and your track position on turn entries and exits. It will be the best day you've ever had on 2wheels

Friend of mine sold his sportbike a few years ago and never got around to selling his gear. This is older stuff but still in great shape. Has had little use ( a few trackdays and a Deal's Gap weekend ), but there is some slight damage to the suit and helmet from a slow lowside. He doesn't want it split up, and would like to sell it as a complete set. He's asking $350 SHIPPED for it all. Teknic Chicane 1 piece. Size 40/50. Perforated panels. Fresh Joe Rocket pucks ( aside from the left puck touching down on his lowside ). One small tear at the left knee ( see pic below ). Otherwise in great shape except for a little light soil here and there from the grass excursion. The helmet is an older HJC Fusion 2 -- shows quite a bit of wear and the tag is missing inside but a smaller tag does show it's for hat size 7-3/8" to 7-1/2". Scuffed from the lowside and basically a freebie to whoever buys this gear. The gloves are leather Teknic gauntlets. Size small. In great shape with little use and no damage to them at all. The boots are Vega Nitro size 10. Again, very little use and in great shape except for the RH heel has a bit of melt from his highmount exhaust -- but it's virtually undectable when worn ( see pic below ). Gear bag is Kawasaki branded. Seems well made and has a plastic reinforced floor in it. Large bag, holds all of this gear with ease.

A friend's wife no longer rides and has some like new gear she's selling. PowerTrip Vintage ladies leather jacket. Size small. White leather exterior with silver leather inlays. Perforated shoulder blades, zippered vents in the arms and back, and adjustable straps on the sides to fine tune fitment at the waist. Like new, she'd only ridden with it a few times. Good luck Joe. Bright side is that your wife has financial position enough to allow you to be more selective in your hunt. Benefits are quite a big decision maker now days when multiple opportunities arise. Company I work for was recently bought out, but luckily we're profitable enough that they're not changing a thing ( yet ), they even bought the rights to our company's name due to the high position in the marketplace.
