  1. We first heard about the Liquid Image Ego HD camera when it was announced back in January, and we’ve been looking forward to getting our hands on one ever since. The initial word was that it would have a low price-point and feature built-in Wi-Fi capabilities, as well as a host of other features straight out of the box. Well, the Ego showed up at the Riders Discount office earlier this week and we can confirm that our original impression was spot on. The Liquid Image Ego, like any camera of this type, is designed to record you or your friends in action so you can watch or share it later. This one gives you the choice of recording in two HD modes - 1080p at 30fps, or 720p at a super smooth 60fps. You’re also able to take 12 megapixel images individually, or in a continuous multi-shot mode. These video/imaging features are comparable to other action cams, but the Ego does it at a much lower price. In addition to the value, this camera really sets itself apart from the competition with its ease of use and the built-in Wi-Fi. All features of the camera are controlled using two buttons on the top of the body. The first is the power/mode button and the second is the shutter/select button. A small LCD readout splits the two buttons and gives you basic information like shooting mode, Wi-Fi status, battery life, etc. There is also a convenient LED light on the front that changes colors depending on the mode so that you can easily tell if it is set to your liking at a glance. Controlling all the features with just two buttons may sound a little confusing to those that haven’t used a camera of this type before, but it really only takes minutes to get the hang of it. One of the best features of this camera is that you can connect it to your iPhone, iPad or Android smartphone via the free ActionConnect app. This app not only allows you to use your phone as a viewfinder when setting it up to record, but also lets you wirelessly transfer your video files to your device or directly to social media sites like Facebook and Youtube. This type of mobile connectivity is available on other cameras, but the competition is not only significantly more expensive, but some also require additional modules to be able to connect in this way. The Ego is available in your choice of black, red, white, blue or yellow and it ships with all you need to get recording. This means that you get the camera, a mount, an extra adhesive pad, a USB cable, and a protective face cover. A wide variety of accessories will also be available very soon. Options like a fully waterproof case, suction cup mount, external battery pack, Wi-Fi range extender will help make this even an more versatile camera than it already is. We will be sure to update the post with more details when they arrive. If you’re interested in a high-quality action camera that has a ton of great features at an extremely competitive price, be sure to contact Nathan at Riders Discount today! You can reach him by calling 866.931.6644 ext. 809, or by sending a PM through the forum. Feel free to send an email if that is more convenient as well. Those can be sent to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM, and we’ll get back to you right away! The Liquid Image Ego camera is available in black, as well as red, white, blue and yellow. The included USB cable allows you to charge and transfer files to your computer if you aren’t connected via Wi-Fi. A mini-HDMI port also lets you connect to any HDMI display for viewing on a large screen. All features are easily controlled by the two buttons and the LCD readout tells you all the basic info you need about how it is set at any given time. The front LED displays a different color for each shooting mode and flashes when recording. Turn on the Wi-Fi and you can connect the Ego to your iPhone, iPad, or Android device for advanced shooting options, wireless file transfers and a viewfinder. MSRP $179.95 The Ego comes with a splash proof front protector. If you need something completely waterproof you can also order an optional waterproof case.
  2. I do miss Microcenter. Used to go there all the time when I was at OSU.
  3. excellent link! The main problem I have is understanding the lingo to make sure what I'm purchasing will work together. Is there an easy way to understand this or key things to make sure of before committing to purchase?
  4. Other thing to consider when changing tires/brands is that you're changing geometry as well.
  5. With onboard graphics now, is it possible for me to upgrade later when/if i do decide to go dual monitor? Let's change it up a bit and allow for a video card with a ~$600 budget. I already have a Windows 7 disc in waiting so that should alleviate some cost.
  6. I was just confused since the bike listed in your "garage" under your name is the 7R even though you requested the ZX7.
  7. At this time I don't have any toe sliders available for the ST
  8. The Alpinestars Fall 2012 line is starting to make it’s way over from Europe and the first to arrive here at Riders Discount was the brand new Montreal shoe. Similar in style to the popular Alpinestars F1 driving shoe, the Montreal is constructed using a synthetic leather upper that gives it a nice, clean look and keeps it super-lightweight. This soft upper is quite comfortable and provides ventilation through the perforated side panels. More comfort comes from the dual-density, shock absorbing sole. A speed lace system pulls everything together for a quick and precise fit. Alpinestars didn’t design the Montreal with protection and support of a riding boot, but it is a great looking casual shoe in either the all black or black/grey. These are so new that they aren’t listed on our website yet, so be sure to get in touch with Nathan if you’re interested. You can call him at 866.931.6644 ext. 809, or send him a PM through the forum. If email is more convenient, feel free to send one to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away! The Alpinestars Montreal shoes shown here in all black. They also come in a black/grey (photos coming soon.) MSRP $109.95
  9. A large shipment of Mach 5 bags today showed up today. Give me a call or shoot me a PM today to get yours today! 866-931-6644 Ext. 809
  10. Our original post on the Sidi ST boots featured photos of the perforated Air version, but we do have the standard boots in stock and ready to ship if you don't quite need that much air-flow. Just remember that these are not listed on the Riders Discount website yet, so you'll have to get in touch with Nathan to order yours. Feel free to give him a call at 866.931.6644 ext. 809, or send him a PM through this forum. You can also send an email to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we'll get back to you right away! The Sidi ST boots are shown here in black. We also have them available in white. Here's a comparison between the standard Sidi ST and the ST Air. The standard may not have the heavy perforations, but it does still feature the adjustable side vents.
