  1. Just registered for Advanced for the 8th of October.
  2. Congrats on the new best. I was taking it easy in the morning, new bike on tires I had never been on before. But in the afternoon I got more comfortable and ran a new PB of 1:44.0, I think I know where I could improve, but also couldnt find a tow all day. Will probably go to advanced next time around to try to learn more, but for a shake down on a new bike with a less than stellar rear tire I was more than happy with the results.
  3. Decided to change my mind and spend the extra $. Will take it easy all day and get familiar with the new bike. Will have to register there in the morning. I imagine it wasn't very busy?
  4. I would love to be there to test out the new bike but won't have the extra cash....
  5. After a long day she is at her new home. You can tell by the garage that I have issues.
  6. Il be there in an hour to pick it up.
  7. At this point Intermediate and Advanced are sold out. Im not sure how many are in each group. Im not sure how many are in a group at motoseries, but we had 35 advanced riders "not counting control riders" at an N2 day at PIRC which is 1.3 miles long. Which did turn into a cluster lol.
  8. Sorry to hear John, looks like it might just be Tim and I.
  9. No racing as usual for me but the second to last session I got a tow from Brandon and we were scooting. Dropped a ton of time and was probably the most fun I have had on the track yet.
  10. Sorry to hear that Rusty, get well soon buddy.
  11. ohhh I thought it had to have one on the side. That must be a Rhill special. FYI the parking that was in the gravel was unavailable with N2 2 weeks ago, it is all tore up for construction. Save me a spot if you can il be there Saturday morning.
  12. The only things I have safety wired is pinch bolts, drain plug, rad cap and oil filter. I also dont have a kill switch or the extra $ for my license plus races this weekend haha.
  13. I wanted to do it this round, but my bike needs a couple things to pass race tech. I also dont have a transponder and even though I went through race school I didnt buy my license yet. I will give it a shot at the start of next year. I do look forward to trying it out though.
  14. I still havent registered for Saturday. Forecast has me a little iffy, but I need to get some track time with these Pirellis on a track im familiar with before going to Kentucky next month.
  15. Haha sure is a small world. They used to live in Akron and I met them through a car club. Still talk to them pretty frequently.
  16. Was thinking of doing my first race this round but not sure il have the extra cash.
  17. They did call an additional meeting. If I recall correctly they said to "Get your heads out of your asses."
  18. My fried Tim was running 1:10 and 1:11s in novice then once bumped to intermediate was able to run in the 1:09 range and was faster than about half of intermediate. Advanced was pretty full all day as well, they had 31 registered not counting the control riders. I would attribute most of that to the WERA races the following weekend and everyone wanting some practice. I was only running in the 1:04 range later in the day and had to pull off twice to try to stay out of the traffic so im not sure what was going on. I am normally the slow guy in A.
  19. It was a motoseries thread, I didnt expect it to turn into a thread about the N2 trackdays. I think that N2 does a couple things wrong that snow ball into different issues. One is that they dont have classroom for the novice group or any structure at all, as someone else said earlier they have 2 intermediate groups. Another being that they dont enforce passing rules even though they have them, what good is telling someone they cant pass on the inside of a turn when you see people doing it all day and nobody gets reprimanded for it. Lastly I think that they need to bump people from Novice to Intermediate sooner. They make it seem like a huge deal and then you end up having people running 10s and 11s in novice and running up on new riders left and right. They get frustrated and start to pass in places they shouldn't. In Advanced I didnt have problems with anyone, everyone seemed to pass me clean and leave me plenty of room. They did bring everyone in for another riders meeting around 11 or so and tell everyone to calm down and it seemed like there were less incidents in the afternoon.
  20. Ouch... ya that looked to be 100% the control riders fault.
  21. 2 laps into the first session in advanced 2 guys ran into each other on turn 9. Other than that I dont know the details of the other wrecks.
  22. How was everything at nelsons this weekend? I got into the 1:04s with some help from rusty at pirc. Lots of crashes, a life flight and I think 4 ambulance rides.
