  1. Mine was unsecured, but tucked away in a secluded dead-end alley. My next one will be VERY well secured. Speaking of which, would anyone happen to have a 6x10 or 6x12 enclosed trailer for sale? Or know of any good trailer dealerships around that I could check out.
  2. I just had a small 4x7 stolen too... it seems as soon it starts to warm up a bit the thieves come out.
  3. I've had a few issues with Delille and their pure Argon. I've had two bad bottles out of about 10-15. Nothing worse than bringing a bottle home on Friday and expecting to be welding all weekend only to have the first few inches of weld come out like shit, but by then they are closed. They always seem very skeptical when I bring a bottle back and tell them it's contaminated, but they always swap it out for free. They're the only welding gas shop in a 30 mile radius so I'm kind of stuck though. I need to pick up an extra bottle or two...
  4. $80 for all of them before I put them out on the front curb? There are actually three new fronts, two rears...
  5. That might just work, is there any way you could send me, or post, some pics?
  6. Someone stole my 4'x7' TSC trailer with ramp gate that was perfect for hauling my bike around, so I guess I'm in the market for a new one. If I go with an open trailer, I would like something very similar to what I had, but I'm also thinking about going with an enclosed. If it's an enclosed, I would like something big enough to haul 2 bikes, but also have some room in the front for a work bench and some tools.
  7. $80 for both chains and sprocket! I'll throw in the VTR sliders too!
  8. I've got a couple of brand new DID chains for sale. Asking $60 for the gold 520ERV2-120L, $40 for the yellow 520V-120L, and buy either chain or both and I'll throw in the new sprocket for free. I also have a set of new frame sliders for a Honda VTR1000, $30. Prices are OBO.
  9. Stretched timing chain, corroded AWD hydraulic pump/valves (behind the passenger rear wheel), and weak clutches. My 2008 GSR only had 40k miles on it and I had to replace the timing chain and repair the AWD pump. Both were a huge pain in the ass and potentially very expensive if you cannot do all of the work yourself. The AWD pump is only sold new as a complete unit for $2500-3000. If it is in decent shape, I would recommend cleaning it then coating with marine grease as the road salt chews right through the uncoated aluminum. Even better, pull the electric motor off and reseal the shit out of it with RTV. When mine failed, the inside of the pump was filled with aluminum oxide powder. I ended up trading mine in last year on a new Tacoma because I got tired of working on it. That being said, damn they are amazing cars. I would still have it if it were more reliable...
  10. Well my buddy brought the tires to my place over the weekend so I could get a better look at them. Turns out the tires are from late 2003 through mid 2004, soft front, medium rears. They look like new, but I'm not really sure if they are usable due to age...
  11. Yea, all of the rears are 16.5", the fronts are 17".
  12. That's what I thought too, but the codes on the sides are in a weird format. The one for that tire is B190361 I think... I'll call Dunlop today and try to figure it out. Open to offers on these... Anyone have a 16.5" rear wheel that will fit on an 04 R6? I'd love to try a few of these take offs out this summer.
  13. Sorry about the delay, I'm trying to figure out how to determine the age/compound. The labels are a little torn up...
  14. I bought a bunch of motorcycle stuff from a guy who's son had died last year and was trying to clear out the garage. I've got two sets of new slicks and a bunch of race take offs that he was going to use for practice. The take offs include some rains and a few 211s. The new: (2) Dunlop 195/75R420 KR108 rears (2) Dunlop 120/70R17 KR106 fronts Maybe $300 a set for the new, $100 a set for the take offs? Most of the take offs look like they've got maybe one race on them. Make me an offer...
  15. Only if the part drops down in table and the laser nicks it before it shuts down. If it's much smoother than that in person it could be waterjet though. A lot of it is going to depend on travel speed too. I'd shop around if they give you a quote that high. For reference, I pay about $850-900 for batches of 250pcs, various sizes up to 12"x12", from .120" thick 5052, all with CNC bends. For maximum savings, ask them how many of your part they can nest on a single standard size sheet (or half sheet) of aluminum and go with that for your batch size. Try not to leave a drop because they'll probably just charge you for that material anyways. A 4'x4' sheet of 6061 will cost them $300-400 tops and net you around 500+ parts (assuming ~4in^2 part size). I'd say you could have it done for around $2-3 per part, if that.
  16. What kind of finish does the cut need to have? Laser cutting will likely be the cheapest, but won't have a perfectly smooth cut. Waterjetting will cost more but will give a very smooth and burr free surface. You could do it with wire EDM too, but that would be overkill... I use General Saw & Machine in Marion for all of my aluminum lasercutting. They do a pretty good job and are fairly cheap.
  17. I use TaxAct, easy and cheaper than Turbotax for me.
  18. I just ordered the Pros today from STG, the front was out of stock so I called them and they said they would be placing an order for a batch today. They said it would be 2-3 days to come in before they ship to me. You might want to give them a call today because they made it sound like they only order them per request.
  19. A buddy of mine picked up a cheap bike and is now trying to find some cheap gear before spring. He is looking for a size 48 leather Alpinestar jacket, but I think he might be interested in some track gear too. Gloves, boots, 1pc leathers. He's about 220 and around 6'4" I think.
  20. I think I'm going to go ahead and order a set of Superbike Pros then, despite the negative reviews. Kind of looks like most people are comparing them to an actual race tire instead of street tires like the Q3. It also looks like a lot of people are running an SC2 front with a Pro rear? What brand does the tire guy at MidOhio typically carry?
  21. I'm trying to make this same decision. Likely going to be running warmers this year, but for those instances where I might not get them on in time in the morning, or get stuck waiting on the grid for a little while, I think the Superbike Pros might be better. Spending $400 on tires every 2-3 track days might be hard to stomach too... Lowcel, how do they compare to the Q3s? Is the grip increase significant?
