There is ALWAYS more to learn! You should try out a track day some time. N2 will allow a first timer 2 free sessions on the track in the novice group, and if you want to stay for the rest of the day you can but have to pay for the day. Its a great way of being introduced to the addiction. We have coaches on here from Sportbike Track Time and Mid Ohio as well that would answer any questions you have with those organizations.

Got them used for $150. They are a little snug but I think they will work ok.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from Barber. As always it looks like I am out for a sunday drive instead of being on a track. Atleast I match in my dope "new" Supertech boots. http://www.highsidephoto.com/p662020837/h3a9ab426#h3a9ab426 http://www.highsidephoto.com/p662020837/h191c466f#hed9a8f7 http://www.highsidephoto.com/p662020837/h122c3c70#h122c3c70 http://www.highsidephoto.com/p662020837/h15eab7bd#h3c433216 http://www.highsidephoto.com/p357519871/h35cb19a0#h35cb19a0

I never had the pleasure of being evaluated by him. Feel like I am missing out.

GSXR is gone. Its been too long since I got to ride... must.... find.... track day....

I will also say that it's not the easiest thing in the world to get bumped with N2. It took Ron and Ryan 2 days last year, but some CRs are easier to get the bump from than others.

Buying 12 today.

Just make your ol lady wash cloth diapers. It's not easy doing this stuff with a new born, but not impossible either.

Its hard for me to get away easter weekend. But when the wife gives permission I dont bring it up again. Heck ya, who doesnt want to go 80mph for 30 seconds straight?
-
The answer to that question from the director was "Ya thats puke. Ryan had a burger that didnt agree with him last night." and as we looked around there were there were multiple liquor bottles and beer cans strewn around the pit. And then Brandon brought a trash can over and sat it on top of the puke and the problem was solved. The whole weekend isnt really a mess like this, but it rained all year last year so.....

Are you tired of those 600s blowing past you while you park your 1000 in the turns? This is the time for your revenge as this track features a 5000ft back straight, yes just shy of a mile long so you can pass any 600 with ease. As this is the first event of the year for most it normally includes many drunken bonus features such as getting thrown out of a moving vehicle while telling the driver of the vehicle you can do better burnouts than them, getting shut off by the bartender at 6pm or maybe even covering up the previous nights dinner with a trash can as the Director stops over and asks "is that puke". You too can be tossed from a diesel pickup truck at 25mph if you just sign up for a couple track days with N2. I am positive someone will have room to help haul all your crap down south for a great start to the track season!

They were at Barber for track side support. So I just had to walk over

Oh and while we were down there I almost ran into my buddy Matt Bacola. There was a red flag so we came around into hot pit to go back out. When we go back into Charlottes web I go to hit the brakes and the lever goes back to my fingers and I have no brakes. I moved my hand off the bar and was able to get the bike slowed with the lever against the bar. I go into hot pit and see the adjuster was moved, so I move it back. 2 laps later the same thing happened so I came in and the adjuster had moved again, I took the old vortex lever off and went over to Marietta Motorsports and bought a stock one. The stock lever has WAY better feel than the Vortex ever did and hopefully it doesnt try to put me in the hospital.

Barber is awesome... wish I had got some videos. Still trying to recover from that drive home....

Not yet, but I probably will, if not it will be a 6 day.

To say it was a struggle to get there this past weekend would be an understatement.... lots of late and cold nights working on the truck to get everything ready to go. I wasent even sure we were going to leave on Thanksgiving. I was diving the truck around trying to get air out of the system and kept filling the expansion tank back up. We decided we would leave and if the low coolant light came on within an hours drive that we would go back home. We never saw the light but somewhere in Tennessee we saw that a hose was leaking, there was a crack at the end. So we cut the end off of it and put it back on and no more leaks. You really cant get a grasp for how awesome barber is from a video. Its probably slower than it looks, but the elevation change and camber that some of the turns have make it all worth it. It was cols and I had never been there so I did some sighting laps saturday and in the afternoon ran a 1:41 I think. Then Sunday I ran a 1:38 and I know where I can make up enough time to probably get into the 36s, with a new tire who knows how much time would drop. But I had a blast and look forward to going back again. Also my Buddy "NonAznTim" got bumped from I to A on the last session and we got to go ride together which was fun. He was running in the 1:45 range and hadent even ridden in a year and a half.

Looks like rain on Sunday and the track may not be the best with a high of 65 and lows in the 40s but we will have fun regardless.
