Great idea for a thread. I am struggling to get things together for barber. The bike has been ready for weeks but the truck started to leak coolant from the area of the radiator. So I got a new OEM one amazon and put it in as well as new thermostats just because, the radiator was damaged from shipping but I figured I would try it out. Once I got the truck to temp it started leaking and I could hear the bearings in the alternator going bad so I had to take that radiator out and they sent another radiator next day air and I ordered an alternator. I got the new radiator yesterday and it showed up with a hole in the box but I figured I didn't have much of a choice and it started leaking with no pressure in the coolant system. I am not sure if the leak originated from the radiator or trans cooler lines so I am picking up new trans cooler lines tonight and buying a radiator from somewhere local and will change all the lines and radiator and alternator wednesday. But if I cant get all that thrown together then it looks like I will be staying home this weekend... And I hit a deer in the 350z on the way to work today Atleast I am getting real good at changing radiators in dmax trucks.

My situation is not a normal one haha. You just have to know how to play the game. She buys me a track day package at Christmas as my only present, then I HAVE to go use up all the days that she bought or they go to waste. And yes she would be... I need to get on that.

You could take your bike and go to Jennings. Women seem to like track days until you get married and the money to pay for them comes out of their pockets.

Then armorbodies or sharkskins imo. I have armor bodies on the R6 and they are very nice. But I'm also used to really patched together body work so they would probably all be real nice.

Optimal is the direction I would go if I was looking to get bodywork.

I wont have them until Friday or Monday, they were shipped from out west yesterday. The sole already has a hole worn in it so I might hate them. But I can get them re done by A* for $100.

BTW I picked up a set of those supertech boots. I found a used pair for $150 that was a year old but needs re soled. So I will wear them the rest of the year and sent them to get re done over the winter.

They are going to give me whatever is left over to bring back up here and hand out.

I have heard alot of complaints about the A* but mine are solid after 30(ish) track days a couple races thrown in there and 4 crashes. However I am going to replace them with a set of custom heroic gloves over the winter.

I cant wait to ride again... I still have space in the trailer if someone is interested. N2 will be handing out some stickers for Ryan to everyone to put on their bikes.

As mentioned in the thread before the thing to do is to stock up on Mid Ohio gift certificates while they are on sale over the winter. In the past you could avoid a late fee by using a gift cert however it was hit or miss this year as to whether or not you could avoid the late fee. Regardless you are still getting a good deal by buying the gift certs.

Some racing orgs only allow oem filters at this point. I have had 2 fail on me, one of which caused this. Also holy cow I was slow....

I picked up a GPX PRO timer for the R6 and im excited to try it out at Barber. I still need to wire it into the ECU, and also add in the GPX break out box and brake pressure sensor. Pretty excited to have all that data available, as long as I actually use it.
