Understood...I personally try to support the small businesses when I can. My wife and I are small business owners and had a retail small business for a time but sold it several years ago. You used to be able to make a nice living with your own small business...now you get by and it doesn't helped that the gov't ass-rapes small business owners in taxes.

$10/yr to be a supporter is cheap...some sites ask for $20-30 and load it with ads if you're not a supporter. Site hosting is not cheap, not to mention the personal time spent moderating, updating, tweaking, backing up, recovering from crashes, etc, etc.

With Sport Tour not having a physical location here any longer (I suspect they may just close up shop at some point), it's slim pickings outside of the dealers and their limited inventory in Cincinnati. This area is ripe for a parts/gear/apparel store.

Not that I really need to justify it but... 1) No fucking way I'm riding my XR650L to Colorado - especially with 14/48 gearing. If that makes me a sissy bitch then I'm a sissy bitch. I'll let you borrow it if you think you are up to it (sizable deposit required ) 2) I want to take both the Super Tenere AND the XR. Not much chance of that happening without a trailer, eh? 3) Even if I was only planing on riding the Tenere, I plan on doing a lot of off road riding and that's where a lot of crazy shit happens. If I go down and break something vital (on me and/or the bike) then I'm really fucked for getting home without incurring big expenses and/or significantly delaying my ability to get home. I have a good job I'd like to keep for the next 10 years so I can retire with fuck you money so getting home on time is pretty important to me.

OK, change of plans...I'll be heading to Ben's house tomorrow to buy his trailer and likely the wife will be with me but has to be back for an appt so I won't have time for IP or lunch

Ben, I'll take it. Will you be around next Saturday? I'm not sure if it has a title or not (I think my landscape trailer only has a bill of ownership or something). If so, you can get your signature notarized any time or we can do it Saturday at a bank or something.
