Of all the people that completely ditched cable, how many are using over the air antennas? Or are you just using Hulu for most of the basic TV stuff? I have delayed ditching cable for far too long. Now that football season is over they can have their outrageously priced crap.

As mentioned above, take the BRC for $50 and you will have your license in a few days. If the class fills up, there are some dealers that offer it. Unfortunately, I am unfamiliar with the dealers in Greene County or the Dayton area. Iron Pony does offer them, but it will cost more than ODPS. They are located in Columbus/Westerville.

Never underestimate a company's culture. You will spend countless hours of your life there. In my opinion, that is just as important or more important than total compensation. As the saying goes, enjoy what you do and you will never work a day in your life. Good luck!

Today's average high in CBus is 44 degrees. Accounting for windchill factor, we are closer to -44 degrees.

well dang... burst another bubble then.
edit: ok, I looked. Big mistake. Those two digit roads are marked as federal. But yes, two digit and three digit roads can be state or county. So I guess it is the federal roads that are better maintained.
The feds turned over the maintenance of federal roads to the state (not including the park systems). However, the FHWA does supply a significant portion of the funding and bureaucracy that the states must adhere to. For the most part, the state DOTs prioritize the maintenance of roads.

Two digit roads are state roads, and much better maintained. Three digit roads are county roads, and will vary from one county to the next.
This is not accurate. There are many state roads with 3 digits, including 555. County roads do change numbers at county line, but state routes do not. ODOT is responsible for maintaining the state routes. Counties are responsible for maintaining their county roads.

IMO if you have taken BRC-1 and been riding for longer than a year take the ERC class. I took it 2 years ago and got a lot out of it.
I think you meant to say the ARC. I thought the ARC was worthwhile, and I intend to take it again this year.

Definitely have a 3rd party CPA review. That is a cash intensive business, and they may be able to spot any irregularities. Also, be prepared to potentially lose a friend. Unfortunately, sometimes business deals go bad. Good luck!

The K1600s are the best touring bikes in the market. Nice bike!

Welcome to OR. The C14s are nice for long tours.

There are a number of dual sport bike that can do it. The real issue is finding what kind of bike that you enjoy riding. I intend to ride a sport touring bike Monday thru Thursday (or Friday). I will ride a dual sport on some Fridays and weekends.

Another C14 ride here. I am not too far away.

I recently bought a beat up DRZ. Went through and changed all the fluids, put on new plastic, and a Clarke fuel tank. It is ready to go. I would like to buy a set of supermoto wheels to switch back and forth. However, the supermoto wheels do seem overpriced.

OSU made the playoffs and won the national championship? The weather is not as bad as last year? Stock market is doing well? Low gas prices? Nope. Haters are still gonna hate. Must be that haters have other stuff to do.

Slabbin to deals gap is a one stop trip, and that is a fuel piss and go stop. If you want stops you need to plan a trip off the freeway and enjoy it more.
+1. I ride through there at least once a year. I leave CBUS in the morning, and I am riding past Deals Gap a little after lunch (depending upon who is with me).

Have you tried a VTX1800? It has significantly more power than the 1300, and they can be found inexpensively. The VTX1800 is my favorite cruiser that I have ridden. As mentioned above the Stroms are good bike, and you can find some deals. There are many great options on the market. Go to Iron Pony and sit on some bikes. They represent a number of manufacturers.
