  1. When I was in Atlanta, I had some banana MoonPie that was fabulous. On the way back yesterday, we stopped in TN and picked up some apple pie moonshine but I haven't tasted it yet.
  2. +1 Discomfort leads to distraction and premature fatigue. For normal road speeds (and even a little excessive), textile gear is plenty effective enough and should need the abrasion resistance of leather. Plus the armor tends to be in the most abrasion prone areas giving an extra layer. On a street crash, odds are high that you will slide into something and stop or go off of the pavement onto less abrasive surfaces before you slide a great distance.
  3. Personally, I would make it part of a larger trip to make it more worthwhile. Maybe spend a few days in Minneapolis and do some touristy stuff. My wife has to go to Minneapolis every once and a while so I could piggy back on that. I actually like the top/bottoms I have from FirstGear which weren't cheap either so I'm not in a hurry.
  4. One day I'm going to go there for a custom fitting. I'm long in the torso so I always have issues with length from crotch to shoulders in suits. Tried on many and never found one that didn't want to turn me into a soprano when in a riding position. I have similar issues with wet suits so I mostly wear separates but at least they stretch. I've always heard good things about Aerostitch. Others may costs less but many times you get what you pay for and you don't want to find out you got what you paid for on the cheapo's when you take a spill.
  5. I ain't skeered...I have an RFID wallet and passport case
  6. Something about him talking about wearing leather and you calling him a sexy bitch just puts bad images in my head that i can't block out.
  7. Sad...anyone we know? http://www.wlwt.com/news/butler-co-couple-killed-in-central-ohio-motorcycle-crash/39696546
  8. That's always a plus! I had to a buy a new suit for a wedding I'm going to in Atlanta this weekend because none of the ones I have fit me anymore. I've been getting rid of all my "fat" clothes. Not going back there.
  9. I'll take a raincheck then...looks yummy.
  10. Please leave a sample at my house as you pass by.
  11. This is a good read... https://www.t-nation.com/powerful-words/100-laws-of-muscle Some of these are great:
  12. Yep...I think they are mostly specific to brands and not models as it has to match the bolt pattern but there may be exceptions where withing a brand, the bolt patterns differ.
  13. There's one there...it happens to have legs and is in motion but it's there.
  14. If I ever want to feel better about myself, besides going to Walmart, I just read a few CL ads. People overwhelming suck at writing ads and probably writing in general. To most, this is a valid and complete ad: Can't spell, shit grammar, no pertinent information (location, mileage, condition, mods, etc). There was someone on this or another forum that said someone responded to their CL ad and offered up some sheep in trade for the bike
  15. OMG, this is why I hate selling things.
  16. Wow, you must look like you need a sammich now, where'd you find the 19 to lose? Congrats on the win...hopefully the prize wasn't a coupon for cookies or pizza
  17. Nice job. I had a small setback after spending a week in Vegas (I did manage to work out 4 of the 5 full days I was there) but as of this morning I'm down 48lbs today since mid Feb. If not for some muscle I've added, it would be over 50 I'm sure. Still lots to go.
  18. ^^ and occasionally no shoes or possibly flip flops. Apparently they haven't seem some of the post accident pictures that I can no longer un-see.
  19. I have 2 Givi tank bags that use the tank lock ring. Best tank bags I've ever bought and I've had several magnetic ones in the past. I used to always worry about sand and grit getting between the magnet style bags and the paint but not anymore. Also, I always managed to put the magnetic ones on crooked, especially if sticking it on while seated on the bike. This bothered me because I'm anal about things in general. I got 2 because I wanted a small one for things like sunglasses, etc when my luggage needs were meager and a larger one for trips when I need to carry a lot of stuff. They pop on and off very simply but are secure once on. There are only really two down sides - depending on your bike. 1) There's the somewhat unsightly ring on the tank when not using one of the bags if you have a bling bike. 2) If you have a GPS or phone mounted on your bars, it can hit the bag depending on the bike, bag size and mounting location. This can be an issue with magnetic or strap bags too but at least those you can change the position on the tank a bit to accommodate the needed clearance. With these, it's always in a consistent spot.
  20. Fuck, why didn't I think of that. How much do kidneys weigh?
  21. I've seen the bike before...did a few rides with Dice. Nice bike...worth the price.
  22. Poor example of a craigslist ad...you spelled all of the words correctly
  23. I've sold several bikes for the same reason...it's not like 'replacement' costs make it unwise. Lots of cheap bikes to be had in the fall.
  24. Saw a headline last night "No evidence Hillary willfully broke the law". When was guilt ever relevant to whether breaking the law was done through ignorance, by accident, or on purpose? I forgot, politicians get special exemptions...asshats.
