  1. The weather tomorrow is going to be iffy...colder and maybe some rain. The wife and I have a crap ton of errands to do tomorrow which is how I settled on Sunday. I realized I'll have to ride up without my Sena headset because I RMA'd it...replacement won't be here until late next week
  2. Ok, let me talk with the wife in the morning...I've been contemplating getting one for a while and now that I have the XR. I have more use for it. I'll let you know.
  3. Sweet...I might be in for this. Is it possible to remove the chicks so it could use it for my ATV as well? I know one of the trailers you can do this and even add a center rail...not sure if you can on this one.
  4. I got my Russell Day long seat back and on my bike so I thought I would take a fairly long ride to test it out so I think I'll ride up to Iron Pony on Sunday. If anyone is interested, we could meet up and have lunch. I'll probably get up to the store around 11:30 spend some time shopping, etc and lunch afterward. There's nothing I specifically need but I always manage to find something.
  5. Sometimes when you hit a plateau, it's your body's way of saying you need to change it up a little. Lay off the weights for a week and do some extra cardio or lighten up the loads and go for high reps. I like to do that where I'll switch between antagonizing muscle groups (i.e. bi's vs tri's or chest vs back) back to back without rest for 4 or 5 sets. This really works your muscles as well as giving you some good cardio benefits.

  7. I ordered from MCSS yesterday afternoon and it did say on checkout that it would ship same day. As of now, the order still says processing but in the past, it has shipped and it took a while for the status to reflect this so we’ll see what happens (I’m not in a hurry for the parts so not a huge deal). In contrast, I ordered from Rocky Mtn ATV today at 9:32am and got shipping confirmation at 9:55am. They are consistently very fast to process orders and ship so consider them a viable alternative to MCSS as their proximity makes even ground shipping very fast to deliver.

I'm no lawyer, but don't see how cops could hassle you for stunting on private property if all of the following are true: It's your property or you have explicit permission to be there doing what you are doing Your stunting isn't a threat to neighboring property or persons (i.e. lost wheelie causes bike to hit neighbor's house) The stunting is not an overt nuisance to neighboring property owners (i.e. noise) If you are on private property I can see how they may stop and question you but if you are not violating any of the above I don't see how they can say anything but "be careful and carry on". If you don't have permission to be on the property, there are numerous reasons for ejecting you including but not limited to liability issues for the property owner(s).
  9. This is why I hate selling things. I have a bunch of stuff sitting around that I should sell but haven't because of stuff like the above. I've actually been pretty lucky...I've probably sold about 20 SSDs and never had an issue with a sale.
  10. Well as of this morning I'm down 30lbs since 2/09/16. I'm not doing anything complex...just stuff most weight loss program sources will tell you. Tracking all of my food intake with MyFitnessPal app. Trying to stay under 1000 calories between lunch and breakfast and eating the balance for dinner, snacks. My snacks are generally nuts, yogurt, fruit or veggies. Eating at or a little below my BMR (~2300) in calories per day (I had it measured at a health fair at work). I never eat below 1800 calories a day. If I'm truly hungry, I eat. I'm sufficiently chubby enough to eat below my BMR and still put on muscle. You can have yours measured by a dietician relatively cheaply. It's super helpful to have a calorie goal per day. Staying away from high glycemic foods for the most part (white rice, bread, pasta, sugary foods). I still eat the occasional white potato (hate sweet potatoes). Amped up my activity. Been walking A LOT - I get in 10k steps or more every day. I walked 8 miles last Saturday in the cold misty rain. Hitting the weights 3 days a week too. I'm not being overly obsessive about my diet, and instead make concessions. They brought in pizza to work the other day and I had a few slices (not 4) and stuck with cheese slices (not pepperoni or meat). I have a realistic weight loss goal though no real timeline to reach it. I'm ok with slow and steady even though I've made a lot of progress in a short period of time. It's easy to lose weight when you have a lot to lose. I fully expect the rate of loss to tail off exponentially as I near my goal. Once I meet that, I'll probably set a new goal. I did the low carb diet and it worked really well for me (see above post) but more and more I was finding it too difficult and unsatisfying to stay on long term. I do a lot of business and social dinners/lunches and much of the time it's extremely hard to stay low carb and still get enough to eat. As a side note, I've done a lot of lifting in the past. I'm pretty strong (bench 300+ when my shoulders feel ok) and have a fairly good build (under the fat). Adding muscle and strength always seemed to take a long time in my 30's but I'm finding I'm adding strength and muscle much easier now and I think it's because I'm not lifting as often. In the past I think I was lifting too frequently (I'm in my 40's now so I really need the extra recovery time). I'm lifting only 3 days a week one day chest/tri's/shoulders, one day back/bi's/abs and one day legs - rest days in between. I've read in the past that many people overtrain and don't make the gains they should and I'm seeing that in my case. So, if you are lifting and not making a lot of progress, maybe back off a bit.

  13. Welcome! I spent some time in Appleton...my Uncle (since passed) and Aunt live there. She actually run Galvan's restaurant if you've ever been there. There are mellow riders on here as well so you should find peeps to ride with. I ride pretty mellow and have done several rides. You can always break off if the pace is uncomfortable.

  15. Print for what's ordered, wait, print more for subsequent orders. Not hard. Even motorcycle super store can do it.

  17. I like FirstGear stuff because they are generously sized for us portly Americans. Most of their stuff usually runs a size larger than you would normally wear in street clothes. Do these seem to follow that sizing as well? I've noticed some of their stuff is more generous than others. On a side note, motorcyclegear.com usually does a little write up for each clothing item as to the fit compared to other brands or at least if they run true to size, small, etc. I find it immensely helpful and would probably be a good selling tool for you guys,.
