  1. Welcome to the forum. Nice bike!!!
  2. I am on a no-contract AT&T partner service and I have the X-ATT-DEVICEID info in there. Looks like AT&T is still tracking it's users too...certainly is not blank. I will have to see if there is a way to opt out of it from the carrier's site.
  3. interesting, wonder what other carriers are doing the same thing? How to find out?
  4. Bike is at fault, of course!!! The intersection has to clear out after a light change. He obviously could see it wasn't clear not to mention the way he gunned it trying to squeeze through an intersection that was not empty. What a dumbass!!! This is what gives honest bikers a bad name.
  5. s o o o t i r e d o f t h i s w e a t h e r . . . . .! ! ! Funny thing, it's snowing right now!!! Ugh!
  6. the driveway is still covered in several inches of ice!!! (At least where I live.)
  7. Welcome to the forum. Looks like a nice bike from the pic. Can't wait for spring!!!
  8. S100 Cleaner...I picked a bottle this up at the dealership while buying some parts. I remember my brother having this and using it on his Honda Shadow. Works really well. Don't have to scrub very much or use very much cleaner. I don't have any chrome either. http://www.s100.com/index.htm
  9. Welcome, and nice bike!!!
  10. Congrats!!! Your time will be more limited for riding for sure. Won't change to the fact that you'll want to ride. Enjoy that new little one. They change so fast in that first year.
  11. 41 miles yesterday afternoon around home. Felt good to get out. Didn't want to stop riding but it was getting dark quick. Had to try out some new riding gear I picked up recently for colder temps.
  12. Grew up with 2 of them around the farm and 4 boys to share the two of them. We all had incidents on them over the years. Two of them somewhat serious. Brother hit a stray dog on the road in 5th gear full throttle. He was pretty banged up. I let my cousin drive it and she freaked out near the end of a field where we were riding and didn't stop in time to hit a stone pile and woven wire fence. We were okay, but I bruised my kidneys and they thought I had ruptured my spline but they hospitalized me overnight and I was fine just super sore. No broken bones!!! Still have them and still use one of them regularly around the farm. My dad uses it more than anyone now. He enjoys riding it around the farm to fetch this, that and cut down on the walking. He's gonna be 81 next month...LOL. They can be dangerous, but you learn to respect the machine just like a motorcycle. Honda made some big changes from 1983 to 1985 model years. Everyone loves to ride the '85 model over the '83 model. Both are Honda 250s. Lots of fun too.
  13. Congrats!!! Nice bike for sure. Cool wife too for going the extra effort. Enjoy!!!
  14. Too much power for someone's ability. Seems like such a waste...ugh!!! Not sure what one new costs $$$? https://autos.yahoo.com/news/2015-dodge-challenger-srt-hellcat-crashes-colorado-083512851.html
  15. It sucks for sure!!! Think riding season just came to a sudden halt if you don't want to drive your bike on the salted roads!!!
  16. Niven...Congrats! Excited for you. Time to experience life in a completely different way.
  17. now that would be an excuse to not wear your helmet...LOL!!!
  18. All interesting points of view. What if our "view" of God is too small? (I heard this already here, I think Steve said this.) Maybe your viewpoint doesn't include God. What if there is way more to it all than just living on earth for a short period of time and enjoying all the benefits of this life? Since we obviously didn't create ourselves and cannot answer the fundamental questions of the universe except what we know through the Bible, religion, science and research and medical breakthroughs maybe this just heightens all our inner curiosities to know more. Seems like we all have that inner space to satisfy. I think we sometimes just don't know the whole story and we aren't meant to know it all. We all speak from our own experiences and those around us. I was raised Christian too. I don't agree with some of the typical mainstream beliefs of Christianity. Some of it is just "man centered." I believe God created us and for a much bigger picture than most could admit or realize. As far as healing and praying for healing, it is rare. We know that. If you believe in another life, it's temporary at best for this life. If everyone was healed, we wouldn't need doctors or medicine. Yes, science and Doctor's have figured out how to make the body react to medicines and how it can get the body to start a healing process. I think the longer man lives on earth it will continue to figure out how the human body works and obviously medicine will get better. History shows us that now. What if life is also about the journey and how we go through it? It's just interesting to think about this. Everyone has to work through it for themselves. It really is a personal thing. As far as how God works everything out for everyone, that is for him to decide. That is his job. I think that is what we call "faith." Our viewpoints change as we go through life depending on our circumstances. How we are convinced seems to be "divine intervention" or however you define it. It really is a great country to believe how we want, to worship how we want. I won't berate anyone for their own beliefs. I have learned that religion and politics no one will ever agree on. We all have to work it out for ourselves. Just my thoughts...but very good discussions here if you like to discuss.
  19. Maybe the bad press will help bring public pressure to bring them to the table again??? Seems like a lot of bad things happening to the sport in general. Lots of people don't even know anything about the sport or have even heard about it. I would have thought Dorna would bring some $$$ to the sport to help change it not this...ugh!!!
  20. It definitely is faster...I like it already!!! Good decision, Casper.
  21. They sit up really high up...would think it is a fun bike. A family friend just bought one this year.
