http://www.suzukicycles.com/Product%20Lines/Cycles.aspx?sc_lang=en Suzuki calls it a dual sport as well, so someone please inform me how I am wrong, wiki is wrong and the manufacture of the v storm is wrong? 2 people have called me out on the v Strom NOT being a dual sport... I'm not trying to argue, but when I got 2 people pretty much calling me stupid for calling something by it's correct title something is wrong here... All I said is that the vstrom was a dual sport(which indeed I think I have shown enough proof that it is a dual sport) and that all I know about dual sports is that MOST of them have a high seat height and handle well off road. I also asked the question "wouldn't lowering a DS defeat the purpose of it being a DS?" I have no interest in going off road so that wouldn't matter to me anyhow, but how am I a know it all idiot for being correct?

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzuki_V-Strom_650 Wiki calls it a dual sport I never claimed to know anything about the v storm other than the fact that it's a dual sport. I have no clue how I am way off about the bike though, I will look at the Suzuki website to confirm if it is or isn't a dual sport, if Suzuki claims it's a dual sport then someone owes me an apology if Suzuki claims its a ST(im assuming thats what your classifying it as) then wiki is wrong and oh well, a usually reliable source of information is now on my shitlist. Someone here rides a vstorm 1k, not sure who, but I looked it up cuz I usually end up up wiking bikes that I've never seen so I kind of assumed the 650 would come up as dual sport aswell. I guess wiki is wrong though, I'll look more into these when I get a chance.

I know nothing about dual sports besides they handle well off road and are usually 34-38+in seat height. Lowering a DS would defeat the purpose of it being a DS wouldn't it? I would do some research, but a DS hasn't ever crossed my mind. I'm also not a huge fan of the single seat looks, but looks arnt what im really after, although it doesn't hurt

I'll have outgrown the zx14 by April, I was thinking a tomahawk Honestly I wouldn't have the skill/knowledge to push my current bike that hard on the track, although I would like to try and get a track day in next year regardless if I still haven't sold the 250 or if im riding a new(used) 600cc bike. Hopefully I'll be able to get in on some group rides aswell, nothing too spirited though. My motorcycle is/will be my primary mode of transportation, not just a new toy, so I need iy to have a little more kick for the every day riding experience, not so much the whole I need to be able to fly through the corners or keep up with the big boys thing. The 250 is great and all, but I just need a little more gogo juice on straight roads and for slabbing it. I may even end up doing an out of state run with my dad.

I wasn't sure if it was in general or a direct comment. I know I can't even out perform my lil 250 let alone a bike with 3x+ the HP nor do I intend to. I'm moving up in bikes for a few reasons, but I am not going to push it any harder in ther corners than I would my 250, if anything I will probably start at the bottom again and learn my new comfort level in the corners with a bigger bike. Now on the straights I do ride in the rain and even in the cold. I got over my fear of the wind already, the cold, not so much im scared of cold tires, but I just hate the cold. I do need some advice on riding in the rain though, I tend to ride with my visor up in the hard rain due to lack of visibility and usually keep 10 under if there is no traffic or ill do 5under or the speed limit if there are cars around me in the heavier rain. in light/moderate rain I usually won't go more than 5 over, but I'm still nerves when it comes to cornering or having to make sudden stops(ive ran a couple redlights on purpose while doing the speed limit cuz I didn't want to go into an accidental slide and I didn't slow down before the intersection cuz there was clearly no cars around) With that said, I feel I'm getting better and better every time I ride.

Send me a pm if I can get a mach 5 at the same price as I got my other one, if not let me know the new price. I need to pick up one for my dad. If its the same price and you have my info still go ahead and just process the order Thomas Nugent

Honestly I really don't plan on trying to push any bike to the limits I think I may be ready for let alone the limits of the bike itself. I enjoy cruising around on my bike and hitting the less adventurous backroads. I never ever(unless I have a 100% clear view) take a corner faster than the speed limit, unless I have rode that rode a few times and then I will slowly go faster at a speed I feel is safe. Saturday I was riding on some unknown roads and came up to a 15mph speed limit on a 55mph road (73 maybe? I was coming home from kings island) I saw a slight, long curve and didn't think much of it, I was going 70mph, but droped down to 50mph(35mph above said curve speed) after I got around the curve I was wondering why it was marked for 15mph, it wasn't tight or tricky at all. I probably could of maintained my 70mph speed, but I felt 70 may be a bit fast and 15seemd entirely too slow. I dunno though, I just like taking things slow and I'm in no rush to try and reach my peak riding skill I'm 5'5 with shorter than average arms and a 28 inch inseam. I will more than likely end up droping down anything over 31inches as I can barley touch the ground on my lil ninja as is. On the high side of my price range, nice bike though. Low miles for the year and some nice upgrades are a + Ya, it looks great for the year and seems like a solid deal. I like the 01-03 F4Is cuz they don't got the ugly banana seat. The front end of the F4I appeals to me more than the front end of the RR though, which is why I give it +1 sexiness lol Most people can't push any bike to it's full potential, so I fail to see a valid point. I do see where you are going with this though, good attempt Correct me if im wrong, but when the RRs came out didn't they tone down the F4Is aswell so that the two didn't have to compete with eachother as much?

