Went to dinner last night and had my iP5 on the table. The young waitress looked and said, OMG is that the new iPhone 5??? I said yeah and she stood there in amazement. I let her hold it and she was all giddy and said she felt like she was meeting a celebrity. LOL I think if my wife wasn't there I could have taken her in the bathroom for a bit. You know, to show her all the cool things it does :sexytime:

I know most here aren't in Cinci but AT&T announced the availability of 4G LTE in Cinci today- Yay! Just in time for the iP5 http://www.att.com/gen/press-room?pid=23377&cdvn=news&newsarticleid=35399&mapcode=mk-att-wireless-networks|wireless
  7. Installed on IP4 and the new iPad today. Warning...if you did the jailbreak, trying to install the new iOS will cause you to have to totally reset the phone, install the software and then restore all you apps, music, photos, etc. It sucked.

There probably is if Apple has a contract with them for the event and the contracts states that they are not allowed to deliver before x date.

iOS 6 should be available by 1pm EST. I'm going to install it so everything will be backed up and synced for when I get the 5. Sold my iP4 to Amazon for $250...I'll be shipping it Friday after the 5 arrives. Probably could have done better on CL or eBay but to me the extra $50 I may have gotten is not worth the hassle. On the subject of cases and stuff, have a look at this. Since I do review stuff, I get a lot of press releases and I received this the other day. Looks interesting... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxQno3R4Ixw User video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUbt3Y0Lh8M&fmt=38

    iPhone 5

When the iPhone originally came out, I thought it was dumb. I eventually bought an iPod Touch (it's not an iTouch people, that just sounds creepy) and fell in love with it. It made no sense for me to carry that around and a phone when I could have both, all in one. So I bought the second generation iPhone. Hands down, the best purchase I've ever made. My iPhone is invaluable to me. I can pull up email, calendar, and other information instantly virtually anywhere. If I get lost, I can get directions and see where I am. I can take photos and movies when I would otherwise not have a camera. I can show photos to friends and family who may otherwise not get to see them. I can download a game/utility/application on demand when it will really come in handy without having to know about or plan it in advance because, hey, shit happens. My wife resisted buying one for years. She thought they were dumb and just an expensive gadget. She started using mine here and there and finally got her own. She agrees, it's the best purchase she's ever made and can't figure out why it took her so long to get one. I can see where some people live a little more simply and have no use for all that it has to offer or choose to spend their money elsewhere. To each his/her own. Droid/Android/Windows, etc phones are great too. IMO they lack the legacy support that Apple provides but are still useful devices. I just like the simplicity of the iPhone and the seamless integration with my MacBook Pro and sharing of apps with my iPad.

Ordered a black 64GB version. One of the perks of being laid up from surgery and off work is that I could stay up and order without forgoing some sleep Timing is everything.
  21. Those look like some awesome trails. Where exactly are they located - is it private land?
  22. Thanks guys. I will be totally non-weight bearing on my right leg for 6-8 weeks so my activities will be very limited. I brought all my dumbells into my bedroom so at least I can do some upper body exercises while I watch Jerry Springer
  23. I had previously posted on here somewhere that I partially tore my Achilles tendon which required surgery. Well, the surgery was today and went pretty well. Only snag was that they did a nerve block in my lower leg to mitigate the use of anesthetic and help with post-op pain. They must not have performed it well is it didn't really work. I woke up in quite a bit of pain (8-9 on a scale to 10). After several painkiller injections and a second nerve block the pain subsided enough that I could rest a bit and go home. Over 9 hours later, my lower leg is still numb/pins and needles. It's a very weird feeling. Anyway, my riding is done for the year and it'll take 4-6 months to completely get back to 100% but it had to be done. At least I get to take a week off of work to rest and luckily I can work from home for a few months afterwards. The staff at Good Samaritan hospital in downtown Cinci were all great - if anyone on here works there - thanks!
