  1. Looking forward to pics of parts when you get them back.
  2. You know if you installed some wings and turned the driver's seat around it would really be a flying bug.
  3. Hit the PCM while trying to start it. Personally I hate working on those old OBD1 PITA things, guess I'm spoiled with OBD2 and all the scanning equipment. Usually by the time I see them at the dealer someone has already thrown a bunch of parts at it and gave up. The early 90s computers are junk and failure is pretty common. Last car like that I had to replace twice because the first one off the shelf was bad too. Have fun bud.
  4. I don't feel like getting involved in a debate about how to buy a house or who to use. I wouldn't fly into a home sale blind so I would use an agent. The guy who helped me buy my house is a friend who not only races but gets into rental properties and such making fairly experienced and qualified to point out issues with any house I was looking at. It was very easy because he constantly sent houses for sale meeting the criteria we wanted and showed us quite a few before we decided on one. Half of the houses he showed us he talked us out of for various reasons, a couple of houses he showed us twice. Its very good to have a trusted realtor helping you make a purchase in my opinion, and I would use him again. If you want his information I'll PM it to you, I'm not posting a friends personal cell phone.
  5. Shit annoys me too, but if someone is dumb enough to over pay for something thats their problem. Sounds like you stepped on the forum rules for posting non-sense in the for sale sections of CR, move on. **disclaimer, I don't even know what thread we are talking about nor did I read it. I just felt like putting my 2 cents in anyway**
  6. So you're mad that I infracted you for posting a nude picture? It wasn't linked, and it wasn't in the NWS section, beleive me I could care less who did it, if I have to modify your post to comply with the rules you'll get infracted. I do not care.
  7. F-bodies are 5x4.75 FYI, 5x120 is closest but f-bodies are not metric, and not the same as a w-body (w-bodies are metric and iirc not 5x120)

What is it about you and youtube videos? Can't you at least post it properly if you're going to insist and post them?
  10. It's not similar its the same. A 5.3 or 6.0 is exactly the same as an LS1 as far as sensors and demensions go. As for the LT1 to LS1 conversion, the engine mounts are different, the trans bell pattern is different (not entirely different but not all bolts match up), the torque converter pilot and bolt circle is different, the wiring is different, the radiator is different (but can be made to work), and I'm sure a dozen other things I'm not thinking of at the moment. The easiest way to perform a swap like this is to get an entire dropout from a truck or f-body so you have the wiring harness, engine, transmission, PCM, MAF, and then you'll either need conversion mounts or a different k-member. To be honest I'm really not sure what you'd get into making the gauges and such work. The accesories would need to be off an LS1 f-body (I suppose GTO or Vette accesories would work but the truck accesories interfere with the car intake manifold you would need to clear the hood and cowl). There is basically nothing about the LS that is the same as an LT1 when it comes to reusing anything. Anything specific you'd like to know after reading up I'd be happy to try and answer it since I know the LS1 f-body platform pretty well.
  11. I could care less if the robber turned back around or what, he deserved to get shot and the robber is lucky he's not dead. Fuck the stupid low life theif. It sounds like the cops beleived his story, no fucks given.
  12. What a fucking badass chick. Car guy's wet dream. and of course this sucks, fuck theives, fuck them.
  13. This what I was thinking, but I have doubts on what coilovers that can be found that won't be way over dampened for some soft drag race spring rates. If he's willing to spend $2k I'd think he could find someone to build some.
  14. Sounds like a set of street coilovers designed for a mild drop. have you found any with a good range of adjustment on the damper that you can swap out soem universal springs on? You know like how you can buy different length ad rate springs in 2" or 2.5" diameter. Maybe you could peice something together. After typing that out it doesn't sound like a good possiblity.
  15. Just to clarify. It's a decent converter and was working fine when I helped him take it out. Wagner ended up with my old trans/converter set-up and everything was still working fine when he took this out.
  16. Thats a loaded question, I'm no suspension guru and I beleive that this topic will get all sorts varied response. So many variables will play a role and since I'm sure you want to drive it on the street I think you'll have to pick something conservative and start there. Hopefully the shocks valved close. Desired ride height will play a role so you can store some energy in the springs for weight transfer. Also you're working with something pretty unique. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that I doubt you'll get a great answer on CR. If it were me I'd call a few companies that make their living doing this, see what somebody like Midwest Chassis has to say, or some place that does suspension set-ups on those cars. At least a place like that might have some good info on suspension travel and be able to provide a good starting point.

    22LR Pistol

The only gun I've ever shot at a range was a S&W 22A, really easy to shoot and accurate. Good gun in my opinion, but I have little gun experience.
  18. Jeg's has some on display, IPS did before they moved maybe they still do? Take the time to sit in some, I've tried out the Kirky seats and think they're pretty nice but you should sit in some.
  19. Honestly I find it much easier to pull the front O2 and see if the car comes to life. However in a lot of cases like this a poor running engine leads to a clogged cat. Even if it is the cat there would still be a good chance that there are other things wrong.
  20. I'm in and hopefully bringing a hangout virgin.

Yeah I think so, unless the pic is flipped.
  22. They used to have it at the fairgrounds when I was a kid, but thats before your time. It would be cool to do that again. that was actually my first thought Likely because you look down at them when you're inside. Outside stuff never really has bleachers that are much taller then the trucks. Just a thought.