  11. The new Icon helmets are going to be in the same 3.5lbs weight ballpark as the other middle-high end helmets such as the RS-1, X-12, Corsair V (these are actually closer to 4lbs), etc... They are moving away from the big and bulky stereotype. Regardless, the other options listed here are also plenty good and we can help with any of them.
  12. I can't personally compare to the Latigo, but I wear a 44 Teknic Xcelerator normally, and I was wearing a 42 that fit very similar albeit a hair long in the legs.
  13. Good luck with those harder compound tires
  14. Riders Discount Vesrah Suzuki AMA pro racers Cory West, Joey Pascarella and Jake Lewis have been wearing custom Cortech suits all season, but these suits will no longer be exclusively available to the pros. Called the Adrenaline, this suit is going to offer A LOT of bang for the buck, and it will be available soon. We got our hands on a couple of them a little early and thought we’d give you a quick preview. Keep an eye out for our full review in a few weeks when the suit is fully stocked and ready to ship. The Cortech Adrenaline will be available in Black... Red, and Blue (photos coming soon).
  15. Just sent you a PM Yea it would look pretty baller. The OR discount is a great price offered on all our products for excellent forum members like yourself PM sent
  16. Yamaha's have a diagnostic mode (or they should). I would run through this real quick and check your safety switches (neutral, kickstand, clutch) to see if the computer sees what you see. I had a similar problem where it would crank and crank but never caught. Everything checked out, except for the main relay that all these safety switches run through, that turned out to be broken. Replaced said relay, and it started right up.
  17. WHOA! you do not put the Ballistic batteries on battery tenders. You need a special charger to balance charge them or run the risk of ruining the battery. At most you put the tender on for 10-15 minutes if it's completely dead and you're in a pinch, no more. They shouldn't even need a charge and are drop in and go.
  18. We converted our 2012 Suzuki GSX-R600 into an AMA Supersport spec race bike earlier this year and it is time to clean the shop. This means that we have a complete set of brand new bodywork available in the OEM color Sparkle Black. No time was wasted in transforming this bike into a track machine, so these parts have never seen the road outside of a trailer. They have been stored in a clean shop since being taken off. The kit includes: - Upper w/ headlight, mirrors and windscreen - Front Fender - Left and right side fairings - Complete tail section w/ light, signals, seat and rear fender - Does NOT include any fasteners We are looking to sell it as a complete set at this time, and it can all be yours for $1500 shipped anywhere in the lower 48 states. Get in touch with Nathan if you’re interested by calling 866.931.6644 ext. 809, or by sending him a PM through the forum. If email is more convenient, feel free to send one to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away! Complete upper with headlight and windscreen. (Mirrors also included, but not pictured) Side fairings with carbon look trim pieces. Complete tail section with light, signals, seat and rear fender.
  19. The price of quality leather gear seems to keep climbing, but this is not the case at Speed and Strength. They were able to put out a nice suit for a very competitive price, and that suit is the Twist of Fate 2.0. Speed and Strength built upon the success of their original Twist of Fate and designed the new version with even more protection and comfort in mind. What they ended up doing was upping the quality in both of those key areas, while still managing to keep the price of the 2.0 the same as the outgoing original. The first thing you notice when you slip into the Twist of Fate 2.0 suit is that it feels broken in right off the bat. This is because Speed and Strength made this suit very flexible through the use of Schoeller® Keprotec® panels. This stretchy material is soft and comfortable while still remaining very durable. These panels are found running under the arm and on the back of the lower leg. There is even a narrow piece that extends from the arm up to the collar. You will also find the familiar accordion style stretch panels in the lower back and sides. Additional comfort features include mesh material at each wrist and ankle. This lightweight mesh helps the suit fit comfortably under your gloves/boots and it won’t bunch up. It also helps keep you cool – which is never a bad thing. Cooling up top is provided by the abundant perforation found all over the torso. All in all, these features add up to a very comfortable suit. Having a comfortable suit is great, but this doesn’t mean a thing if it won’t protect you in the event of a crash. This is why Speed and Strength also focused on keeping safety while they were designing the Twist of Fate 2.0. This suit uses a 1.4mm cowhide frame that is held together with genuine Kevlar® threaded seams that Speed and Strength calls H.I.S.S (High Impact Safety Seams). Moving inside the suit you’ll find CE approved shoulder, hip, knee and elbow protectors from Knox. High-density foam is found behind the leather in many areas to add a little extra protection to the more sensitive areas. The MotoGP inspired elbow guards are Knox armor that has been sandwiched in this high-density foam before being sewn into place. This insures that they will stay in place and absorb more energy if the need to. A Knox unit also provides back protection, but it is an insert and we recommend upgrading to a higher quality, full coverage back protector if you plan on hitting the track. The Speed and Strength Twist of Fate 2.0 is a suit that offers a lot of bang for the buck, so be sure to get in touch with Nathan if you’re interested. You can give him a call at 866-931-6644 ext. 809, or you can send a message to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM and we’ll get back to you right away. The Speed and Strength Twist of Fate 2.0 in white. Plenty of perforation to help keep you cool. A stretch panel extends from the underarm to collar for comfort and flexibility. A custom Speed and Strength suit could be seen on RidersDiscount.com owner Brian Gibson during the AMA weekend at Road America this year.
