Nothing set in stone yet, depending on weather (as of now looks like 70 ) and my off day Planning on heading down from MI rochester hills > detroit> toledo>bowling green> fostoria >willard (fun road from here on)> loudonville> millersburg>coshocton> caldwell and then back Just wanted to see if any one around upper north west ohio or anywhere riding or interested to tag along. I start early from home by the time i reach back its after sunset and 700+ miles clocked. Thats why i cant go further south east Pace is close to 10+ on straight and mod-fast on twisty to make time. If at all any one interested we can keep in touch through pm and come up with a solid plan by tomorrow if things work out okay.

What route will u be taking when heading back? I might just meet you guys for the last 1/4 th of the ride. Not sure yet, just planning Do you plan on riding that day? Coz I might be passing through close by lol

Hahahaha any gear will give you electro shock if you ride in monsoon rain and 40 degrees lol But seriously I don't know much about other gear, I never had "hot spot" with this gear and heating has been uniform

Don't remember the exact price now bought couple of years ago through revzilla when they had some promotion going on. It was pricey than the comparison for sure but worth it at that time. Glove liner,remote WiFi controller, option to switch to less watt usage etc

I second that, my q4 was having trouble staying on, they replaced within 10 days without any hiccups

Heated gear was one of the best money I spent I went with power let as they had heated glove liner which I could use with my own winter gloves. nah, u good. Some one with experience should always warn the noobs like me . I dont want to turn this into a big fiasco, all i wanted to do was design and put up some thing. I guess i will just take it down. Truth of the matter is no body is going to see this thing, no one really cares about the ride except for the core people that attend the ride most times. Why take a risk with no benefit to any one.

thats so complicated The beauty of this ride was its simplicity. No politics, no money, no charity no nothing, The only thing that bought us together was the passion to ride and meet more new faces. And i believe every one who came out to ride also felt the same way. This is nothing more than a weekend group ride which we trying to celebrate by making it more social. Heck not even a major event when less than 100 core people shows up. Hardly any strangers, most are friends and others friends of friends. Each and every person who showed up owns the ride and responsible for it, there is no registration, rules to follow and laws we make. And i am sure every one involved would like to keep it this way and maintain this pure simplicity of the ride. If they wanted to join an organization/charity based ride there are dime a dozen i suppose. Only aim for the site was when we invite others not from the forum community to provide them more information. By me putting up a website providing information to the ride to a wider audience makes me legally involved in this, i will take it down to prevent making it more complicated and target of more law suits.

Thats scary, but so hard to understand. If no one owns the ride and no organization is behind it who would they sue? Every one including me are participants. The website just provides information, no registration system, doesn't collect any money or information from any one? There are no proof that any one was part of this ride nor any one responsible for it etc Are there any wording precaution to take? Or there is "no common sense rules" just be on the safe side and stop doing this?

What happened? I don't understand any of the logistics behind these things one thing I made sure was avoid the mph thingy on the description part. Other wise what else should I look out for?

After seeing the distinguished ride thingy i thought why not make up some thing for the epic ride as well. It will be easier to tell others outside the forum, sort of one stop for all information regarding the ride, and also give it some sort of legitimacy Only thing i wanted to highlight was the ride being open to all and no "cyclism" (no discrimination based on your motorcycle lol ) here. i been using it for the haul thru freeways during those D to Seo one day trips. it serves the purpose for its price. It holds the pace for 5 to 10 mins just enough for a rest for the right hand, I dont think any one is looking to go hours on a motorcycle with a cruise control. Regarding the kaoko make sure it goes with the helibars (i cant imagine how it would not) as some forums were mentioning that.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is specifically for these types of bikes as it is a piece of theater as much as it is a ride. The specific, niche look of the bikes matches the ‘dapper’ theme. If you don’t have one of the bikes described, you can always help in other ways, such as with fundraising. We do apologize but ultimately opening the events to the broader 2 wheeled community would be unmanageable.

i installed heli on vfr the other day....... hoooolyyyyyy shiiiit what a pain .... but for me it was taking the dampners off the stock and cutting off the banjo tabs. Pretty much rest was okay. agree with mx the instruction from heli peeps were written by monkeys with sharp objects, great vfr community support and amazing DIY posts made it easier for me.
