This seems a good deal. I'm planning a 20" build as well and this would prove most handy

Hoping to get my garage insulated this year so cold temps wont be an issue out there in the future. I am liking the tender free idea too, then my riding mower wont feel so neglected because the bike is hogging the tender all winter Post up how you feel at the end of the season. If I get one, I'll likely post a review this fall. Thanx for the input fellas

This particular brand uses lithium ferrous phosphate (LiFePO4) cells which are a supposed improvement in comparison to Lithium polymer based batteries, making them far less likely to explode/meltdown. Sorry for thinking out loud folks, I'm learning as well as answering my own questions

http://www.ballisticparts.com/products/batteries/12cell.php Anyone running these in their bike? Albeit pricey, they boast it'll reduce my bikes weight by almost 12lbs, virtually double the burst CCA's to 410, being a dry state battery they can be installed in any position, and are less demanding to maintain since they hold their charge far better/longer. The 3 year warranty is appealing too. If they outlast their lead acid or AGM counterparts, I'm thinking this will be a good investment. Anyone have good/bad feedback on Lithium Ions?

Ecigs, vaporizers and other tobacco alternatives

Upgraded my setup last night. Nothing major, just went to the Aspire 2.4ml tank with 1.8ohm replaceable coils. Was only a couple bucks more than the disposables and I'll save money in the long run just replacing coils. The sales kid tried persuading me into the pyrex dual coil tanks, but I'm not planning on this being a new full time venture so this new setup will suffice. I'm only $100 deep on everything so far and have enough to last me until March -
Yeah I'm slow like a small bore cruiser and corner like a Harley on flats, now days......kind of like an old race horse, I'm great out of the gate but end up panting and stumbling by the first furlong

Thats because you NEED to be eating all the time there slim pickins! Hell, I bet you could climb through one of my pant legs -
Never sat on one personally, but they look long enough to accommodate a taller rider fairly easy with some straighter bars and forward controls. I know the fuel tank is too damn small. Less than 3 gallons if memory serves, but they're still cool lookin rides

Very interesting topic about hearing loss & motorcycles

I've never worn ear protection or ear buds when I ride. Though the droning exhaust tone does get old on long rides, I wouldn't wear anything in my ears so I could hear the bike and any surrounding sirens/horns/etc. After almost 20 years of playing in metal bands, my ears definitely aren't what they used to be. I only started wearing earplugs these last 5-6 years, and it made a huge difference. My ears used to ring off the hook after practice, or a show, for a couple days and until I made myself adapt to them, I almost couldn't tolerate playing guitar with them in my ears. Glad my wife enjoys yelling at me because she's in for a treat in 20 years when I'll be damn near deaf -
Sweeping's easy, but what about a shovel for those with limestone vagitis? ( ie, twat rocks )

Take the ad and the vin# into a local credit union, explain to them your intentions and see what they can do for you. Credit unions are usually fair to deal with and a good way to re-establish your credit if it's substandard, and 50% down may entice them to loan you the rest.

I looked into Speigler, but couldn't pass up the kit I found on ebay for Galfer's. $90 shipped for both front lines and a stock length rear. Surf the web, any of the makes mentioned above will be an improvement over Kawi's OEM lines and surely there are deals out there for your bike

Not sure of the sq footage of the crawl, but if you put in a dehumidifier wouldn't it just run 24/7 and continue to wick more moisture up through the crushed stone base in a never ending cycle?
-
We may do that. Snot and I enjoyed the STT day there last year, but would like to try a Duc Indy day too

No problem, and it doesn't really increase viscosity of the oil but does change it's adhesion quality. Seems to almost bond to itself and whatever is carrying it, which basically enables it to coat the metals at a higher rate than oil alone, if that makes sense. Hard to explain as I dont have the vocabulary to elaborate further. The best way to see it work are the little clear housed gear displays that let you spin by hand to compare it to standard oil. The stuff works and does it's job as advertised.

We bought some CRG facsimile shorty levers from China. Never ridden with them on the street, but love shortys on dirtbikes so the $65/pair was justifiable enough to try them out, just haven't got to yet with winter screwing us out of riding for a few more months. I'm sure I'll dig 'em. They've got to be better than the frequent smashing of my ring finger and pinky with the clutch lever at stops

Wow, missed this somehow. This bike has been well maintained since oldschool bought it and swapped out the powerplant. It is setup great from touring to trackdays. Buy with confidence, this is a good fella, folks. GLWS broseph!
