For the umpteenth time this weekend someone came up and asked about the OR decals on my bike, asking "What is Ohio Riders, your club or something?". Yeah, we have a "club". @Casper can we get patches and shit?
Thanks Wayne and Rick, nice meeting you guys today. Good seeing you again Tim, thanks for meeting up for lunch. It was damn good...I haven't eaten anything 'unhealthy' since the end of Jan so it was a real treat. I'm about to head to the gym before they close to cleanse my bacon cheeseburger sin today.
I'm actually up at a decent hour so I should be there as planned. I'll be riding the tenere linked in my sig...hard to miss. In the store I'll be wearing my tan super tenere hat.
Late notice but since the weather is going to be perfect again tomorrow, I'm going to run up to Cbus to hit Iron Pony and test out my new Russell Day Long seat on the Tenere. I'm probably going to get there around opening (10am) and have an early lunch (11-ish?) before I roll on home so if anyone is in the area tomorrow and wants to meet up for lunch, chime in here or PM me.
Sounds like a great job where someone with little or no experience could learn a lot. That's rare...usually they want someone to come in to hit the ground running.
Many years ago with my current company (I celebrate 20 years this month) I applied for the position and the hiring manager told me I didn't really have any experience in a certain area to which I replied, I can never be experienced unless someone gives me the opportunity to get that experience. I was eventually given the role and the rest is history.
Awesome. I've heard nothing but great things about those helmets though I have yet to try one on. If I wasn't already happy with my Neotec that's only a few years old, I would certainly be looking to get one.
Anyone dual-sport riding this weekend maybe around Perry, Wayne or Shawnee (or elsewhere)? I'd like to get the XR out and put on some shakedown miles to make sure everything is running well and get used to her. Would like to ride off-road as much as possible but nothing too hairy. I don't really want to go alone...always better to buddy ride in case there's a mishap. I think I'm good to go either day and the weather is looking nice!
Hmmm...maybe I'll look into riding those trails this weekend. I've never been there before so I have no idea where to park, etc.
You don't happen to have GPX tracks of this do you?
Not long...want to get it out this weekend. Was going to take a trip down the Tellico with some guys but decided after the mods, etc and the fact that I haven't gotten used to riding it, I'd rather do some shakeout rides closer to home.
