  1. I wish Midwest and STT had closer events. We travel far for Road Atlanta with N2 but most trips are within 3-4 hours which I suppose is why I stick with them. Il have to go to one of those Midwest days with you this year Rusty.
  2. If NonAznTim goes then he will have a spot in the trailer but im not sure if hes going yet. Other than that its open for whoever wants to travel down. I also have the bed of the truck which can fit a bike, maybe two. But then someone would need to take a car down so there would be enough seats.
  3. I will probably leave Friday morning early and then get back early AM Monday. Figure 11 hours one way after stopping for fuel, food, whatever. idk who is riding with who.
  4. GM is coming out with a DOHC small block. I think it will be for the vette only, atleast for now. http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/future-cars/news/a32059/leaked-documents-say-the-corvette-gets-a-dohc-v8-in-2018/
  5. I got a ram this time around. I liked my 1500 Laramie so I got a 2015 2500 Laramie with the Cummins with 20k on it. Its a nice feeling knowing it has a warranty, was always uneasy with the other truck not knowing what might happen. But that moves the toy hauler back to February of next year :/ oh well. There is also alot of little things I like about the Cummins over the powerstroke and dmax.
  6. Not sure what else that could be. I borrowed a truck with the 5.4 once to go to mid ohio and about 2 minutes from the track it had a misfire. Thankfully I found a shop beside a NAPA store and they got it fixed within a half hour, was a bad coil.
  7. I wish lol, just a nicer newer truck. The old one was having head gasket issues that I didnt want to deal with. It will be nice to get in after a hot track day and turn on the AC seats, missed having those.
  8. Picked up a new tow vehicle last week, so should be a little more comfortable on the long drives. Unfortunately it sets back my toy hauler aspirations another year :/
  9. You will want to ignore most of the stuff from RA. That was 2 years ago and I have learned much since then.
  10. The aim has predictive times as well, it can be displayed as you go around the track. And you can over lay the gps data on a video.
  11. The only laps worth anything are probably summit point anyways.
  12. Il be honest, its quite an investment for a timer. But its worth it when you arent messing around trying to create a new track, trying to get a few pieces of hardware working from ebay or if nobody has a beacon out for the XT. Plus the solo also has some of my laps in it for you.
  13. Im the opposite where I ran a gsxr for 2 years and it was ok, but got on an R6 and loved the riding position.
  14. My gsxr was BOS, no title was totaled in Tennesse and some how tuna got ahold of it. But my cbr had a title and my r6 is certificate of origin since it was never titled.
  15. Maybe not "alot" but I bet you would be surprised if you looked to see how many VINs were ground off in a paddock.
  16. As long as the vin isn't listed in the add you don't have much to worry about it don't think. Alot of track bikes were probably stolen at some point, of course most were just totaled.
  17. Ron has some experience with vin searches, maybe he will chime in.
  18. The AIM is the way to go for ease of use and getting basic data like Ron said. The gpx pro I have can be used as a dash as it has a tach and logs all the bike parameters as well, and can do suspension travel, brake pressure etc... but it's a pita to setup a new track and starting points. The aim can plug into the ecu of the bike and log some things but it's kidna limited.
  19. I have an aim solo for sale if anyone is interested. I wired a gpx pro into the r6 for more data logging.
  20. I am going to pick up one or two at the end of the month. Im not as big of a fan of twilights, depending on the time of year.
  21. BTW the mid ohio gift certs are on sale 15% off until the end of the year.