I haven't read this thread as I don't want to read any spoilers, season 2 came out on Netflix like a week or 2 ago I think(atleast it was under recently added) so is this season 3 or is this season 2 and Netflix is just adding new episodes every week? I haven't watched this series in a while, I gotta figure out where I last left off and pick it up again. I think they were getting ready to leave their starting base since it got invaded. it's a pretty well done show from what I saw of it for anyone who is a fan of zombies.
-
I've heard alot of good things about them f4I and it's sexy too, but I think I'd be leaning a little more toward the RR over the F4I due to the handling vs launch speed. Although that bike does look alot sexier than the RR

Not interested in the sv650 at any price, it's way too big for me, I can barley reach the bars and even just sitting in it at a stop is tough for me. The other 3 arnt bad, I like the kawi(if it feels anything like the newer ones) haven't got to sit on duc or a cbr600, hopefully it doesn't feel like the cbr250. The guy ended up fallin threw in my bike, no biggie, just means I have longer to look at my options. As I stated in my first post I just need to wait on some money from selling my bike(unless I find a steal)

Dang 3 riders down today? That sux, glad all of them walked away. I just got back from laying down about 100+ miles tonight, that wind was starting to kick my butt on the highway around 10pm. I got lost on the way home and ended up in orgonia, so that was fun, but I didn't do anything too exciting like y'all.

I am in the market for a new bike, no rush or anything, as I still haven't sold my bike. I know I don't want an SV650 or any bike with the feel of a SV650(I'm too small, even if it was lowered I have to lay on the tank to reach the bars). I haven't sat on alot of bikes, but the gsxr 750(biggest bike I'd be willing to consider) was very comfortable for a guy my size. My ninja 250 sits great aswell, but the ninja 500 is uncomfortable and ackward feeling. I would like to stay at $3k or less, but the right bike I will go up to $4k, but absolutely no higher than $4k. I do not want a bike that is trashed, has problems, or needs work. Scratches are fine, maybe a missing fairing screw, mismatched fairings, or anything very minor that will not effect the performance of the bike in any way/shape/form. I do not want a bike with alot of vibration, if I did I would go for a Harley lol... Stock/aftermarket doesn't matter too much to me, if its lowered great, no need to raise it to stock height even. Just post up what you have for sell or even any suggestions of what I should/shouldn't get(I an a pretty small guy) hopefully I will have my current bike sold soon, but if I don't and I find a bike that is too good to pass up I just may be able to get the money, but I expect no one to hold anything for me, as I would not hold anything for anyone after hearing all the stories from people on here that were nice enough to hold something and then the buyer backs out. Hec I just may find something I like more by the time I get my money, who knows. It's coming up on winter so I'm sure there is no rush for anyone to buy/sell during this time of the year, but we'll see

I got a $3k(says he can get cash this week probably) offer via text and $2.8k(cash in hand) offer via email. I don't really wanna let her go at 2.8k, but that is my very bottom dollar, so I may have to think on it. Hopefully I can get it sold this week

Screw the bike, your intact, that's all that matters. Glad you had your gear on and were relatively unscathed

^^^ This Spinal injury > death Michigan is forgetting 2 important statistic, which should be very obvious. Death with helmet vs death without helmet and number of crashses with helmet vs number of crashes without helmet. Those statics mean alot more than how many riders died in said year if they think helmets are purely decorative pieces.

If he does get a busa he will probably do some one wheel action on his first twist of the throttle followed by a splat. Lesson learned... A 250 is probably more realistic if he still wants money to walk around with after he gets done paying insurance. I pay like $250 a year for full coverage(and get some back when I put the bike up for the winter) $200-300+ a month for insurance is a killer for a young person. I payed that much for my 95 ford aspire with just basic coverage when I first started driving at his age, but I had a good paying job(Appleton). I'm sure once he looks at insurance quotes he will change his mind.
-
I thought that was obvious

Actually, it warms other parts of the body aswell during the winter season

Its happens bout once a month, I've learned to live with it. I am on my phone ALOT(10+ hours a day) and I never turn it off(unless the battery dies or I'm swaping out batteries) so I wouldn't consider it a big issue. I don't plan on getting a new phone anytime soon, this one does everything I need it to and then some

I don't got an s3, but sometimes my s2 gets hot like that with nothing running, I just stick it in the refrigerator for a few minutes to cool it off lol.
