  1. 650 vtwin for an awesome starter bike with taller riders, and it's a keeper too. Suzuki SV650's are plentiful and inexpensive
  2. Gotcha, well dismiss then........not near fatbody enough to fit me
  3. Yeah, work has me tied up and then plans after work -- weekend is busy, but what about next week?
  4. Are the sizes you listed Euro or Amero?
  5. I'm intersted in the matte black carbon, but you don't come to Versailles anymore, so where around the Dayton area do you venture?

But what about us anal folk? We need it fixed please

Yeah, lowcel...that last pic should be lockwired over the top bolt if you're not drilling a 2nd hole
  8. Ahhh, yes.....my next step is a Connie, but I may still hang on to the hyper as long as my shoulders/wrists/back/ass can handle it
  9. It's probably more of a race/track thing? I did it on my YZF1000, but it was an old carbed '97 at about 135hp......not even close to the 185+hp and 114lbft I play with now.
  10. If you run WaterWetter in your street bike, you'll need to purge it in the winter months so nothing bursts from freeze ( unless it's stored in a heated garage ). These 14's have huge front fenders that take up space in front of the radiator. A common problem on these, so some owners swap it out with a ZX10 replacement fender. websearch it and you'll find quite a bit of talk/info -- Now, brackets to retrofit the ZX10 fender on the 14 may prove tough to find though. I looked into doing this years ago for my '08 but the only people manufacturing these brackets were other forum members and they wouldn't produce any without a group buy in to keep materials cheaper, so I didn't pursue it any further since then. If you go for it, let me know what you find. I'd still like to do this as it's supposed to help drop the temps a couple notches on the meter ( when rolling that is, not sitting in traffic - only help for that is WaterWetter, Engine Ice, or the like ).
  11. Once you do need to replace the chain/sprockets.....DO NOT convert your 14 to a 520 series, keep with the 530 on these brutes or the stretch will be worse and your risk of chain break increases
  12. The factory lube on new chains ( DID Xring Golds that I buy anyway ) appears to be just a simple lubriplate type of product thats job is likely only a rust inhibiter while it sits on the shelf moreso than offer extended protection while you're riding. Some guys prefer cleaning/oiling the chain, some of us prefer chain wax, others use simple WD40 ( just apply it more often ). I'm a chain wax fan since it seems to be lower maintenance with cleaning up fling and less frequent reapplication ( once every 800-1000 miles ). My 14 gets a kerosene and soft toothbrush/rag cleaning once a year every Spring, then I take it out for a spin to warm it before a light coat of chain wax - and I typically replace chain/sprockets around every 10k for MY peace of mind......I don't really monitor stretch other than just keeping my eye on how much adjustment I've had to do over the years, sprocket wear is usually nominal but I never replace a chain without replacing sprockets.....but that's my personal preference. Whatever you decide, just don't overdo it with any lubricant/wax and the fling wont be nearly as bad, but it's generally inevitable once the chain is warm and you hit highway speeds anyway. Basic nature of the beast with chain driven bikes
  13. If disposable douche nozzles were made of bone, what did they make dildos out of....granite? If so, stone age chics were some hardcore ladies slammin' bones and rocks in their beaves

Warmers wont be a necessity at Novice pace. If MidO follows an STT-like program, there are slower parade laps at the beginning of each session that will heat your tires adequately. Someone with actual experience at a MidO Novice day can elaborate, but I'm pretty sure you wouldn't need any.Could be a nice luxury, and maybe affirmate more confidence in your tires though.
  15. "carved out of bone" ?? So, is that where the term boner was coined?

Q2's can still be had and relatively cheap by the set. Good tires for Novice/Int riding. My wife ran her stock IRC's at Putnam last year, they didn't do too bad after heating up but she's only got 40hp so they weren't being tested too hard anyway. Be ready for a new addiction!
  17. Somehow I missed this over the weekend. Sorry to all that have lost loved ones to the filthy c word. To date, I've lost my Grandpa, Step Dad, 2 aunts, and an uncle to this nasty disease. My deepest condolences, and sincerest empathy goes out to you all
  18. Sign up and join us for the trackday at MidO for July 18th. There is no better way to upgrade your skillset and learn what your bike can really do than a trackday can teach you. A pile of us OhioRiders will be there and I'd rather not be one of the only other hypersport riders there
  19. ^^^ Now THAT's smart business management ^^^
  20. fellow 14 rider. Love mine, just when you'd think it was out of power it just keeps pulling and pulling......they are a blast to ride for sure.
  21. I have a couple buddies that let us use their private land, but I'm a local Fish n Game member too. There's supposed to be a long range at Dawg Valley Gun Club in Covington Ohio that is reaching out to 800 yds. Planned to join last year, but never got around to it. I may look into that this year and see if the long range is ready yet.
  22. Does anyone know where to find last years thread? I've searched epic ride and dream ride with no result other than this thread. Want to find the route from last year. We are talking about meeting/finishing in Logan and riding Hocking valley correct? Disregard. Found it in the other thread
  23. The level of THC in a person's bloodstream varies in the abundance of use/abuse, bodyfat content, and like Tyler said everyone is different so it may not breakdown as quickly in some as it does others. I used to know guys that would smoke like trains for months, quit for several days to cleanout before a drugscreen and pass no problem, whereas heavier guys that rarely touch it would still test dirty after a couple weeks. Apparently the chems tend to remain in fat longer? I've not researched it to find any whole truths, so it may be a bogus claim, but that's the trend I've personally witnessed
  24. No doubt. If I went to the grocery there'd only be Blue Moon, coffee, and meat in the fridge. But if I went to the grocery high as balls, there'd be an entire display rack of Little Debbies and Mike Sells at home in the kitchen
