  1. Anyone have experience with the Annitori RL or Dano's Performance stand alone quickshifters?
  2. Here is some photos of one on the lift after a quick search. Unfortunately it doesn't have a pic of a stock lift with a Goldwing on it. http://s453.photobucket.com/user/2jerrym/media/HarborFreightLift.mp4.html
  3. That is a great deal! I'm really happy with mine. I use a front and rear stand with a ratchet strap looped through the rear stand to make sure everything is secure.
  4. Saw a freeze warning for my area so I ran out and switched out the water for antifreeze; unfortunately I couldn't get the bike started to ensure it was mix in well. Apparently my issue with the tip over sensor is still around. The good news is, screwing around trying to get the bike started I realized my battery was nearly dead.......well that isn't the good news....I decided to test out my new battery(it is on top) IT WORKED!!!! Well, it cranked the bike over on and off for around 5 minutes without an noticeable dip in the starter RPM. I was worried it wouldn't have the cranking amps to turn the bike over, but even being around 40* it didn't have an issue. As I was screwing around with the tip over sensor and wiring harness it even fired up for a few seconds before the damn tip over code showed back up. So the battery passes the cranking draw test. Next concern is how it handles being charged by the motorcycle and if it will stay balanced and not kill itself.
  5. Thanks Craig! Found a pc3usb fairly cheap.....but I also have been doing a bit of research on other options. The one that sticks out the most is this Factory Pro TEKA SFI 2. It is a tuning tool for the stock GSXR ECU. It sound like there are a few other options, but couldn't find any specifics. Probably just have to contact some shops that have dyno's to see what they offer for ECU tuning. Also found this guy Motty, who apparently homebrewed up a self adjusting air fuel ratio tuner way back around 2004. Looks like there were a few sold as solder in test beds, then a distributor in the US popped up selling plug and play kits, and now all I can find is 404 errors and missing pictures in forums.
  6. So now I'm thinking: Baseline dyno both bikes Switch the stronger motor into the race bike(thinking it is the street bike motor from my butt dyno) Put a few goodies on the race bike Dyno tune the race bike Hope like hell it holds up and I didn't just waste the effort of swapping motors. Currently the street bike has around 16k miles and the track bike is a complete unknown. I need to pull the valve cover off both to check the clearances.
  7. I don't think Ron would sell me back the engine I sold him. On another note, Powercommanders website blows.....I don't think they say explicitly anywhere if the ignition module is necessary for a quick shifter on my bike.
  8. hmmmm find a deal on another 04/05 600(hopefully with a couple goodies) or buy a spare engine and a couple goodies or shop around this winter for deals on an exhaust, pc, quick shifter, slipper clutch and rely as my street bike as a sacraficail backup or save money to put toward more track days/racing and maybe a different/newer track bike This started because I'm paranoid about getting stuck with no motor during the season. I like my bike, I'm comfortable on it and I don't think it is limiting me. At the same time, I'd like to try something else, so investing more into this make/model doesn't really make sense.
  9. Guess it could fall under tech and tips
  10. Not a bad idea....would be cool to have a place for everyone to share their projects.
  11. damn, I'm going to have to be careful of power wheelies.
  12. I heard the minimum gain from a lightened rotor was a solid 5hp. I should just leave that whole fancy rear brake thing off the bike.....only time I ever use it is entering hot pit. It would make switching the rear rim out that much easier!
  13. let the preparing for next season(or winter trackday trip) commence! Nathan hooked it up on some GP Pro gloves. I was really happy with the last pair that I had, but they were just a little tight so I picked up a set of XXL....much more comfortable than the worn out XL's. Found a killer deal on some NIB A* smx plus boots....old style squeekers, once again, same as I had before. Lightened rear rotor to make me super fast, front pads to slow down and zip ties to hold it all together. More to come as it arrives.
  14. Just got off the phone with them. Looks like March 3-7th, 12-14, 17-20 are open. 24th has been taken. 31st is open as well. I'd like to have a track day adjacent just for the option of extending the trip an extra day; not sure if the is a factor for anyone else. The 3rd is adjacent to "Southern Track Days" and the 7th is adjacent to a JGP weekend. As an FYI, Jennings also offers a club membership; $1100 for 10 trackdays that can be split between a group.
  15. Ron and Jeff can make use of that bank robbing money and hit the DiSalvo speed academy at Jennings in December.
  16. NOLA looks sweet, it is about 2 hours further than Jennings from Cleveland. Track rental is out of the question though @ $8k per weekday. Doesn't look like any more trackdays this year though. Barber looks like it closes up shop until next year after NESBA the 9th &10th then X-Act on the 23rd & 24th. Miami.....saw some info about CCS, but nothing about track days. NCBike looks like a pretty neat track, Team Pro-Motion has a track day going the 2nd and 3rd. I hate Pro-Motion's website; well any website where you have to jump through 15 hoops to find a damn price, so I'm not sure how much that is going for.
  17. I'm open to pretty much all options. I wish NYST was one, but it might be a little cold.
  18. I'll gladly lend a hand in planning, but I can't take the risk of getting locked up....someone needs to keep this train moving.
  19. I think we have found our trip sponsors! Thanks Ron and Jeff!
  20. Let me know if the link above works.....apparently posting excel tables looks ok in the editor, then all runs together in the actual post.
  21. Here is the dollars and cents of it.
