  3. Everyday of my life is a project car. Once I get out of wrenching, for good, I've always wanted to put something small block together. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Forearm strength training, for riding, is a bad deal. The larger the muscles, the more restrictive they are to blood flow. This is the cause of arm pump. Focus on core strength, cardio, endurance, and stretching. Always do a stretch routine. Fighting arm pump is something I struggle with. 11 years of wrenching professionally has left me with Popeye forearms. Before a race, I hydrate by drinking more than 1 gallon of water a day a few days out from the race. That week leading up to the race I do several forearm stretch routines. 1st looks like you're praying, palms together, elbows out, fingers to the ceiling. Next is hands opposite, backs of hands together, elbows out, fingers toward floor. In between these two stretches I roll the hands together to stretch the sides of the forearms. Do this for 15-20 minutes, usually while watching tv. The best workout for riding = seat time. Riding uses muscles that no other workout can use. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thank you Just my wife and me. We're not 100% yet. Trying to find a dog sitter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Take the basic riders course? I think it's only $50 The BMV license test isn't that tough. I took it in Hamilton and they were really lenient. One of the guys failed completely, and they gave him a second chance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. I'm really interesting in seeing one of these in person. I'd also really love to see the new KTM Superduke GT in person to compare. I'm not necessarily sold on the Ducati. After owning my hyper, I'm not sure I'd buy another new Ducati. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. The wife and I are talking about tagging along. Depends on OMRL race schedule and all that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  16. i understand that at one point bitcoin was looking at $1.00-3.00 each pre-2011... but that doesn't mean an over 100% gain this past 1/4 isn't something to consider. besides, its a risky asset in which i wouldn't place all my chips. PM's (specifically gold) is a much more manipulated market than bitcoin is, but some consider it long term. with the current status of the EU and central banks in germany, italy, france and others, bitcoin is going to be very interesting over the next 12 months. just FYI, GE is looking at a downsize and is looking to layoff (in aviation). Also, GE appliances didn't get bought by electrolux (sp?)... so look out for whats happening there.
  17. I'm going to try my luck in PM's. specifically silver, as i believe silver is currently basementing. also looking into mining stocks. bitcoin is something i'm interested in. this summer it was @ $230, then rose this late november to almost $500, and settled back to a little over $400. i believe it'll fall back to the $250 range sometime 1st quarter 2016, at which point I may throw in on that. I'm unsure of what will happen with oil. if you're planning on playing the turmoil in the middle east, i'd definitely say you're on the right path. although we are entering an election year, and china's consumption is quite a bit down, which has definitely shown affects in the commodities markets. (anyone thats been to a scrap yard recently will tell you how far down scrap is). i'd stay as far away from the bond market as possible. i also believe the US stock market is going to see some volatility through 2016 that will continue the bear slope its been recently. I'm still new to all this, so i'm curious as to others opinions.
  18. Thanks for the referral! Feel free to call the shop, 937-550-9151 speak to Lou and tell him you're from Ohio riders. We're located in springboro, right off I-75. You can also contact us on Facebook. Whichever is most convenient for you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I think for the purpose stated, the duc fits best. The FJ is a sporty adventure tourer. Suspension and chassis are compromised in this manner. The fz09 is more a competitor to the Duc, but the Duc wins out in the suspension/chassis/brakes department. The engine on the Duc is a great engine. I'm not sure what problems the hyper 821's have, seeing that I own one and haven't had any issue with the engine? If you were planning on getting rid of your FJR (and possibly the KLR), the Yamaha FJ would be the better choice. But if you truly want a more single purpose focused machine, for sure the Duc out of those two. Besides, you get to act like a pompous douche as soon as you take delivery of a Ducati. 20. is your bike experiencing any symptom of the bulletin for 3rd and 4th gears? if not: they will not make repairs unless symptoms can be duplicated. if so: factory warrenty will take care of the cost of repair, as long as you are still within your warrenty period the campaign for second gear covers just that... second gear (and whatever else is in the outlined campaign bulletin) the 3rd and 4th gear bulletin you referred to sounds like a technical service bulletin. which does not fall under the same category for repair authorization as as a campaign bulletin (whats commonly referred to as "recall") dont freak out. every new vehicle, especially now days with our countries huge epidemic of entitlement and our sue happy legal system, has recalls. it wont lower the value. for instance: bmw s1000rr's had a recall on the crankshaft of certain affected VIN's in 2012. those bikes still sell for above 11k.
  21. "Limp home mode" is typically not a feature you can disable. It's a fail safe built into the pcm software. The factory may not have a sympathetic ear. The dealership and the manufacturer are two separate companies. The factory may not want to get involved since it wasn't involved from the get go. The OP can still try the manufacturers customer affairs department. I doubt they'll be much satisfaction though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. My wife wears a Spidi two piece that has a pretty cool tanktop that is attached to the pants (can be removed) that acts like a compression shirt/sports bra. Pretty cool feature. She also wears sidi fusion boots (but the women's "Lei" version which is basically a flowery pattern). We found euro sizes in boots are same for men and women. You can buy men's boots in women's sizes (super small usually) for close out deals. As always with gear, you get what you pay for. Not only in protection, but also comfort (if you plan on riding for extended periods of time) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. To be honest, you're pretty much SOL. Out of warrenty, way out of lemon law, and owe on the vehicle. Best bet is to keep at it with this dealer, and play the "I did what you recommended and the car still isn't fixed" card. Don't go in there mother f***ing everyone, raising your voice a little is fine, but don't get rude. We kick people out when they do these things: cuss, threaten, say the word "lawyer". Just stay on the service manager and if you have to, go for the dealership general manager. Request their top tech, and tell them you don't feel safe driving the vehicle. 25. Try the information posted on this website http://www.dmv.org/oh-ohio/replacing-a-lost-title.php It has a phone number to call that has information on replacing a title after purchase of a vehicle that doesn't have a title, but does have a bill of sale. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
