  1. I was just talking about this the other day, how much can change and has changed in 3 years.
  2. Yeah, left the garage door open because I like looking at them all together. Thanks. As far as I know they are making the FZ1, FZ8, and FZ6. Although the FZ8 is the only one without any windscreen, and has a fairly different look.
  3. Thanks guys, I'm not a fan of the stock mirrors but not sure how I want to change them, that is something I'll have to ponder awhile. Brian, basically it's a sportbike without a body that you sit on in the position of a dirtbike. This has a very similar engine to the old R1 (current FZ1), but 779cc's as opposed to 1000. I sit very comfortably on this bike, when I ride a race bike I get sore and tired too fast. Maybe I'm just too old, but this is pretty fast adn comfortable.
  4. So as read in my other thread I bought a new motorcycle. 2013 Yamaha FZ8. I've only gotten to ride 5 miles so far, but it's going to be an absolute blast. Just ordered a new pipe, fender eliminator, and integrated taillight. http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp133/ND2RACE/CIMG0410-1_zps77410a45.jpg http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp133/ND2RACE/CIMG0417-2_zpsab44679c.jpg http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp133/ND2RACE/CIMG0412-1_zpsa9c3e149.jpg
  5. I'll get some pics up very soon, I'm still freezing from riding 5 miles.
  6. But you don't have a bike.....:dumb:
  7. Well a big thanks to Chad for getting my new bike home last night. I am the proud new owner of a 2013 Yamaha FZ8. The little bit I rode it the bike felt very natural to me. I can't wait for weather to break, shitty first day of spring in the 30s.
  8. Not sure why everyone in this thread is held up on dyno numbers, I'm sure the flowmaster ws crap but go see how it runs. My car ran 10.60s and only dyno'd 535 on Brian's dyno. I will be curious to see if it makes much difference, but I still think some of you worry too much about the actual number.

    Gear install

I'm sure there are some ex-sponsors who would love to help you Lol Seriously though I've heard good things about babbit. I'd offer to do it but I can't stand laying on the concrete for that long. Depending on type of gears you may get some whine, your best bet for no whine is to find some gears sold as OE replacement that way if they whine you know its the installers fault. Most "performance" gears tend to make a little noise, not enough to hear over a loud exhaust anyway.
  10. I'll plan on being there, keeping fingers crossed for Camaro weather since I seriously doubt it'll be bike weather.
  11. Well after talking to them again today it looks I'll be finalizing the deal and getting the bike tomarow. Can't wait for spring now
  12. Cut and lengthen the wires. Seriously, this is how my cheap ass ran mine for a few years until I replaced the sensors with O2s that have longer leads. It's not that big of a deal.
  13. Well after weighing out my options and costs I went and looked at a Yamaha FZ8 at Iron Pony today. I really like the FZ8 as it has a much better price point and fits my needs better. So I will likely be picking one of these up later this week. http://imageshand.yamahamotors.com/img.jpg?id=18497&w=200
  14. Mine isn't pinned either, it just seems to be more common then the balancer coming apart. I have seen them come apart though so it's not a bad idea to get a decent one. I have an SLP underdrive balancer that is sfi rated on the Camaro with no issues.
  15. The balancer is more prone to spinning and throwing the bolt out so they should be pinned if they are raced since it's just pressed on with no keyway. Otherwise there are plenty of balancers out there.
  16. This is what I have. http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp133/ND2RACE/CIMG0428.jpg This what I'm looking at. http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/motorcycles/2013models/2013-Honda-CB1000R1b.jpg
  17. Was nice seeing you too, but like Doc said, you can't mod a slow ass bike into anything special. It's still going to top out at 100mph and drag its pegs around every corner. The Shadow just bores me and i want something else. I have checked into the insurance, it goes from about $200 a year to $900 a year for the same coverage.
  18. Has anyone had any experience with these? I was at the Honda store today looking around and I'm falling in love with this new bike. It has a comfortable seating position for me since its not the rr and sits a little more upright, seems like it has everything I want and the deal wasn't horrible anyway. Of course it would be a jump from my little shadow but I'm tired of being so slow and dragging pegs everywhere I go. So I'm looking at options and would love some opinions. Obviously I'm kind of partial to Honda bikes and Atvs, stopped by Iron Pony and looked at the Yamaha and Suzuki counterparts and wasn't too excited. Thoughts?
  19. Okay, how about the spring rates?
  20. Willing to bet its a combo of no sway bars, alignment, and lightweight springs since it was likely set up to drag race. Any specifics on the parts?
  21. Hilarious. On a side note they didn't make an 09 Camaro, they deserved to be fucked with.
  22. Can I get in on that? I'll make a few passes for you :gabe: Look forward to seeing how it turns out.
  23. Aaron is quite the large guy and he fit in the GTI just fine. I couldn't reach the pedals when I sat in his seat and I'm 5'10". One of those a few years old should fit the bill and be faster then your Maxima.
