  1. Vfr1200 is one of the most underrated bike out there. I been looking for good deals and never got one with timing and location lined up. By launch lot of vfr1200 was bought by folks who were expecting something else, and then subsequent years sales were hurt by unintelligent mainstream uninformed reviews and the "mass hysteria" from riders who bad mouthed it weight to size to looks everything. Hence lot of initial models for sale and less of next years. As far as I remember the 1, 2nd gear restriction was the major quirk which was fixed with pc/bomb/exhaust etc. risers + good seats and the bike will eat miles. It was more narrow neck than my old 800 felt lighter and more powerful. Single sided swing arm and no chain. Good abs and even better braking, the finish was 5x better than euro premium brands, you have to see a well kept bike to understand how ridiculously better was the red / blue/ black colors were in person. I felt Honda threw there best game ball with this bike and it didn't click just because the premium pricing for a jap Honda + media + social rider club. All wanted a smaller faster stylish bike, but this bike is the ultimate real world riders answer to best single bike in garage concept. If ever things line up one day I will own one myself, before that I have another bike to experiment with which could beat this guy in my minds ocd battle category.
  2. holy crap, this is absolutely terrible He is one of the nicest person in OR and was taking care of himself real good by doing all the right things like diet exercise etc. Got to talk with him a lot during our last ride and got to know how good of a person he is behind the screen persona. All prayers and good wishes to him and his family from the bottom of my heart. Tonik keep us posted. (Tonic can you pm me his last name?, i just know his first name)
  3. I think He wants more
  4. Are u thinking what I am thinking. Which is I am not thinking about I can't think about it.
  5. Good thing he survived, wonder how many bikes he is gonna get in the near future.
  6. U should be happy u didn't have abs Servo linked brakes
  7. shoot i saw this post after i typed and posted mine lol was not referring to your post T
  8. the whole episode lasted only 2 - 3 sec, u did the right thing Pauly. I thought he was looking generally in our way as well but kinda the driver was frozen or didnt even realize we were there, and he was just drifting across. As you said " need to get to church" was his sole aim at that point. And again the camera makes it look like all things happened farther away and distant but the actual distance was less than 100ish feet, and you could have spit and hit the passenger despite full face helmet But this is better post event analysis, no artificial rage, no mirror breaking, no psycho drama scaring cagers ...because OR we ride fast, we take chances ... stats add up... numbers catch up... i say majorly out fault for enjoying this way on public roads and slightly his fault for having a licence. All in all good day of ride and lets try to push the envelope safely
  9. In OR the underlying subtle Euracist attitude to motorcycles (as in unreliable euro trash belief) and obvious fetish to asian humans is a wonderful study of paradox psychology. The sole binding factor is the flavor for unanimous harley bashing and contempt for non unique cheapanese big 4. All in all a motorcycle forum that kinda hates all motorcycles but loves to ride like lunatics on any of the above machines they can get
  10. just putting up video of pauly trying to split a van the other ride just putting the video here as well
  11. yea this is still low for this bike, around 6-7. To get more boost i should be up in the 8-10 range. The sound on this recording doesnt do justice to the bike. The "whine" of this triple is both futuristic-sonic speed kinda awesome and annoying at the same time. I really need to get used to that and also go one gear down and get over it and forget the sound. (or put in a ridiculously low offer on an exhaust on ebay and see if it bites lol ) Completely different from my previous bike. every time i learn one bike and get used to it i end up jumping ships.
  12. if i was "what" what would i do, what thats.. a cbr with ohlins..... sounds delicious i guess and already sprung for similar weight i wish more and more peeps would do "GMNB" threads so they forget the first asshat one forever hahaha
  13. yea its a different bike up there, great street bike low down and good supersport higher up Whats the next poison your looking at if not for the fz10? or just getting a different trackie? there is only one bike i can see myself on next year if i feel like experimenting. Waiting for good deals on that in a year or two. And only once i sell both bikes will i buy new ones
  14. that guy was a total noob but introduced himself as" done track days" and stuff, and my fault for not emphasizing to him to stay put and behind thinking it will offend him. this is why i like UP/ pauly etc, they tell you straight to your face if your dangerous and go back of the line or even go home. Well both of us payed the price. He is not gonna ride any more and i dont extend open invites to folks I really dont know like i used to
  15. Loving it so far, miss the big engine tourque to catapault out of corner which was my favorite part of riding. Now relearning this bike which I will need to learn to carry more entry speed and keep rpm much higher, which I have to get used to the screaming engine first. overall Among the many one night stand this is the one I am saving the number next to vstrom. Exactly, it's a tricky road to learn since the corner geometry keeps changing and making it hard to find the rythm. But couple more runs and I will have a photo memory if 255 gets paved we can keep looping that circle all day long. Don't really like going south of either of these roads though, I am a big fried brown chicken when it comes to downward slope and hard turns
  16. Ty, you and @JustinNck1 need to move to Michigan for a year to really appreciate where you guys live Exactly, in the videos it all looks smooth and like 40mph curves, but 536 is almost as good as any dragon area roads at its present condition. I almost feel bad for peeps who miss such great roads in seo and keep spending ton of money for weekend down at gap. Mainly Michigan folks who can have a splendid weekend in seo. I am gonna ask some of my old Michigan guys if they be interested in a weekend trip like that, and may be introduce them to Justin and Eod
  17. Part of ride through 536
  18. Hahaha nah, just was lazy to get to Pauly last week Yea previous owner was gentleman who just commuted mostly it seems. On the ride home I was sitting on one side and bike slanted to their side to avoid the middle patch. Lol
  19. looks like a reward comparable to mini me
  20. Excellent pics and report, thx again for sharing B man.
  21. on a side note, didnt get time to check the video yet, hopefully have the video of pauly trying to hitch a ride inside the mini van and most importantly havent been on 536 after new pavement 536 is so beautiful 255 is but once this road gets paved, its going to be amazing
