  1. I've been having trouble with the MotoSeries site since saturday.....is anyone else not able to log in?
  2. Lower used prices for hero HD and HD2 hopefully
  3. red stripe/superbike pro? dont think u can run them legally on the street....I've heard they don't have the same traction as DOT's. I love q2's.....if it wasn't for racing and wanting to get the most out of each session I'd still have them on my track bike.
  4. Unless the things you want to do to the hawk are necessary maintenance....see the following on what to do with the money.
  5. I'm half way there... In all seriousness, yes you can turn a bike at any speed by shifting your weight.....it is just slow as shit compared to knocking the tires out from under the CG by countersteering. Either case you are doing the same thing, moving the CG to the inside of the turn. Shifting weight does it slowly because you are only 1/3 of the weight of the bike, so the CG is shifting 1/3 of the distance you can shift your body's CG.
  6. I was pissed, drinking a bit and needed to vent. Short version...eBay seller shipped to the wrong address and early on said it was resolved. Two weeks later I put a claim into eBay to get tracking info. He flipped out sending 5 messages blaming me for the issue and saying I should have fixed the problem. Mind you I didn't even have tracking info to know the problem existed. Jack, thanks for the info. These are" recently used AMA GP-A 211 takeoffs", so they should be nice and fresh. This is the second eBay seller I've dealt with that I've had major issues with. The first tried to sell plastic welded fairings as prestine.
  7. Ship two sets of tires to the wrong address. Don't provide any tracking information. Notify the buyer of an issue with the shipment, but tell the buyer "it is resolved and the items will arrive in a few days". Don't notify the buyer when there is a "delivery exception" and the tracking info remains stagnant for a week straight. Don't take any action to correct the exception. Do nothing....especially contacting the buyer and let them know what is going on. Get angry when buyer files a claim. Tell the buyer you are out on a date at cannot use your paypal funds to cover the dinner because of the claim. Blame the buyer; say they should have contacted you via email first(they don't have your email). Provide the tracking number after the claim has been created, and blame the buyer for not correcting the issue they had no knowledge of. Luckily, it was an address that didn't exist. Talked with the friendly people at FedEX and got it corrected, should be picking the tires up tomorrow at their local office. I got a hell of a deal on these tires because of a listing mistake on the shipping costs. I had plans on sending this guy a few bucks to cover the shipping expense after verifying they looked as good as "10 lap take offs" that they are said to be in the ad. Even with the shipping mistake and delay I was going to, but after this bullshit; he can eat the cost of shipping.
  8. Oh shit, Ron has gone corporate on us.
  9. People do it because it makes them feel special and different for the 5 minutes until there are 10,000,000 people who have the exact same hardware. You are not special. You're not a beautiful and unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else. We're all part of the same compost heap. We're all singing, all dancing crap of the world. This is your life and it is ending one minute at a time, so spend it camping out for a piece of hardware that will literally be shoved down your throat in advertisements until the next iteration comes out.
  10. Just in the straights....I've got a spare set of fairings, we should work on your aerodynamics
  11. Thanks! I'm pretty happy with my body position at this point, feel really comfortable and stable on the bike. Oh well, I guess my race trophies will have to do Craig, lookin smooth as always! One more from me....group shot as we all go a lap or two down.
  12. I considered hitting the strip to practice launches, but all the waiting around kills it. I can go to a trackday and do 4 or 5 practice launches and a bunch of laps in a 20 minute session. Might not get the time slips to show improvement, but you can feel it. I'm guessing you have never been to Deals Gap with Doc...
  13. Thought I'd share a few photos.... Hey Marty! Maybe I need a little more preload or compression dampening....braking into T1, there are 4 photos in a sequence as I apply brake, the last 3 show my forks completely buried. Were turnin left! Love lefts, but I've only ever touched left knee once, and that was in T4 at Nelson. Getting a lot more consistent What a difference a year makes, but there is still tons of room for improvement! Looking forward to more time at the track and meeting more people who enjoy this great hobby/sport.
  14. Thanks Marty! I see you caught my photobombing of R1....muahahaha
  15. I bought one Whatever is easier dropbox or CD is fine with me.
  16. FTFY; although I think he will be too busy hunting moose.
  17. You know what would be more fun than watching a movie? Going racing at Putnam.
  18. Matt, that was easily the most fun I've had racing so far. Our going back and forth, lapped traffic and the thought of Dan behind me(oh yeah!) Really made it exciting and put a lot of pressure. I need to try some sprints again now that I've picked up some pace, maybe I can keep people in sight and make a race of it instead of just worrying when I'll be lapped. Jeff, yeah just a bit too much too early. That could have been pretty nasty if it caught traction or if I was on a wide line!
